Natalie,This may be TMI for other viewers so I am giving a *warning* saying this that I am breastfeeding my beautiful blessing of a daughter who is 9 1/2 months. We are 3 months away till our 1 year goal. My husband and I tried for 3 years to have her. Such an emotional TTC journey. We were blessed to have her on my birthday. 2 weeks we celebrate our anniversary. Thank you for sharing your journey of breastfeeding with us. 😄 Hayley is just beautiful! ❤
Just a little disclaimer the silicone pump is great for removing discomfort and as you said to catch the milk from the non nursing side but it is not meant to maintain supply. It by no means replaces an electric pump while away at work or for more than a couple hrs. Also exclusively breastfeeding is still pumping😉. Nursing and breastfeeding are different. We all exclusively breastfeed but the delivery is just different lol. Glad you were able to resolve the latch troubles those are extremely painful and frustrating for everyone. Keep up the good work Natalie! Totally don't want this comment to be depicted as negative but helpful 😊
Thank you, just got an electric pump yesterday and was thinking like 'shit, I bought the wrong thing... again...' Haha, so stressful trying to figure out what's needed what's not.
My husband and I️ are TTC and I️ just pray that I️ can be the type of mommy that you are one day!! New to this channel and I️ absolutely love I️t. I️ love that you talk about your faith, openly. Just an awesome way to share your journey of parenthood!!!! Thanks for putting yourself out there!
Hi Natalie. I very much enjoy your videos. I am a mother of 3 boys, and now 5 grandchildren. One thing I always used as an essential for nursing, that I didn’t hear you talk about, is a cleaning cloth for your breast. I always used a warm wash cloth (no soap) to wipe before and after baby nursed. My doctor told me it was necessary in order to make sure that my babies stayed healthy, and so did my breast. Also, during the time when I was nursing my first baby, i developed a sore on one of my breasts, and was given rubber (it might have been silicone) breast shields. I put it over my breast to protect the sore and allow it to heal, but also allowed my baby to get the nourishment he needed. Thank you so much for taking the time to educate young moms, and encourage them along the way. God bless you and your beautiful family!
Hailey is absolutely gorgeous. She is the replica of Weston in my opinion. Please do the how to increase your milk supply video as it is something I'm currently struggling with. Also, in other videos you said you used essential oils to combat mastitis. Can you please please make an essential oils video or what you used for your mastitis? I love your devotion to the Lord and your family. You are by far the most humble, god loving down to earth person I have seen and it makes me jappy to see how much love you have for your family and your kiddos. They are definitely lucky to have you and Weston as parents.x
I couldn't take my eyes off that sleepy baby. She is so sweet and so calm. & may i just say you look amazing , your skin is glowing your hair looks so good.
Rebecca Glew I can give a little tip of my own. I'm exclusively breastfeeding my son and to increase supply is 'the more milk removed the more milk comes in' Pumping.
Look into brewers yeast. You can order it on amazon. It Tass a little funky but you c an add it to shakes and drink it every morning. It had lots of vitamins, protein, vitamin b-12 which will help with post partum blues (God forbid you have that) but it helped me with my milk. Drink lots of water eat well, don't be concerned about loosing weight and eating salads only for a while. Eat WELL. Eggs, oatmeal, vegetables, fish etc... beds of luck! Breastfeeding has been a tough journey but it gets easier :)
Thank you for these ideas! I'm 34 weeks pregnant with baby #2, and so many new things are available since I had my first 7 years ago. That silicone breast pump immediately went on my registry! Congrats on your beautiful baby girl!
Hand pumps are such a life saver! I'm putting that silicone one on my wishlist for my next baby. I used the Lansinoh hand pump and it was great but still has quite a few pieces to clean and keep track of
I’m a new subscriber and I absolutely adore your videos! Most mommy vloggers now aren’t relatable or seem fake for the views. I appreciate how peaceful/relatable your videos are! Keep it up, girl! 💕
I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and this is my third and last baby. My one and only boy. This video definitely helped me in many ways. I just got a nursing bra and of course you wanna be comfortable so I got lucky. I breast fed my first born but I gave up after a month or so. I had a pump and all. Then with my second baby I couldn’t breast feed because she had some issues so I pumped and sent the milk to the hospital the 2 months she was around. I enjoyed it a lot and was so proud of how much I was pumping.
The LC has saved me three different times! Each time I have a baby I face a unique set of circumstances and need help. As our doctor told me "there is always new person in the breastfeeding relationship." Thanks for the shoutout. That pump has saved me! I still use it to catch leaks four months later.
I'm a FTM of a 5 month old baby girl and have been following you since your boys were little. This video is so very helpful and I agree with all of what you mentioned. I want to go buy a silicone pump now lol One tip I would say that I've learned from my experience is to educate yourself a little more. I was so nervous and on the fence about breastfeeding and worried it wouldn't work that I never looked into it because I was so intimidated. Then I spent the first 6 weeks questioning everything I did and didn't do. I'm so so grateful it has been going so well for my daughter and I. We are only 3 weeks away from my original goal of 6 months!!
Just had baby a week ago, immediately ordered the silicone pump thing because of your video! Seems like it will work super well for me. Thank you so much!
so glad the silicone pumps are becoming well known!!!!!!! best thing I ever bought! highly recommend and seriously needs to be a gift for every mom who plans on breastfeeding!
The hands free pump you suggested was a lifesaver for me while I was on vacation because I didn't always have time to use my electric pump! Thanks for suggesting it
This may be a year old. But I found this VERY helpful. Husband and I tried for a baby this month so.. just incase I get my BFP I'm here refreshing myself for baby #2. There are actually a lot of things you touched down on, that I didn't have/didn't do/need to do second time around. The silicone pump, and a nursing tank-top when you need to lift your shirt without tummy exposure. Wish I had thought of that! Great tips.
I'm due in 6 weeks so this was wonderful to watch! I put that silicone breast cup in my amazon cart! I'm getting two, one for home and one for the diaper bag!
I seriously don't know how I missed the muslin swaddle for a nurse cover. Genius!! I have 5 children!! I have shared this tip with a mommy of 9 and she didn't think of it either!! FYI I use the swaddle trick for my almost 6m old( 😢) all the time. Great tip!
Yes yes yes to the lactation consultant! I just had baby #4 and he was a preemie. Nursing him is soooo much different and harder. I wish I would have taken advantage of the LC in the hospital. Now I'm waiting for her to get back from vacation for help. Pumping around the clock because your preemie can't latch is no fun!
Yes to the silicone pump! So much easier to use when there's a toddler running around & you only have to wash 1 part! I also only use muslin swaddles as a nursing cover. It's also more breathable & cooler. My newborn gets so hot when I nurse him.
Thanks for the breast pump tip I bought one yesterday and I am looking forward to using it! Please keep adding these types of tips. first time mom's like me NEED HELPFUL THINGS♡
I breastfed my youngest son, who is almost 2 1/2, until he was 14 months. He self weaned. In the beginning of those brutal weeks with the cracked nipples, nipple cream was my saving grace! He had a tongue tie and I wasn't able to get it fixed until he was about 3 weeks old. It was tough, but we made it through. Another must have was a really good nursing pillow.
Loved this video. I'm currently 23 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my 5th child. I breastfed all of my babies. Some longer than others and some not as long as I was wanting to. I totally agree that having a lactation consultant help you is key to breastfeeding success. I wish I would have with my first two kids they only nursed until they were 5 & 6 months old. My other two kids nursed until they were 14 months and that is because I was done breastfeeding. I am hoping to breastfeed this baby up until he is 14 months old. I like using pillows or a boppy pillow while nursing but don't always have to have it.
I left the hospital with lots of pain from nursinv still, and ended up having a lactation appt a couple days after, and it was the best decision for my breastfeeding journey. (We had a bad latch and i was sitting in a way that made it worse, causing terribly bleeding and cracked nippes). Check your insurance, mine covered a few lactation appts postpartum
Natalie I am loving that you are so open. My sister is expecting her third baby with a 13 year gap. I don't know that she will breastfeed as she didn't with the other two. However, you have great tips here, so will pass on this info to her. Especially with that breast pump. That is amazing! You are my favourite person to follow.
My breastfeeding essential is a warm coffee cup! No joke. I discovered with baby #2 that when it came to dealing with engorged breasts, trying to breastfeed was challenging because they were so full. By accident one day, I discovered that holding a coffee cup in my hands, and then immediately massaging my engorged breasts helped tremendously to let down the milk and soften the breast for easier feeding. I keep my coffee/hot tea on a warming plate next to my rocking chair, and I always 1) have something hot to drink and 2) have immediate relief when needed. It's multipurpose and I do not have to deal with hot wash cloths or taking a hot shower when its not convenient. I will even place the side of the cup directly on my breast and roll it downwards towards my nipple and it warms my entire breast and provides a gentle massage. (Be careful it is not too hot of course)
Man I love your videos. I just had a baby she's 11 days old and I have to admit she was a surprise and she's my first so I didn't know what yo expect and I just found your channel and it's helped sooo much thank you so much for the time and effort you take to make these videos!!
yes I would love a video how to boost our milk supply. I just had twins 6 days ago and Im breastfeeding. I also have 2 other kids that I didn't breastfeed for too long and I regret about it and I want to breastfeed my twins till they don't want anymore. thats why a video about how to rise our milk suply would help a lot.
Natalie, you are truly awesome. I'm a soon to be Mum and the silicone breast pumps look excellent, this would also solve my concern about pumping at work and being near a power supply. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Rachael Roberts I believe my supply dropped cause my baby always hungry now after feeding and mind you he has been nursing for more than a hour now a days. He is only 3 months old
Model Butterflies at 3, 6, 9 mths babies grow "suddenly" and need to drink more often. It doesn't mean you don't have enough or poor quality milk, it just means he needs to be fed up more often. And at 3 months is the longest period comparing to the 6 and 9 mths. Don't give up, you're doing great!
Model Butterflies hey mama, your baby is telling your body to up the supply! so let him suck as often as he wants. His saliva and how ever long he is on you is great for boosting supply naturally! and as Natalie said, drink tons of water! Good luck ! I also asked her for the boost in milk video!
divine34j what I've noticed is if I pumped during the day I didn't get anything really not even 1oz which led me to believe that my milk supply has dropped. I normally could get 3oz even while nursing but now hardly anything
My first two babies were preemie and I wasn't able to actually breastfeed. I pumped for them. I am praying this baby is born at 37 weeks, so I can breastfeed. :)
Hey Natalie Bennett me and my husband are expecting our first baby in just 6 days I am due the 28th of July we are having a girl who we are naming Juliette and we could not be more happy and excited to finally meet her and hold her in our arms for the very first time!!! I have been watching your pregnancy updates from the start and am subscribed to your channel and love it your twin boys are so gorgeous and look just like you!!! You are really pretty and your baby girl is so beautiful and I just love her name cause one of my sisters (I have three older sisters I am the youngest) is also named Hayley and she is one of the kindest caring loving people I know and is always looking out for me and always there for me no matter what and is the best big sister I could ask well her and my other two big sisters of course so your daughter is in great company when it comes to her name and if she turns out as great as my sister you will have no worries at all!!! Also I really want to breastfed my daughter so please do a video on how to increase your milk supply cause that will be very helpful and as a first time mum I will need all the help I can get!!!
I'm 28 weeks pregnant today en I already have a 6 year old daughter so it's bin a while that I breastfeed. So this video was really helpful and it kinda comfort me to give it another try because with my daughter I gave up after 1 month because it was so painful.
My daughter will be two months here and I exclusively breastfeed her and occasionally try to pump for when I go out. A few essentials for us is a good pump, a nursing cover (find one on Amazon, they range between 10 to 30$) they're stretchy and go right around your neck where the Muslim blankets you have to tie and the sides are open which I don't like for when I'm walking around and breastfeeding. Coconut oil for its many purposes - nipples, pumping or even butt cream (she's never had a rash!) and yes to some breastfeeding friendly clothes! (Wrap dresses, button down tops, etc) asos and topshop also have cute nursing styles for cheap.
Thanks Natalie, so helpful! As a mom-to-be, I plan on breastfeeding my baby but feel so clueless about it. This is super helpful and I'll definitely check out available classes in my area!
Oh boy I could write a book..I nursed my daughter until she was almost 4 years old......When she was born she had an IgG deficiency for Pneumonia.....I nursed every where....I used disposable breast pads because I had a lot of milk..and I couldnt find reusable ones that had plastic..I would soak through...Haley looks just like her daddy btw💕💕💕
I'm 7 weeks and this is so helpful! I would love seeing more mommy related videos, maybe post partum recovery must haves or advice? Love your videos and family! ❤
I have one of those silicone suction pump things and I love it so much! It's so handy and useful, I would recommend it to anyone pregnant or breastfeeding! Mine is from the milky mama's website and was only about $10!
I will definitely have to check out the silicone pump if I have a third baby! I'm a fellow over supply mama and that looks so wonderful. My top breastfeeding must haves are a Boppy Pillow, burp cloths (the white cloth diaper ones), Earth Mama Angel Baby nipple butter, and the Gilligan O'Malley nursing camis from Target. I also LOVE the brand Latched Mama. They have awesome breastfeeding friendly clothes that are nice for warm weather because I don't have to wear a cami under their clothes.
I'd love to see a video on increasing your supply! I had a very low supply throughout my breastfeeding journey with my (now) 2 year old. I'm due with my second in a week and a half and would love to have that knowledge under my belt!
Yes I would love to see how to make your milk supply go up. With my first baby I had a issue with not having enough milk. I'm 17 weeks and would love to learn some tips.
I have that same exact silicone pump I love it! I actually purchased a second one :) you should look into lacti cups on Amazon! I've had mine for about two weeks and instead of the milk being wasted into pads, the little cups collect it. I place them in my nursing bra during the day. It's comfortable and non visible!
I would love the boosting supply video, I'm pregnant with my second baby (boy#2) and would love to learn more ways to boost milk supply and to learn as much as I can about breast feeding since it didn't work out so well with my first son
Hi Natalie I love your videos and I am no where near being a mom but I aspire to be the type of mom you are I went 2 girls and a boy when I get older I just love your videos so much and you are my favorite RUclipsrs
Thanks for recommending the silicone pump! I've had the same issues you mentioned with my medela pump, I could never get it to work comfortably. We're expecting another little one this coming January and I'll definitely add that to my "wishlist". Do you use a nursing pillow? I really like the "my brestfriend" nursing pillow. I like that it attaches to me and offers more back support than other pillows out there. I also like having some nipple cream, especially in those early weeks, Earth Mama Angel Baby has a nice one. Have a nice weekend! 😊
Thank you thank you for this video! As a FTM due in January I'm trying to make my lists and prepare the best I can while only getting the most essential items. Do you use nipple butter and if so is there one you recommend?? Thanks for another lovely and helpful video!!
Natalie Bennett What about nipple butter or nipple creams? I'd very much enjoy a video on ways to boost and keep a steady milk supply! That would be very helpful for a lot of mother's and mother's to be! Was also wondering, if you were planning on making a video on how to make your own nipple butter and other creams, ointments, deodorants, etc.! I had thought, you said, in a previous vlog, that you'd film a video on DIY nipple creams, etc., but not sure if you remembered! Cannot wait to see and hear about baby girls 3 month update, all the new things she's doing, her height and weight, etc.!
I would love to see a video about boosting milk supply! I had my sweet baby boy in May and have been exclusively breastfeeding and just recently started pumping and notice a drop in supply so please! I'd totally watch!
I have an evenflo breast manual pump. i will be due in oct, and it was a gift i received. i do like it. also, im going on a breast feeding class next month and im so exited.
Omg she is such a doll... muy linda la bebé!!! Hi im a mom of twins as well one of each... and im expecting babh n#3. Im very nervous when it comes to breastfeeding, bc last time i wasnt so successful, and lactation team wasn't that helpful, it made me feel the worst mom ever, bc i couldnt brstfeed my twins... now im feeling excited bc it feels like God is giving me a second chance to experience that and to make it right. So i was wondering any tips for brstfeeding anxiety? Or any tips at all for that matter. Thanks and may the Lord keep blessing you and your fam.
I'm just curious what style of feeding schedule you use with your kiddos and how you incorporated pumping into it? I plan on following the Babywise program of Parent Directed Feeding with my little one, and I'm just trying to figure out when is best time to pump?
I'm 20 and I know I will not have babies soon and I should study right now 'cause I have an exam in 3 days so I don't know what I'm doing lol. I guess I'm learning in advance. Your baby is so cute and also the twins. Maybe in 10 years when I'm going to be a mum I'll rewatch this video ahaha
Hi natalie i am a new mom and i really find ur videos helpfull...can u plz make a video on how you avoid nipple confusion as u are a nursing as well as a pumping mother or at least do reply on how you manage it
Natalie Bennett pin this comment of you love your fans 😜😜
Wow didn't expect that one 😂😂
Alright are you ready to share with them all about the milk and the boobies and the milk and the stuff?? 🤣🤣🤣

Rebecca Glew I can give a little tip of my own.
I'm exclusively breastfeeding my son and to increase supply is 'the more milk removed the more milk comes in'
Pumping.
I second that! I am breast feeding twin girls atm and would love to know how you managed with your boys. TIA!

Courtney Volpe im sorry it was a typo and I meant to say pain from nursing

I am almost positive I heard a little baby toot at 2:50 😂
lol, me too!! hahaah
Jessica Collins OMG I HEARD IT😂😂😂
DEFINENTLY lol
I see it all in her face 😂😂😂😂😂
Boppy pillow! :) (esp for c-section moms out there)
Thanks Natalie, so helpful!
This was so helpful. I am pregnant with my 3rd. So thank you
I will definitely have to check out the silicone pump if I have a third baby!
2 weeks away from having my first baby in my arms! Thank you for your informative videos!❤️
Thank you for the great video, Natalie! I am due with my first baby in September and really appreciate these tips on breastfeeding!!!
Just added the silicone pump to my Amazon cart!
I'd love to see a video on increasing your supply! I had a very low supply throughout my breastfeeding journey with my (now) 2 year old. I'm due with my second in a week and a half and would love to have that knowledge under my belt!
Healthy nursing tea is the perfect blend and a must have to for increasing and maintaining a good milk supply.
Love this video! I like to keep it simple & minimal and can see the value in all these items. Perfect for my registry. Thank you.
I think a chair with good arm support is very helpful for first time moms.
My must have is coconut oils for dry, sore or cracked nipples! The coconut oil is naturally safe for your baby and helps prevent thrush as well! :)
Wonderwoman I think I have thrush and I'll try the coconut oil.
EndlessSky yes...just eat it right off the spoon!! Its yummy! Hope it helps & gets better.
My number one would be a pillow. I alway had a U shaped pillow when nursing and it was so comfortable. Oh and snack I was alway hungry while feeding.
Natalie, my son really knows your voice and he smiles every time I play one of your videos he is also nearly 3 months so yeah they are twins LOL
I am a new mom and I just started breastfeeding. Oh and I just subscribed. Thank you Natalie. 💖🍼
Hi Natalie I love your videos and I am no where near being a mom but I aspire to be the type of mom you are I went 2 girls and a boy when I get older I just love your videos so much and you are my favorite RUclipsrs
Best intro every with Hailey!
Thank you for telling us about that pump!!! Ordering it right now!!!!
This was so helpful. And baby is so calm!
I would love to see a milk supply video! I haven't started breastfeeding yet, but it will come in handy if I end up having a low supply.
Very good video, loved! I just subscribed to you channel!
Thank you thank you for this video! As a FTM due in January I'm trying to make my lists and prepare the best I can while only getting the most essential items. Do you use nipple butter and if so is there one you recommend?? Thanks for another lovely and helpful video!!
Hahaha my girls were walking by and heard your intro and just cracked up. Boobies is so funny to a 6 and 3 year old😂
I'm not a mom or expecting but I' hoping to try next year so eventually I'll need to know these things! lol I love your pregnancy/baby videos!
AlisonKay me too !!
Thanks for the tips and especially the manual pump I’m putting it on my baby registry now!!!!! Also Muslin swaddles for nursing covers great idea!!!!!
Thank you for this video! Had to order this silicone pump imediately. Thank goodness, they ship to Switzerland.
God has blessed you!!! I can relate to your breastfeeding essentials . Gave me good ideas also!!! Love you guys!!!
SO helpful! Thanks for sharing these tips! 💕
I don't even have children but I think a how to increase milk supply video would be very interesting!
I would love to see a Milk boosting video! Thank you for this video as well. It was very helpful! 🖤
Thank you for sharing the silicone pump! I watch Lydia's channel, but I must have missed the video where she mentioned it. I can't wait to try it! :)
I love this makeup look and your sweet angel is so precious ❤❤
My bubba's 28 months and she loves to be nursed and held every night it's a very precious moment 💕they are not babies forever
Beautiful family! Off topic but what is your wall color? It’s such a nice white :)
You are glowing girl😍✨✨
Your tips are great and very helpful. I wish I saw this week's ago. Please do make a video on increasing milk supply
Thanks so much for this video! Super helpful and encouraging! :)
Hailey Wren is so adorable! ❤️😍
What about nipple balm or a nursing pillow?
Never really used them!
I'd love to see a video on how to boost your milk supply! I'm a third time mum to my 1 month old baby girl (after two boys) x
The beginning was hilarious
Yes, a boosting supply video. I had issues with my first and had to supplement, so hoping to avoid that this time around.
