Its really embarrassing that they market the series x as the worlds most powerful console, yet their own 1st party owned studio consistently puts out better versions of their own games on ps5 😳
If slightly better shadows in 99% of those ports equals better version to you that is hilarious.

@@DLastResort for this game yes, the game is clearly bugged on the Xbox side. The other games no it’s a like for like except shadows. Obviously this doesn’t include grounded as that is a step above on the Xbox vs ps5.

Microsoft buys Bethesda Game Studios and they still release the more stable patch for PS5 😂

It's rather comical in hindsight to go back to the time of the Bethesda acquisition and see people thinking that it'd mean Bethesda would stop doing dumb things - even now that they're Xbox first-party developers, they managed to make the Xbox version of their game the worst.
At least they didn't do a completely unnecessary remake and charge us 70 bucks the way Naughty Dog would've. Much happier with this option.

So to summarize:
They basically released a PC version for the current gen consoles, that broke existing and essential quality of life improvements/mods.
This version is currently not even working properly on Xbox.
There is no HDR, no motion blur or new post-processing (not even in the 30/40fps modes which is madness) no ray tracing, no graphical improvements, apart from minor tweaks to LOD, volumetrics, shadow resolution that PC version already had... Also, why is there a 30/40 fps mode in such an old game?
This game is almost 10 years old and Xbox and PS5 are still dropping frames to 50s.
According to John's standards, we could easily call this game "retro" in just few months.
Ultrawide screen stretches HUD from 16:9 and simply zooms in the whole FOV - there is no proper widescreen support. (this is what mods fixed ages ago)
Locked to 60fps and if you unlock it, the game falls apart.
Now compare this "next gen" update to Witcher 3 real next gen update, which was also free, that shipped with perfect HDR, ray tracing and plethora of other visual improvements.

Yes. Both quality and performance works. Bethesda said officially the quality mode runs at 60fps also on Xbox series x which confused people since the patch notes said otherwise. Both toggles work as intended. Don't trust RUclipsrs
@@surgeb94 thats not the case,I have tested both versions and can confirm that the quality mode on ps5 shows more details in the draw distance. Bethesda needs to fix this

Weird one..i noticed reticules on scoped weapons seem to be missing on ps5..
Been using mine with 120 hz 40 fps on ps5. Looks nice considering its age.

So no ray tracing? Not improved textures? Witcher 3 implemented all of those features a long time ago and it's an older game.

not exactly, so far the PS5 version is receiving far more crash reports than Xbox

The load in distance is laughable, game looks great for about 10ft in front. And don’t get me started on the lack of sliders for fov brightness and hdr settings
Fov is fine. You don't need to zoom out and distort everything, that always looks weird when people do that.

My performance mode on PS5 when turned off gets me 1440p with 120fps weird to get that when performance mode turn off crazy.

Look at the table and chairs infront of the house. They are gone in performance mode and both modes on xbox. Where present on xbox backcompat and ps5 quality. As an example.

At least on the PC, we had mods to fix some of those issues.

The quality mode (or non-performance mode, there's an on-off switch for some reason) on Xbox series x has horrible frame drops.
Some nice improvements but the FR drops on Series X are really intrusive for me.

There's no quality mode on Xbox. You can turn performance mode off but the image and frames don't change.

Tried it a few days ago. Got to concord, listened to Preston going on about settlements and uninstalled it. It was fine for a one time play through but not again when there are other better games and I'm not sure what they actually did to improve it anyway

All Bethesda games have ATROCIOUS lighting issues if playing on an HDR tv/monitor with 1000nits. It's legit blinding and painful to play.

The info you really wanted to know to save time:
Does creation club still bork your game? Yes. Yes it does. 1st game, 3rd crash corrupted save.
Don't know what they did but mod or not in Fallout 4 after the XS upgrade has some serious stutter issues.
Didn't have any issues with Skyrim when they released the XS version. Not having any performance issue on the PS5 with Fallout 4 but don't play it on there due to the limited mod section. Xbox has many mods.
Microsoft makes money by selling the software, so whatever platform it runs best on isn't a priority for them. Same situation with running Windows vs. Linux workloads in Azure. The OS choice also isn't priority as long as your workloads are running up the bill.

Lol fo76 doesn't crash every 20mins. Maybe on PC but it's been extremely stable on my xbox series x for more than a year
been playing for about 30 hours and had one crash.
Need a New Vegas remaster
A modern remake would be better.

This update didnt keep it from crashing on me 4 times in one play through which is the reason why it got deleted after the 4th crash

Because the games physics are tied to the framerate. Unlocking framerate on pc to go past 60 causes engine related problems

Also in steam deck it’s bricked. Zero issues before patch, and after patch content crashes

Witcher 3 went from 30gb to 57gb on PC with it's next gen. RayTracing, HDR, even better optimization, etc, and didn't need 20gb! It's far bigger and better than FO4
Got verified on Steam Deck, but frame rate/hz don't match. Setting it to 90fps caps the gale at 60. 30fps at 60hz

Game doesn't save save files. Loved playing an hour to find that one out. Fix your game, it was working pre-patch!

Some of the guns in my game just wont load they are invisible , and other items are just a big exclamation mark, not even FO3 did this crap hahaha

Yes!
Only Bethesda can bring out a huge patch introducing performance mode with a toggle that does nothing. Quite astonishing.
Bethesda should be embarrassed with the issues on Series consoles. The worst part is, based off of their tweet regarding the issues, they seem to think it’s working as intended.
The really dickish part of this was Bethesda not bothering to contact the folks developing Fallout London, which was massively popular with the fanbase, and highly anticipated. They didn't even announce this upcoming update until it released, knowing that the modding community is all that has kept this game alive until now. That's just wrong.

Don’t forget that this is not the only game that runs better on the PS5. Usually games run better on the PS5 due to getting frequently updates and optimization. (Quick research and you find lot’s of information about this topic)

Idk of there's a way to change fov in first person mode but in third person hold the button that switches between view modes and move the right stick up or down while holding that button and it will move the camera further or closer

Experienced my first bugs ever on my ps5 after getting stuck for a minute as a ghoul attacked me. After rasom ghouls were suspended in mid air.
My game crashed twice before leaving the vault.
I'm just annoyed that the ps5 trophies are separate from my ps4 trophies version

Michael- FYI that you can play the PC version over 60fps without mods. I’m doing it right now at a 120fps on a 7600x/7900xt PC without any mods installed.

Haven't played fallout 4 since its ps4 days so 60fps was a welcome on ps5, tin foil hat mode I'm convinced that all these microsoft owned studios that make games for ps5 that perform better than series x, is a sneaky tactic by Microsoft so when they buy another publisher like EA sony can't use the same complaint they used for the abk deal.

@@nathanhighvoltage5259sony cited that Microsoft should the deal be approved would purposefully make ps5 versions of cod and select games inferior to xbox, they even thought they could possibly making it exclusive after the deal is done obviously the last one definitely isn't happening, but the fact that ps5 versions of xbox exclusives are working better and has some features that their own machine doesn't have after being on series x for a long time is suspicious to me.
