One of my absolute favorite things Julia does on this show is when, during these episodes, the crew are clearly not getting it so she's like "ok I'll make a change that will totally give it away," then moves one (1) line approximately 2 millimeters to the right and changes absolutely nothing else.
I know as soon as Julia mentions "vibes" its gonna go off the rails because julia's interpretation of a character's vibes are so astronomically off the beaten path and thats why she's my favorite drawfee

Julia in a room of cartoonists humanising characters not based off iconic shapes/motifs or anything but based off of personality and context of the character instead is so funny to me like. The way her mind works
It's crazy how Julia's go to is swoopy curvy lines, i remember when she used to default to all straight lines and sharp angles. Love watching all of their styles grow and develop, its really cool to go back and watch old eps and see how much they've changed
tbf to julia, in combination with the chewing smirk, as soon as jacob said "who's a confident character that wears a robe" I did immediately think bugs bunny
She's not even wrong, but she's absolutely right she goes for vibes not visual characteristics, which in a VISUAL prompt, void of the context it's not obvious lol.
I'm sure someone has already commented on this, but I love how, with the exception of Scrat, Julia just draws the voice actors of the characters from 'Ice Age'.
As someone who has watched three of the ice age movies I can firmly say that I had No earthly idea who Julia was drawing. My best guess was the penguins of Madagascar.
I could have sworn it was Quasimodo and his gargoyle friends. One even has the fangs on the lower jaw. Meanwhile, every single one of those Ice Age characters should have noticeably long teeth on their upper jaws.
Can we talk about how Jerry was actually SO JERRY that I got it before she even drew Tom? Like guys the whiskers are wild and the little slick guy energy is so spot on. Julia, this one was perfect I don’t care what anyone else says💕😭🥺
@@its99pm I think the Tom was good, because I often remember specifically how deflated he'd sometimes get after failing miserably, and I felt really bad for him :D
I got caught up on Speedy Gonzales, so I was close and then the Tom didn't help because I just thought 'Sylvester's supposed to be kind of naive or a little dumb, not depressed'; which is just about as wrong as it is for Tom
I truly think Nathan should be in episodes where they have to guess Julia's drawings. He gets her mindloops like nobody else. Plus Julia's drawings make Nathan laugh, and that makes me happy.
I actually correctly clocked him as Odie before the hair was drawn, because a was like, "There hasn't been a thought behind those eyes in the past century, it HAS to be Odie"
Julia is just. So talented. As exhibited by dozens of speed draws, Drawtectives, design challenges, etc. But when it comes to remembering an established character and representing them in any recognizable way she's just...missing that part. The gap moe is so insane I love it
Gap moe, from what i understand is a kind of cuteness that comes from the gap between ones expectations of what someone would/can do based on their percieved personality/character, and their actual abilities/behavior
I was actually thinking of Scrat UNTIL she drew that collar, then I thought, oh, this is obviously a vulture (beaky nose + feather collar + bald head & neck) or some other kind of bird
Around 39:20 when Julia draws the swoopy bangs and bun, I immediately got flustered like when you run into your crush unexpectedly, but when it was revealed to be Tweety Bird, I was shooketh. xD
For real. I love how they realized that Julia alone is a content creating machine and capitalizing on it hahaha. Julia episodes never fail to make me cackle
I've been angling for a series of videos where Nathan describes literally anything at all. I mean this with so much love, but Nathan's descriptions of people feel like his version of Julia's remembering characters.
Me too😭 I was so sure that was Rico having a breakdown and the other 3 penguins in the back and when she finally said it wasn't Madagascar I couldn't believe it
With every drawing, I become more convinced that Julia was raised in a alternate dimension where all cartoons were just slightly off. Can't wait for more.
I was thinking Tweedy bird until she said it wasn’t 2D/hand drawn. (Tweedy’s paranoid about seeing a puddy tat, Sylvester added in, and then what could have been Rex about the time she derailed that line of thinking.)
when she started drawing the sidekicks i knew it was scrat IMMEDIATELY bc i was obsessed with the first ice age movie as a kid. julia legit did a good job on that one, i just think ice age is a less remembered classic now even though it was actually pretty great
I figured it was ice age at that moment too but I thought the twitching guy was Sid, not because it looked like him, but because of how long it took her to draw Sid with the other two lol
I watched Ice Age with my niece and nephew and realized a) it's even better than I remembered and b) I really did not remember a lot about it (I'd totally forgotten that there were humans in it, despite there being a human as part of the main plot)
"The third time we do this we'll get Pokémon Jablinskis" is both a great addition to a future Inscrutable Drawfee Moments compilation AND made me think of the crew getting some sort of fake Polish pastry shaped like different Pokémon before/ after recording that episode
I can’t believe how spot on the ice age one is and yet I was just as frustrated as Jacob and Karina at not being able to figure it out. After Julia said it I was like “oh my god how did I not see it?”
@@picrokat ok but you are SPOT ON bc that was *literally* me too. Holy frick dude, I was so scared it wasn’t gonna be Tom and Jerry tho, like holy heck.
I am once again reminded that the machinations of Julia's mind are an enigma. Like associations based almost exclusively on vibes. Like Julia's Woodstock and Snoopy, I wouldn't say that's necessarily them visually, but I could see them being vibbing hipsters, you know.
At about 28:00 i uttered "is that ice age you piece of shit" outloud. Like, i could not help myself. I love Julia so much. Like honestly, at this point, it's a talent.
Julias really been carrying with these character challenges. They may not be correct but boy are they entertaining to watch happen. It’s like a car crash you can’t look away from.
I am 54 and never even came close to watching Ice Age, and thought he was Ren for a while because of the squinty eye and infinite stress lines, but then, even pre-fur collar, I remembered Ice Age from cultural osmosis.
At 27:59 I screamed “ITS FUCKING SCRAT FROM ICE AGE!!!!” SHE MANAGED TO DO IT SO POORLY SND THEN SO PERFECTLY AT THE SAME TIME!!!! Julia is a wizard and I love her
The moment Julia started making her "clue" look more Ray Romano-y, it clicked. My head fell into my hands and I repeatedly muttered "It can't be Sid the Sloth. It can't be. Julia, it can't be Sid the Sloth." I let out the heaviest sigh of relief when it was revealed.
I couldn't guess Ice Age, but I did recognise the facial expressions and spent the whole section trying to unlock my memory. When she revealed it was Scrat I thought it was probably the best one
Julia's Jerry was actually very good and I had it early on, and then she started drawing the other guy and I thought "oh no, I'm wrong, that's definitely not Tom."
this is the prime example of julia understands the assignment but the interpolations are so outside the popular tropes that its hilarious in the best way

This is my Roman empire
This is my Roman empire
this might be houndboyjoestar8757's roman empire
tbf to julia, in combination with the chewing smirk, as soon as jacob said "who's a confident character that wears a robe" I did immediately think bugs bunny
I do absolutely associate bugs bunny w/ chilling in big slippers & a fuzzy bathrobe tbh
I was with Karina on Foghorn Leghorn
@@illadiel6049 he got that looney tunes smug
She's not even wrong, but she's absolutely right she goes for vibes not visual characteristics, which in a VISUAL prompt, void of the context it's not obvious lol.
"you know what? un-brothers your bear" has me in tears. also julia deciding to draw tom and jerry and not even knowing which is which
I'm sure someone has already commented on this, but I love how, with the exception of Scrat, Julia just draws the voice actors of the characters from 'Ice Age'.
weirdly, despite not knowing that was ray ramano, the mammoth's jablinkski was what made me think ice age
As someone who has watched three of the ice age movies I can firmly say that I had No earthly idea who Julia was drawing. My best guess was the penguins of Madagascar.
My guess was the chicken from Moana
I could have sworn it was Quasimodo and his gargoyle friends. One even has the fangs on the lower jaw. Meanwhile, every single one of those Ice Age characters should have noticeably long teeth on their upper jaws.
@@meep5667 I think his name was Hei'Hei or something
That was my guess until Ray Romano appeared
I also thought it was Penguins of Madagascar
Can we talk about how Jerry was actually SO JERRY that I got it before she even drew Tom? Like guys the whiskers are wild and the little slick guy energy is so spot on. Julia, this one was perfect I don’t care what anyone else says💕😭🥺
I was so confident on Jerry... until she started drawing Tom.
The pose was on point and the ears screamed mouse. Only thing that threw me off a bit was the bandage but it makes sense in hindsight.
@@its99pm I think the Tom was good, because I often remember specifically how deflated he'd sometimes get after failing miserably, and I felt really bad for him :D
Yeah it was easy to recognize
I got caught up on Speedy Gonzales, so I was close and then the Tom didn't help because I just thought 'Sylvester's supposed to be kind of naive or a little dumb, not depressed'; which is just about as wrong as it is for Tom
I love when Julia tries to draw a character and Jacob, upon finding out who she is attempting to draw, says some form of, "No, you're wrong."
*_IT’S NOT OKAY, DAD!_*
I truly think Nathan should be in episodes where they have to guess Julia's drawings. He gets her mindloops like nobody else. Plus Julia's drawings make Nathan laugh, and that makes me happy.
And he just says “Julia…” and I miss that
@@Littlewulff and you can hear the disappointment/despair in his voice
He might not have been ready for another Bobby Hill incident
Nathan would’ve got Snoopy and been SO disappointed
@@BatttleBun I can imagine that 😂
I actually correctly clocked him as Odie before the hair was drawn, because a was like, "There hasn't been a thought behind those eyes in the past century, it HAS to be Odie"
Julia is just. So talented. As exhibited by dozens of speed draws, Drawtectives, design challenges, etc. But when it comes to remembering an established character and representing them in any recognizable way she's just...missing that part. The gap moe is so insane I love it
God had to nerf her somehow
GAP MOE??? 😂
what is a gap moe
Gap moe, from what i understand is a kind of cuteness that comes from the gap between ones expectations of what someone would/can do based on their percieved personality/character, and their actual abilities/behavior
not gap moe 😭
love that julia's "clues" are all either just very slightly changing the hair or face, or drawing another indiscernible man
It's so much harder when you hear other people's suggestions. 😂 especially when Karina named human characters, I completely forgot what we were doing.
obsessed with the implication that Ronald McDonald isn't human
Well yea he's a clown
he's a clown which is distinctly different from a human and not a profession
yeah he’s a real clown, like in Bigtop Burger
Yeah if Worthikids has taught me anything it’s that clowns are a supernatural entity
Well duh
I was loosing my goddamn mind for the Ice Age one because the moment Julia drew the fur collar, I went "oh no is that SCRAT?!"
Saaaaame.
I thought it was mojojojo😅
I don’t envy your internal monologue, I couldn’t handle Scrat using my rental space
I was wrong, but it's because I thought it was Sid. And Manny and Diego did not help with that.
I was actually thinking of Scrat UNTIL she drew that collar, then I thought, oh, this is obviously a vulture (beaky nose + feather collar + bald head & neck) or some other kind of bird
Obsessed with the way Julia draws the "vibes" of a character instead of the character itself. Her mind. Untenable
I love how odie is like energy personified and like Julia drew the most low energy dude i have ever seen
Sid is THE most accurate and the most afterthought.
Around 39:20 when Julia draws the swoopy bangs and bun, I immediately got flustered like when you run into your crush unexpectedly, but when it was revealed to be Tweety Bird, I was shooketh. xD
I feel like we’re watching the channel slowly morphing into being all guessing Julia’s character drawings, and I’m here for it
Agreed
For real. I love how they realized that Julia alone is a content creating machine and capitalizing on it hahaha. Julia episodes never fail to make me cackle
Considering Julia's attempts at pokemon were my gateway drug into the rest of Drawfee, it feels very correct.
I've been angling for a series of videos where Nathan describes literally anything at all.
I mean this with so much love, but Nathan's descriptions of people feel like his version of Julia's remembering characters.
she mentioned a long time ago she has aphantasia.
I love whenever Julia says "I'm gonna draw a clue," and it just makes things _more confusing_
The fact that she LOOKS UP THE CHARACTERS, then still can't make the Jablinskis even slightly resemble them.
For the ice age drawing, I was 100% convinced the entire time they were the penguins of Madagascar
Me too😭 I was so sure that was Rico having a breakdown and the other 3 penguins in the back and when she finally said it wasn't Madagascar I couldn't believe it
ME TOO!
It was the side kick vibes and the jackets!
No me too the coats really sold it for me lol
Same omg I’m in disbelief
same! i was convinced she was drawing Rico. i lost my mind when i finally realized it was Scrat
"I would tolerate him for an amount of time, until it stopped serving any purpose." High praise from Karina.
Julia's strangled affirmative when Karina incredulously says "THIS IS ODIE?" 11:35
Julia Neutral Face is now part of the Drawfee official repertoire. Please continue doing this, Julia. It's for our betterment
With every drawing, I become more convinced that Julia was raised in a alternate dimension where all cartoons were just slightly off. Can't wait for more.
I feel like these episodes should be bookended with a slideshow of Julia’s best work, just for contrast (and moral support lmao)
"I DON'T THINK OF ICE AGE! I do think about Turbo the Snail often though" - Jacob Drawfee
Relatable
As he should
This is my favorite genre of Drawfee, Guess What Julia Did
Ok, but listen... Listen... Think about it... What about,... Listen... What if ...
Other name for the genre: Julia how could you do this to my son?
😂😂😂
GUESS WHAT
@@damekkoDark NABBIT’S BACK
Jacob: "ice age watchers probably knew this was Scrat"
I legit kept screaming 'MOJO JOJO'
You're so real for that ngl
I was absolutely certain that Julia’s Scrat was some kind of vulture
the funny thing is that there are vultures in ice age 2 and they have a singing number about eating the main characters
I was definitely getting bird vibes from him
@@renatal.129 it's a song from Oliver! too i think
I was yelling at my screen the whole time thinking it was gollum from lord of the rings 😭
I was thinking Tweedy bird until she said it wasn’t 2D/hand drawn. (Tweedy’s paranoid about seeing a puddy tat, Sylvester added in, and then what could have been Rex about the time she derailed that line of thinking.)
when she started drawing the sidekicks i knew it was scrat IMMEDIATELY bc i was obsessed with the first ice age movie as a kid. julia legit did a good job on that one, i just think ice age is a less remembered classic now even though it was actually pretty great
I was SO CONVINCED it was the penguins from madagascar until she changed “manny’s” face
I figured it was ice age at that moment too but I thought the twitching guy was Sid, not because it looked like him, but because of how long it took her to draw Sid with the other two lol
@@wilbraley1660I could have sworn I saw Mort making that face and she also drew a pretty good Maurice
I felt like I had been shot when the slight redraw of Jablinksi Manny's face actually made me realize it was scrat
I watched Ice Age with my niece and nephew and realized a) it's even better than I remembered and b) I really did not remember a lot about it (I'd totally forgotten that there were humans in it, despite there being a human as part of the main plot)
i love when jacob suggested diddy kong and jacob himself appeared on screen instead
"The third time we do this we'll get Pokémon Jablinskis" is both a great addition to a future Inscrutable Drawfee Moments compilation AND made me think of the crew getting some sort of fake Polish pastry shaped like different Pokémon before/ after recording that episode
I've seen every Ice Age Movie and grew up with them in my childhood and never in one million years would I have guessed that.
I can’t believe how spot on the ice age one is and yet I was just as frustrated as Jacob and Karina at not being able to figure it out. After Julia said it I was like “oh my god how did I not see it?”
Drawfee guessing Julia’s drawings must be actual hell for them. And WE LOVE IT.
And we all have them!
And they're just like us!
who needs em? (we do)
Me, out loud to an empty room: oh my GOD is this fucking ICE AGE.
I will be riding the high of this improbable success all week.
Me with guessing jerry after the ears 😭😭
I couldn't believe I guessed right either
I didn't get it till Jacob said "why are they so cold?" The i lost my shit
@@picrokat ok but you are SPOT ON bc that was *literally* me too. Holy frick dude, I was so scared it wasn’t gonna be Tom and Jerry tho, like holy heck.
same i was like "OMFG IS THIS _SCRAT_ ???"
I was so sure the proud little boy and tired old dilf were somehow curious george... she made the kid look SO curious and georgely
I am once again reminded that the machinations of Julia's mind are an enigma. Like associations based almost exclusively on vibes.
Like Julia's Woodstock and Snoopy, I wouldn't say that's necessarily them visually, but I could see them being vibbing hipsters, you know.
5:21 "this is Combat SpongeBob" made me immediately go "SpongeBob SquareUp"
I'm crying 😂
I was convinced the kid was Nemo because of the bandaid. The guy was definitely giving Marlin energy.
I agree, those would have made sense.
At about 28:00 i uttered "is that ice age you piece of shit" outloud. Like, i could not help myself. I love Julia so much. Like honestly, at this point, it's a talent.
the confidence of "ohhh, Simba!" absolutely ruined me
Same. And then I started thinking it could be Scar though. Then the guys in the background could actually pass for Pumbaa, Simba and Timon...
I was staring the screen thinking that was Rafiki!
Forbidden Julia Pokemon Jablinski is exactly the quality of word salad i expect from this channel, thank you
I got Jerry right away, but Tom was so sad I tricked myself into thinking it was Speedy Gonzales and Slowpoke Rodriguez.
I was convinced it was George and the Man with the Yellow Hat
Honestly, you were onto something
@@kathryngal3 I thought it was Curious George at first too!!
Julias really been carrying with these character challenges. They may not be correct but boy are they entertaining to watch happen. It’s like a car crash you can’t look away from.
I am 54 and never even came close to watching Ice Age, and thought he was Ren for a while because of the squinty eye and infinite stress lines, but then, even pre-fur collar, I remembered Ice Age from cultural osmosis.
obsessed with her drawing the most generic dudes possible each time and being shocked nobody can guess them
At 27:59 I screamed “ITS FUCKING SCRAT FROM ICE AGE!!!!” SHE MANAGED TO DO IT SO POORLY SND THEN SO PERFECTLY AT THE SAME TIME!!!! Julia is a wizard and I love her
Julia: I'm going off of vibes here
Also Julia: *draws Bugs Bunny as a laid back upper class gentleman*
The moment Julia started making her "clue" look more Ray Romano-y, it clicked. My head fell into my hands and I repeatedly muttered "It can't be Sid the Sloth. It can't be. Julia, it can't be Sid the Sloth."
I let out the heaviest sigh of relief when it was revealed.
Them not knowing Ice Age adds to the lore of one of the previous episodes where Nathan drew a bear as the Ice Age baby grown up
I couldn't guess Ice Age, but I did recognise the facial expressions and spent the whole section trying to unlock my memory. When she revealed it was Scrat I thought it was probably the best one
Can I just say: Julia's second hint-needed character was a BRILLIANTLY immediately-Identifiable Ray Romano before and after she started editing it.
Julia's Jerry was actually very good and I had it early on, and then she started drawing the other guy and I thought "oh no, I'm wrong, that's definitely not Tom."
this is the prime example of julia understands the assignment but the interpolations are so outside the popular tropes that its hilarious in the best way
I got Bugs Bunny when Julia drew the robe! I don't know why I feel so accomplished by this, but you take the wins where you can get them. I love these episodes.
the unfortunate side effect of falling asleep to yall at 3am is i was not tired at all when yall uploaded and now im 5 mins in and yawning like a mf.. i pavloved myself to fall asleep to your voices
Oh you should definitely fall asleep to the Drawfee Extra vod/vid titled "Lizard Calm at 3am (not clickbait)"! Definitely appropriate considering you also sleep at 3am :)
Don't look at the comments though, there's spoilers on how chill it is 💕
@@HazeEmry Is that the "check this out" stream?
@@Yuuriyurinah probably not....
Julia’s “I’m gonna draw a clue” implies the drawing up to that point didn’t have any 😂
"Jablinski" is also a nickname Jack Black goes by sometimes, which is fitting because he is kind of a cartoon character made real lmao
Once Jacob said "Now he's just colder!" I literally SCREAMED "It's Ice Age, OML it's Ice Age!!!!"
I know right? I saw it was Scrat as soon as the fur hood was finished
idk what it is about julia drawing something no one else can comprehend but i laugh until i get dizzy and start feeling vaguely ill every single time.
Fun fact: Woodstock first appeared in the Peanuts on April 4, 1967, but was not officially named until June 22, 1970. The Peanuts at large, including Snoopy, have been around since 1950.
