At the end of the day it’s your life, if you’re enjoying the job that’s your business, forget everybody else. Furthermore the roads, the cleanliness of the towns and villages and the standard of driving is far better in Belgium and Germany than the U.K.👍
It's good for you , it's good for the channel and you will always get negative folk on RUclips.
Unlike a lot of folk it's called having the balls to try new things and for many they just don't have any!.
Great video, roads look much better in Europe! Drove to Germany for moto gp few years back and loved it!
Seen you drive a Merc, Volvo, Daf and now Scania…which one would you say is best?
You must have a toll box in the windscreen for belgium/germany ?, nice little trip that, misserable weather tho, when i did "continental" as we called it in the 70's in my F88 290 I had a 450 litre (100)gallon tank good for around 600/800 miles usually 7/8 mpg as we did mostly 100kph, no regard for hours whatsoever !, hard happy days long gone, the 70's was the best times,.cheers,.
Was bored here . Then your video pups up martyn 👍.
Great vid and variety. They have a lovely pleet brougthtons.
Safe travels
☘️👍☘️
Another great vlogg Martyn so glad your finally doing what you love ❤️ 🚚
Martyn, I've learned in life you don't need to justify yourself to anyone. You're doing what you want to do and that's all that matters. Fundamental thing is Claire is fine with your move too
Always interesting Jenko. Thanks for posting.
Jenko don't forget, there are roads in Germany where a HGV is only allowed to travel 60 km, despite the signpost being 80 km, but this only applies to other traffic.
I’ve never actually seen any places in Europe or even been. Just little old England, the driving on the wrong side of the road doesn’t seem to bother you at all. I don’t think I could cope with that, especially with the steering wheel being on the wrong side for the road. I remember when I was a HGV plater and picked up a road sweeper, couldn’t drive it haha. Btw, your vids have been helping me this week get through the days. Been off sick with flew all week. So thanks for the entertainment 👍🏻
Hi Martyn, glad to see you are still enjoying life on the road. I passed my class 1 at the beginning of November though still on tippers at the moment, have a good week out and about
A lovely way to spend an hour of Sunday morning Martyn, so enjoying your vlogs from over the water and back to the UK! In life you have to do what’s best for you, so don’t listen to the keyboard warriors! As long as you and Claire are happy that’s all that matters! Keep up the good work and keep safe! 🙂🚛👍
Good Vlog this watched this afternoon and almost felt like I was double manned with you 😂
Always see these trucks on the road, always look the part!
Hello Jenko,
I have been following your vlogs for years. There have been major road works in Antwerp for a number of years, so you can only drive through it at night, but during the day it is always a disaster. Greetings from Belgium
Andy 👍👍🍻🍻
Great video mate ,even though it’s only a 450 use the power mode switch on the steering wheel makes a bit of a difference on the hills, not sure if you know it’s there as you said it was you’re first drive in a next gen
Nice to see you got back safe Martyn. Stay safe, and be good.
Really enjoying your foreign adventures! Glad you are enjoying the new job. Look forward to the next vlog. All the best Martyn.
That was some journey you had compared with running around the UK. Their roads are much better than ours, even the country roads. Drive safe and enjoy your Christmas, whatever you are doing.
A great vlog as always Martyn. One thing you may remember when driving in Europe...If a vehicle is entering onto your road from the right and there are no road markings in front of that vehicle, then it has the right of way over you. In other words, you have to yield to that vehicle! Toodles!
Hi jenko hope you enjoy Europe I did it for 25 yrs & really enjoyed it.
Hope you have a great time of all the countries I did Germany as my favourite enjoy & take care
Hi Martyn, another interesting vlog. Ref the German motorway names. It’s the A4 (Autobahn). Keep up the good work and stay safe out there. 😎🇬🇧
Fancy BTS myself next year when I leave the RAF, more than used to being away from home and enjoy EU work too. Happy to see you move there as ive been keeping up with the Breeze for info.
A very good Tuesday morning to you sir
Great vlog Martyn. I was jus listening to what you said at the beginning about the ones taking bets on how long you would stay, as you said it's none of their business as long as your liking the job that's the main thing. It was good to see you in different countries although the roads look very tight in places. Looking forward to your next one. I noticed your subs are starting to go up now since you started your European adventures. Take care.
Great video as always Martyn. Been following your vlogs since the Keedwell days, thank you for taking us along on your journeys especially during pandemic. Glad that Claire agreed with your new job; hope you both stay happy and safe. Toodles from David Marriott (ex Spire Transport, Williams Bros (Wales), P&O Roadtanks and Ferrymasters). Retired now and loving it.
Nice one Martyn, lots of nice country side and towns and villages. Traffic jams on German motorways are common with some of the European truckers I follow. Part of the job home or away I suppose.I’m well into retirement, don’t miss it now,but good to see you happy and enjoying life. Regards to yourself and Claire, safe travels 👍
Thanks for taking me along on your travels ,enjoyed that

Another interesting v/log Martin. It looks like you've become a bit fruity. I hope Claire knows about this. 😅 Road surfaces are much better abroad. Belgium is quite flat. Keep on trucking Martin. TOODLES

Hardly any traffic jams in Spain Martyn, you will see for yourself when you get a load down this way to Alicante.😉Excellent Vlogs once again.
Broughtons have grown so much since I lived near their yard years ago, Captain Slow and breeze have certainly have raised their profile. Now to see if you feature in Tim’s video 😂
Hope you settle in well and enjoy the job pal.all there trucks look realy nice
Great videos martyn would be good to see more through the week but please dont burn yourself out on them. Seen your last truck solo in newport last monday nice to see but wasn't you.
Another cracking vlogg and you were able to see trucker Tim as well keep up the great work and enjoy your new job all the best 👍👍
Good luck on your new adventures😊😊
Very good video thanks Sean from Ireland 🇮🇪 👍
Nature of the beast, employment. No-one can say with surety that they will stay in one job for any specific amount of time. Circumstances change for everyone, if they say different they are either lying or not being completely honest :p
Nice one Jenko. Great video buddy. Looks like your enjoying EUROPEAN driving. Keep up the good work 👍
loving every minute of your vlogs. First class every time.
Nice one enjoyed thanks 🚜🏴👍
Loving the vlog keep up the good work and keep on trucking
Great video my friend what away to spend a Sunday morning them roads abroad are so much better when do you get home safe driving
Loving the videos Great views and new change , Also watching Gav videos now, Love watch Euro trucking, Now not seen Jay Scot Luke and Kev much on videos, All the best Dave from North Thailand,
If ever you think you’re going to Ashford, ring them & book in asap (or do it on line) & then at least if you’re not going to make it you can always cancel.
When are you putting more vlogs on Ben
Yeh will do that in future buddy, luckily got in on this occasion 👍
@@ISHYCOSTA trouble with internet last night so should go live this evening.
Another great vlog really enjoying them keep up the great work looking forward to seeing Wednesdays
Lovely video Jenko this one as taken me back in time
Good stuff.Jenko, cracking motor 👍 they do run lovely kit, glad ur enjoying it. I think in regairds to road tolls in Belgium (dont quote me) but im sure.its like Switzerland whereby you pay tax to be in the Country! Your company probably do that online, keep on keeping on matey 🚛💨
Great video always enjoyable I wouldn’t give a hoot about negative comments 😊👍👍
Cheers for putting in the Malena Stark Song buddy, hope Gav enjoying his new motor I have seen pics of it. This new adventure of yours is brilliant, some of those places you went through looks tight like Llandovery or that A39 to Minehead, just their roads look in better nick lol. The Scania seems to give more of a roar than the 450 Merc you had at Keedwells fairplay.
Spalding bringing back memories, that power stations on the old sugar beat factory site and Garns is on what was Spalding Haulage? Or is my memory clouded 😂
A very good Saturday evening both from Alan in Lowestoft buddy ❤😊
Always busy running into, and around Antwerp at that time of day…
In Europe they look after drivers service areas shower toilet fecility service areas lightyears ahead of UK
Good luck on your new adventure
I am thinking about moving jobs to go Europe working
Thoroughly enjoyed that mate look forward to more of it 🎉
Thank you.a.okx
Do what you want, i like your videos
Loving these uploads . Maybe inconvenient with the small tanks but if you like the rest of the truck Broughtons might let you keep .Could end up with an IVECO !!
Sounds very nice martyn
This seems like the company or work where the badge dedicated to your sister may get a space on the truck
Love what you do , do what you love 🎉
Enjoyed the latest trip vids as you were on rads I know quite well (Live in Belgium Ardennes near French border). Unless you really need to go to Antwerp, avoid it like the plague Unless middle of night, I would go around Brussels Ring rather than Antwerp Ring any day. As long as there no weight limits don't worry about small roads. Do watch place name spelling as only Brussels region has both spellings for places (go down the E40 towards Liege/Aachen. when you cross into Flemish territory it becomes Luik/Aken. 🤣
Enjoyable jenko 😂😂😂❤
Loving your foreign vids Martyn.Well done
on the trailer eat more (used to be chips right)
You'd be unlucky to go through a paege in belgium & germany as I'm assuming you've got a toll box for both in the cab😁 suprised you didn't mention having to change countries each time on the borders 🤔 which i didn't have to do in my day👌
All best mate…livin the dream👍👍
Another great video Martyn
Class mate mate
Keep doing what you love doing
In fairness looks good working away from uk a change is good would love to do it but got a family and kids at home
Loving the new vids out in Europe
Come on Martyn small tanks, plural. Try it pulling a silo tank with 200litres of hydraulic oil and a 1200mm compressor and air-cooler box on the side of the tractor, leaving room for 300 litres of diesel, doing all EU and a bit beyond. That was a pain, thoroughly enjoyable though otherwise.
If you leave in 3 months does it matter got to do what makes you happy
Q. why do fridge drivers eat garlic ? A. so even deaf people can hate them LOL , enjoy the adventure ,I had a great time when I was driving over there but the arse fell out of it after the wall came down , seems to be coming back a bit now
Great job love the video 's
Great vlog like always ❤
Hi mate really enjoyed vid nines content the silver daf was nice where you were loading
Was it one of yours
One of our subbies buddy
Look like you are enjoying the new job. Bit of a shame about the smaller fuel tank on the truck. Hope you ignore the keyboard warriors and if you love it on the continent then as long as Claire is ok with it then everything is fine. Best wishes to Claire and hope she is still enjoying her job. Stay safe both and take care.
Cracking vlog as always 👍👍stay safe
Belgium looks like the Fens/Lincolnshire flat and featureless.
On A16 to Spalding average speed cameras so dont speed. Fuel theft bad on A16 and A17.
