Julia is technically correct (the best kind of correct.) Animaniacs premiered on Fox in 1993, 2 years before Kids WB even existed. They are WB characters, but technically not Kids WB characters, even though they were brought into that programming block later.
The Beast Julia drew looks like those medieval paintings of exotic animals you find in ancient manuscripts, done by artists that had never seen said animal before and had only heard vague stories about
I frickin’ LOVE that whenever they mention a character now, it’s one of the team’s past drawing of that character that pops up on the screen. Makin’ me wanna show this video to someone who’s never seen Drawfee before.
I love both renders of the beast so much, I like how distinctly you can see the style differences and choices when they're right next to each other like that. Also if I were an appliance I'd be the wireless earphones of a fool such as myself so they wouldn't always be pulling apart their bed looking for one of me and I could put myself back in the case rather than constantly being scattered to the winds.
there are two kinds of people: ones who would be earbuds to always be easily found, and ones who would be earbuds to intentionally lose only one to spite the person who wants to cram them into an ear canal
The EDITING! I've been noticing more and more of the transitions but that title screen followed by the fire whoosh was so cool! The Eeyore expression marks! David is popping off lately and I'm here for it.
Fun fact, I know when of the animators who worked on beauty and the beast, Bruce. He is a double amputee and has prosthetic legs. When the team was working on the design for the beast, one of the other artists based their design off of some monster costume leg prosthetics that Bruce had and that’s what they ended up going with for the final draft.
god it's cool that there's someone out there making monster legs for amputees to take to costume parties. Like, it's not cool that they're missing the legs in the first place but it's certainly making the best of a bad situation to give them the option.
I googled "Snagglepiss" for a laugh, and after a few clicks I ended up learning that (and I quote) "Warner Bros. Reboots Snagglepuss As A Gay Playwright Being Hunted By The U.S. Government". So THAT'S something that's been happening. I don't know about the content because I'm not really a comic books kinda guy, but the art is... It's a bit gnarly. Augie Doggie is there, and he looks like he's got the thousand-yard stare.
@@iPyromantic It's not horrifying or explicit, it's just very surreal (the fact that it exists, not the plot itsel which might be the most normal aspect of all of this) and artistically... let's say daring.
I haven't read the comic myself, but I've heard very good things and it's on my personal list to read based on all the acclaim, fwiw. There's also an award-winning reimagining of the Flinstones from the same initiative that is supposed to be excellent as well.
I feel like Julia's brain is a 2TB Solid State drive for survival skills and traditional art, but there is a small partition for cartoon characters that is only like 2MBs that accidentally got filled with song lyrics instead. (I hope this doesn't sound too mean. I promise we love your cartoon characters from memmy, Julia! You are awesome!)

10 years. He has been the Beast for ten years. "Ten years we've been rusting. Needing so much more than dusting". the song 'Be Our Guest' has it be 10 years. Meaning that Adam (the Prince) was 11 when he was cursed.
I’m not very far into the video but good gosh WELL DONE DAVID and whoever else may have contributed to the images chosen for all the spoken references they are all such specific and odd versions, always the unexpected image choice-and that’s called comedy. They feel like they were chosen with love.
This was so great, I really adore both Julia’s and Karina’s beasts. I feel like everyone drawing themselves as a magically transformed appliance could be a fun stream prompt, maybe even for a one big canvas stream
I don't think Jacob knows what a spin-off is... Fun fact: Xena the Warrior Princess is also a spin-off, of a (in my opinion) much worse show called Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. That doesn't stop Xena from being its own (much better) show.
Don't forget the other Hercules spin off, Young Hercules. Starring Ryan Gosling, and featuring special effects by a pre-LotR Weta Workshop. None of the above is a joke.
And the star of Hercules became a Right wing extremist that proudly complains about gay people, the trans community, and you know... other stuff like that. Meanwhile the star of Xena became a proud feminist and supporter of marginalized communities.
40:30 - "Animaniacs" started in 1993. "Pinky and the Brain" was a segment on the show and got its own spin-off series in 1995. They are featured in the "Animaniacs" opening theme song.
I would love to see a part 3 to this but where Julia has already made the characters and the others don't get to know who the fanart was of until after they've made their fanart piece 😌
All I could think during Nathan's fanart is "finger guns... finger guns... this guy does finger guns." There's just something about him. Also, making it a costume completely... two lines, changed the energy *completely* . He quickly went from "This is somebody's dad" to "chill , early twenties jerk in a costume" (*and then* he changed a third time to "...Uh... no. Lock him up. Please." xD) He's beautiful though!
I genuinely enjoy the fact they called out the now adult beast lovers who looked at the prince form and went “ew bring my goat demon bear back pls” as a child. I never thought the prince was handsome. I so enjoy the beast form.
One of the many formulas for making a Drawfee video that I will immediately love is to have the concept be anything "Julia Draws... from memory." I see anything like that and I click so quick that I don't even realize that I read the title. I love every single Drawfee video, but these are the ones that give me the most joy and the most laughs. Great job, everyone!
Okay good I was SEARCHING for this comment because I literally paused the episode and messaged my boyfriend about it saying that if I was right about it being Nina Tucker that I was going to take immense psychic damage
Julia's Wakko Warner looks a bit more like the Bosko redesign used in the episode of Tiny Toon Adventures where Bosko and Honey show up to teach kids about the black and white era of Looney Tunes. The original Bosko design was pretty clearly a "minstrel show" blackface character so Tiny Toons redesigned them to be kind of dog like, but other characters say things like "what's he supposed to be, some kind of bug?" - which is what I thought when I saw Julia's drawing. Anyway that episode of Tiny Toons was pretty obviously the inspiration to create Animaniacs, considering it was the same creative team.
the way when julia started drawing the final one i saw the hat and ears and IMMEDIATELY said "klonoa" extremely certain that if julia were to draw them from memory they would have courage ears. then she said it *wasn't* warner brothers and i immediately switched to wacko because i'm stupid, but ironically i was still correct.
38:00 this is how I feel about Drawfee. "I love that they were making referances to stuff I didn't understand." "Most of it went over my head and that's okay" "There's something very fun about watching a show that's like 'I don't think I'm supposed to be watching this they're not catering to me', and yet I can't look away." Many of the referances go right over my head but I find them very funny anyway and laugh along with everyone else and love the show lmfao.
If I were cursed to be an object, I'd want to be a throw pillow. That way I get to sleep all day and occasionally snuggle, but I don't have to worry about holding someone's head every night.
Lol Lumiere sings "ten years we've been rusting. Needing so much more than dusting" in the song "Be Our Guest" so the Beast must have been 10 or 11 when he was cursed.. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies too 💛💙
The Beast was 10 or 11 when he got cursed according to Lumiere. In “Be Our Guest” he sings “10 years we’ve been rusting, needing so much more than dusting” and the curse is broken /as/ the last petal falls, meaning that the final scene is his 21st birthday. So assuming Lumiere has kept accurate time (i mean, his best friend is a clock, c’mon, he’s accurate for sure), the witch cursed a pre-teen for following stranger danger rules :)

the fact that there is Stream art for nearly every character named is amazing.
The Beast Julia drew looks like those medieval paintings of exotic animals you find in ancient manuscripts, done by artists that had never seen said animal before and had only heard vague stories about
I physically felt Karina's "thank goodness" when it wasn't Parappa, it was my first coherent thought and I was genuinely so afraid
That was also my first guess, and immediately thought I don't need to see fanart of _that_
Who up snaggling they piss IS KILLING ME
An hour long Drawf ft Julia Memmies is the absolute treat i needed this week
I clicked on the video and started watching it, but I found out the runtime from this comment.
I frickin’ LOVE that whenever they mention a character now, it’s one of the team’s past drawing of that character that pops up on the screen. Makin’ me wanna show this video to someone who’s never seen Drawfee before.
I watched the older episodes regarding Julia’s drawings from memory yesterday- it feels like I manifested this episode out of my want for more lmao
Same I was watching the Bobby Hill ep literally as this was uploaded!
Thank you :prayer hands emoji:
@@Darrian. love that it's referred to as "the Bobby Hill episode" now lmao
And you made the world a better place (at least you made my day even better)
Please do it again in a few months
Hats off on the editing. Noticed it's a lot more animated than usual.
And Julia remains a menace.
Julia: they're going to be iconic characters, you'll get them easily.
Me, looking at the run time: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
When the words "Julia's Memory" are prominent in the title, you know it's going to be a great episode!🤣
Julia drew that first calf line on pink panther and I audibly gasped and blinked really hard hoping it wasn’t real
Lenny: I got some fuckin’ time to clean, union says I damn sure get some fuckin’ time to lean.
I hope Julia’s Beast becomes a recurring drawfee character Bc he’s the cutest ever
woah Julia's style looks so fucking sick this episode god dang. something about the beast is so flowy and shaped
When Julia said "its not a dog" I immediately flashed back to Bobby Hill. These episodes are so fun, please do more!
Augie Doggie is there, and he looks like he's got the thousand-yard stare.
.... I can't decide whether I need to look that up immediately or try and damp it down so I never feel the urge ever again.
@@hisownsidekick the one with genocide?
I looked it up and…….. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 THE STARE ON THAT DOG
I knew that this episode was gonna be great but can we talk about how fun the tranisitons and editing is for this one too?? Like the little animations and swipes? Perfect
10 years. He has been the Beast for ten years. "Ten years we've been rusting. Needing so much more than dusting". the song 'Be Our Guest' has it be 10 years. Meaning that Adam (the Prince) was 11 when he was cursed.
Okay, Julia recites Beauty and the Best versus SungWon recites Peter Pan, let's go.
I was thinking the same thing! Although, judging by Julia's attempts this episode, SungWon would win 😅
Julia was indeed an Iluminated manuscript artist in her past life, no one can change my mind.
@@TheCakeIAmOh no. I didn't know that...
And NCIS is a spin off of JAG.
I'm now realizing for the first time that most people probably don't know that
And the star of Hercules became a Right wing extremist that proudly complains about gay people, the trans community, and you know... other stuff like that. Meanwhile the star of Xena became a proud feminist and supporter of marginalized communities.
I love that after so many times trying to draw Courage the cowardly dog, Julia instinctively put his ears on a different character
Got so excited that Karina would be redrawing Julia’s beast ~ and I was not disappointed 🥰
He's drawn so handsomely, perfectly in the spirit of fanart
I feel like Julia's Pink Panther is a janitor while Nathan's is a line cook.
It's the only way I can explain the attitude vibes. XD
That is SO spot on! 😮
im absolutely obsessed with this beast. he looks so polite. little guy energy in a huge guy
“Who up snaggling they piss” and then it cuts to an ad of someone REALLY enjoying their drink.
Julias beast is absolutely incredible. hes so creature i cant stop laughing. i love him
The really grim part of Julia's Beast is that the stool he's sitting on definitely used to be a little urchin boy
Jacob can't comprehend that yes Pinky and Brain was own show, but it also started as a mini in Animaniacs also
All I could think during Nathan's fanart is "finger guns... finger guns... this guy does finger guns." There's just something about him.
Also, making it a costume completely... two lines, changed the energy *completely* . He quickly went from "This is somebody's dad" to "chill , early twenties jerk in a costume" (*and then* he changed a third time to "...Uh... no. Lock him up. Please." xD)
He's beautiful though!
I genuinely enjoy the fact they called out the now adult beast lovers who looked at the prince form and went “ew bring my goat demon bear back pls” as a child. I never thought the prince was handsome. I so enjoy the beast form.
it makes sense honestly, we get an entire movie with him in that form. all he gets is like a placid smile or something, right?
One of the many formulas for making a Drawfee video that I will immediately love is to have the concept be anything "Julia Draws... from memory." I see anything like that and I click so quick that I don't even realize that I read the title. I love every single Drawfee video, but these are the ones that give me the most joy and the most laughs. Great job, everyone!
Excited to see the hosts portraits updated for the 2024-2025 drawfee year as a toaster, panini press, blender, and a cleaver 🎉
I was convinced the first drawing was the dog from Full Metal Alchemist until Nathan & Jacob guessed the beast and I got so upset
Oh good I'm not the only one who thought of Nina
Okay good I was SEARCHING for this comment because I literally paused the episode and messaged my boyfriend about it saying that if I was right about it being Nina Tucker that I was going to take immense psychic damage
DEEPBLUEINK BACKGROUND ON THE INTRO!! I SAW THAT DAVID!!!
don't know how many people from brazil are here but Julia's wakkonkinda reminds me of Brazil's Favorite Catholic Ant: Smilinguido
Klonoa needs more rep. I WISH Drawfee makes like 1 fan art of Klonoa. Poor boy needs some love irl and in-canon
I also immediately thought Klonoa
STEP ASIDE EVERYTHING ELSE I'M DOING, JULIA IS DRAWING FROM MEMORY!!!
This is bound to be an absolute banger episode
I love Karina's infectious laugh,
I always end up looking like a dork laughing to myself in public while watching these videos
Jacob's version of Julia's version of Wakko looks like he hangs out with the little clothespin boy from the voice actor episode
If I were cursed to be an object, I'd want to be a throw pillow. That way I get to sleep all day and occasionally snuggle, but I don't have to worry about holding someone's head every night.
actually so proud of myself for recognizing wakko almost immediately
Lol Lumiere sings "ten years we've been rusting. Needing so much more than dusting" in the song "Be Our Guest" so the Beast must have been 10 or 11 when he was cursed..
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies too 💛💙
Jacob loves Julia's terrible memory so much, he married it!
40:47 the sequence of belligerent disagreement Jacob and Clinton-whisper Karina has me making the strangest face and laughing the strangest laugh!!!
0:42 and already a reason to give this episode a thumbs up. Screenshotting that and saving it for necessary situations.
Julia’s Wacko looks so instantly iconic in a way that is totally indescribable to me. Like the main character of a point and click adventure or something.
Julia’s beast is so adorable fr. He looks like he says stuff like golly.
Her pink panther looks like how someone would draw him to try to avoid copyright infringement. Make him look pretty similar but not exactly.
Her wakko is the least close. Missing markings and tail.
I cannot understate how much I adore Julia's Beast!
Don't call Jacob that!
he looks like a sad hyena
Julia saying "I googled 'cartoon characters'" and everyone else immediately busting out their Mr. Man voices had me in tears.
