First thing I turned off in BIOS when I upgraded to my 7800X3D. 1:18 "Norton internet security" checked by default. Gross, no thanks. Hope you at least got a decent kick back from Norton MSI... I'll stick to just downloading the drivers from the support page for the motherboard.

You can't download the "app", instead, it shows up the first time you turn on the machine but if you choose to skip it, it will not pop anymore so you'll have to go with MSI Center\LiveUpdate.

I do remember I got past it My computer has now been running fine for a year. But I don’t really remember what I did, honestly I think it’s fine if you just do without the msi utilities

this is terrible advice. There are multiple things in there that you really should probably not install on your computer. Please don’t put bad information out there for people to fuck up their systems.

MSI Center LiveUpdate essentially does the same thing so that's what you should go for when Installer disappears
