I just took the level 2 exam today. While I do agree with you to an extent, I also think that having more questions tests more of the concepts that you’ve learned while studying for the exam. There’s a chance that you’re strong at certain sub-topics (say VaR) but when you have more questions testing you on Active Portfolio Management as well, that’s when you really know if you’ve understood the whole topic well.

I feel like for quant, most of the content is in the formulas, so just walking around for an hour in the morning memorizing the formulas 😅 But there was also a lot of terminology to study for the Machine Learning part + Testing for Model Errors (autocorrelation, White SE, etc) - so it really is both. The section is so big! Good luck!!!
Hey Brawny! I actually didn't do the CFAQ Bank, Mocks or EOC - I had the Schweser materials. I used the Qbank a lot for L1: something like 40% completion. For FRA L2 (my only real comparison point), the CFA Q Bank questions were way tougher than the exam, because they often had very long stories/examples. I think part of that is because they write a lot of questions pertaining to one story for the question bank online. The Kaplan format was closer to the exam. Hope this helps!
@@imamillennial understood. I was supposed to appear on May window but covid situation postponed to November. Yes CFA practice questions even mocks are tougher, ( when at level 1 I found the exam way lot easier, maybe I was prepared too well but it definitely wasn't as difficult as mocks). Btw Id highly recommend running through EOC questions and blue box examples atleast once, some people swear by it. Anyway, congrats for clearing the exam. All the best for your future.

There is this concept of "Fair Use" which is how RUclipsrs are allowed to use logos in their thumbnails and videos for videos that are commentaries/critiques. When I took my Level 2 under Covid conditions, you just get into a long line of people in their 20s/30s, get your pat down, and sit down in front of your computer to take the test. In Level 1, I was in a ballroom of a big hotel, but you are just in a crowd of 300 people straight out of college. The banks are really specific as to how they recruit (Allocations per college), so I highly doubt that the recruiters are there. & Everyone is just staring at their formula sheets & not looking up anyway. But maybe you can connect with a FUTURE CFO, you never know! That's just my experience! Maybe a lucky candidate was able to find a job as well!
