    💡Today's Question of the Day💡
    "Which dish would you rather try? The Roasted Basilisk, Mandrake and Basilisk Omelette, or the Mandrake and Big Bat Kakiage?"
    Feel free to leave your thoughts in a reply under this post! 👍

      Question: But yes Eggs are superpower :D now i get hungry, its 8:30 in germany
      /edit: actually i do a foto but youtube delete instantly the comment

      Scrambled eggs, with Black Forest Bacon (schwarzwälder Schinken) with minced garlic, sliced onions and sliced tomato in oil. The eggs arent salted and pepperd, cause the bacon has enough power. Only the garlic, tomato and onion has a bit pepper and salt.
      ///edit: you have to com the adress xD

    Kakiage is a traditional Japanese vegetarian dish.
    It is made by mixing gobo (burdock root), onion, carrot, etc. in a liquid of flour and potato starch dissolved in water, cutting into thin strips, and deep frying, often served with udon noodles or rice.

      Thanks a lot for helping explain this! I've never heard of Kakiage until now but it actually sounds pretty good 😅

    It would depend on how hungry I am. That omelet looked massive.

    Kakiage is basically just something thats mixed together with batter and fried. The closest nonfantasy equivalent would chicken strips and coleslaw dipped in batter rather than a dressing, then deep fried.

      A Western equivalent of Kakiage are vegetable fritters, deep fried, thinly sliced veggies in a well seasoned batter, a great accompaniment with chicken!

      The only time I remember kakiage appears is in prison school

      Legitimate kakiage are made of sliced onion, carrot and some tiny shrimps.

    Some lore from the Adventurer's Bible: part of the reason why Senshi is so dismissive of Chilchuck as the trap finder here is that Senshi isn't familiar with the half-foot race, so Senshi believes that Laios and Marcille are using a child to trigger all the traps.

    Kakiage for me. Kakiage is great, especially when the vegetables are crisp

    Let Marcille cook… just use a long string next time.
    Gotta go with the basilisk and mandrake omelette. I’ve always been a sucker for any egg dishes. Omelette forever 💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡

    Yeah there's the problem I had they mixed up the Cockatrice and Basilisk term a bit. And those reptile eggs, lil bit eugh this week.

    • @CloudyCrow
      @CloudyCrow  6 месяцев назад +3

      Yeah that part was super confusing to me. I might've misread but I think they said the Cockatrice did exist but it was a different monster further down in the dungeon lol

      @thanatos5150 6 месяцев назад +4

      The manga represents some "classic" fantasy monsters in different an unexpected ways. Mostly to fit in with the theme of, you know, eating the monsters and representing them as part of a complex, living ecosystem. This is just one of them.

    • @XShrike0
      @XShrike0 6 месяцев назад +3

      I believe there was the mixup in the manga as well. Which is strange considering what a big Baldur's Gate fan the author seems to be. Who knows what the reason is. The other type of monster does exist in his setting.

      @@XShrike0 Is this confirmed in the Japanese release or is this a Locisation problem? I don't like bringing it up but these days if I hear "there was a problem in the manga" my head goes "was this in the Japanese or is this because of the people changing things?"

    • @XShrike0
      @XShrike0 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@UncensoredScion I read a fan translation when it was being published. I have a faint memory of people arguing that they were fighting a cockatrice but, it was called a basilisk.
