Your right the simplicity of them make them great, even compare to modern Honda atvs these are the best. Fuel pumps, fuel injections and computers have over complicated atvs.
Honda really should have 4×4 option on the recon they would sell like hotcakes. I just got a 24 rancher and that's the only reason I got it over the recon. The recon is the closest to the old 300's and that's what I was looking for but they don't come 4×4 so had to go bigger.
Great video as always and I'll definitely say that I'm with @darrenwalker2365 on the 200sx... The simpler it is the easier it is to keep up on it. Found a nice rider my buddy was selling so it was a no brainer to snatch it and share the same joys i had on my brothers when i was a kid. Took me a few yrs to find solid racks and a hitch for it but now they're definitely worth their weight in gold for this lil yard mule i built and she's a beauty with the green fenders and black cowl like those Recons and Foremans. Happy Holidays and thanks for all the tips you share
Nice machines, we get them in all the time at the shop. Might be the most popular 2wd utility machines in the mud and snow belt. Harvey seems to be doing pretty well, and hard at work on my Warrior. In the meantime I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of my "new" 3 wheeler, which turned out to be a DR225 and not a DX225. The difference between them is the seat on the DX has a latch and the DR is bolted to the fenders so the seat that I had in stock will not go on in 5 seconds so t will have to wait till I swap out covers from one seat to another. No more hardtail 3 wheelers in my fleet. Are you still accepting pics for "what are you riding"? If so, when Harvey gets time I'll have him send you some pics, take care and keep busy.
@@mrcbuilds dang, I just finished a 185s build.. used a few of your builds to get er done.. 185s on a Yamaha blaster frame. A quick hone with new rings, new valves, valve springs, valve seals, resurfaced the head, ported the intake, ported polished the exhaust, 200x cam, crf 230 exhaust, new clutches, modified the shift star, rounded sanded polished, so it would shift easier ( hope I didnt go to far). Did that mod because the engine placement on the blaster frame was far up to have more front end weight, that made the shifter too far, so I shorted it, added another peg to the balster peg, all in oder to make your foot reach the shifter, with it being like 4 in long, was hard to shift it.. I'll let you know after the holidays, if it runs lol, how it runs, and if my shifting rig worked.. thanks for the videos
I grew up riding a 250 Timberwolve. Loved how basic and durable it was. Bought a new Honda recon last year and couldn't be happier

I would be happier if a 250 wasn't $5300 sticker price.

The statement "It's a Honda" says alot. Those things will run wounded for a long time and can be brought back from death with very little.
This is the last of the simple atvs.
I love these so much because of the electric shift!
They are very easy and fun to ride
Nah, foot shifter for the win
It is a good all around machine.
Yes they are, simple is best
Bonjour 👋

Close but in 1986 honda had the MIGHTY tough trx 200sx bullet proof.line them up the 200sx walks away slowly plus just a fun nibble bike.200sx
That is a great machine, the 200sx could be the perfect ATV.
My cousin has two of these and they are SO FUN to rud
Just great utility machines

I saw that warrior, looking good.
this exactly what I am looking for.
There great little machines
Affordable, tough, and easy on gas and the wallet!
Little tanks
That thang is like $5000+ affordable??
Best quad ever made! Nice job on the carb rebuild, tire mounting and good catch on the plug! Is that an Ultrasonic parts cleaner? 😀
Yes this is the 6L. I have had it 2 years nows. Very pleased with it.
👍👍👍😁
Someone needs to make a triple tree and forks for these things, would be a good 3 wheeler
That would be cool. The 85-88 big reds are the closest to these, just a little bigger in overall size.
👍
I just got 2 of these same thing 02 es recons
Hi Dustin, careful they may out last you! Lol thanks for watching.
Where can I get a Honda Hoarders flag like you have hanging up??!!!
Look up kim dwyer on FB she is handling the merch now. Great lady too.
@@mrcbuilds thanks bud
@@mrcbuilds apparently she don’t do it anymore she says..
that thing seemed to have a bit of a valve tick to it
Still waiting on a ride video of that 200 auto x
Me too, lol, i am tracking down a stator problem on that machine.

You played card that it was a barn find then you said it was your relatives.
Hey Repo, My relative owns the barn. This is all disclosed with in the first minute of the video.
