So, that's (sorta) intended. Basically, as you flip through videos on the internet, I would much prefer that you have to up the volume to hear me as opposed to me blowing your eardrums out after you click on the video. Fairly, the Module Monday videos are probably mastered a bit lower than they need to be, but that's mainly to better deal with peaks and whatnot beyond compression.
