  • To feature a little taste of Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, here is their arrangement of Let it Snow from the 2015 record “A Big Phat Christmas - Wrap This!” I remember playing fourth trumpet on this chart back in high school, and thought it would be fun to revisit it and try out the lead part for Day 3! Please Enjoy!

I’m confused why you’d want to play these short lead trpt part? Do you think you play them better than the guys who actually recorded them? As I previously said no one seems to record the 2nd trpt part or 2nd alto sax part.

      Really? You’re easily entertained.
I asked a question.. is he playing it better than the people he’s copying? Again…. Also would you be equally entertained if he played the 2nd trpt part?

@@jonburton1935bro what are you doing here, if you knew anything about music or trumpet playing you would know why he posted the lead part instead of playing second

I know exactly why he posted it. There’s a word for it. My question is…. Is it played better than the lead trpt on the recording? Furthermore it’s far less impressive playing 2nd trpt…..when if you knew anything about trpt you’d know it’s equally as important as the first part.

@@jonburton1935 Why are you, at 85 years old, being insufferable in a RUclips comment section? Call your family members or something these lead videos aren't hurting anyone nor is he claiming to be better than anyone at all! He's just uploading a video series of going through fun/tough lead parts for Christmas, the trumpet 2nd parts aren't relevant at all.
