    Wow, I'm impressed. I'm usually really not a fan of these sorts of wargames, but this one actually got me intrigued. Probably not enough to get it, but enough that I want to try it out. Funnily enough, it actually reminds me more of Watergate than a traditional wargame.

    Jon is the best, that is all. Need to learn a game? Hope he covers it.

    Watergate is our favorite 2 player game, so this looks like a good step up.

    Great play through. Well explained. Ordered the game because of your play through.

    This game looks great. The asymmetry serves it well as a head to head 2-player game. Another one that you’ve added to my acquisition list. 😅❤️

    Very excited you decided to do a playthrough of this one Jon, thanks! Small slip of the tongue at 1:15 where you say the year as 1863 rather than 1683 : )

    But I'm courious about that dice tray. It looks amazing. Link please!!!

      The dice tray is amazing, and it was a gift from the person who made it. Unfortunately, they don't sell them.

    was really invested in this one & wondering if you played it out to the end? Need to know which side won!? Either way, more war game coverage please! :) :)

      I didn't, sorry about that. I suspect it wasn't going to pan out well for the Habsburgs though :P

    During the first battle does your fortification not impact the other player forcing them to pull back troops from the front lines?

      Unfortunately, it's been too long since I played this game to remember the rules enough to answer your question. Sorry about that!

    Around 28:00 you talk about recalling discarded troops, but say we don't have any yet. Surely the Ottomans are down 3 so far? Edit: Ah there's a difference between those and ones that need refreshing.

    Hmm… Interesting war-like game. Unfortunately, to me, it seems like the actions would be so scripted. For example, Player A attacks Player B’s fortificaions and removes them; in response, Player B puts up more fortifications; (even if it is only one more); then Player A attacks the fortifications again, etc. You can see this sort of play around 35:35-37:02 in this video.

    • @BestCheckedIn
      @BestCheckedIn Год назад

      It's lower efficiency to make fortifications than remove them. Need two actions to remake 2. Only need one mine to blow it up and the structural forts die forever
