Hi Atharva! Nice! You seem very prepared. In my experience, my results on the mocks were very variable. Depending on the section (and because there were only 6-12 questions per subject in every half exam), I could get anywhere from 40-80% in any given topic, which was terrifying. However, whichever section I was lagging in, I would "drill down" either by reviewing that chapter or doing chapter-specific problems from the Kaplan wordbank. The thing I'd note here is that I would not "cheat" on any practice problems - I used the knowledge straight out of my head, and I never took "open book" tests - that is, next to my notes or formula sheets. I wanted to know exactly how I would do - if I would take the test in real life - so I could get a gauge on where my progress was. I started doing my mocks before I had done most of my formula memorizing - so there were sections that I flat out circled and gave myself a zero for. I was pretty brutal on myself! In the last month of my exam, I was brushing up on Financial Reporting and I tried doing some of the CFA Institute TestBank questions - it felt like those were 40x harder. The Kaplan ones are more streamlined/simplified. I ended up completing something like 90% of the Kaplan wordbank. For mocks, I had the two books from Kaplan, so I did 4 mocks, but when I was reviewing, I had the books from the Kaplan Workshop, and I spent time making sure I was reviewing those so I knew every "kind" of problem I could experience. Hi Marta. It’s really nice that you are advising on how to approach this and it really is helpful. I gave my L2 in feb 2022. It was okay. Am session was absolutely fantastic but PM session went a bit uncomfortable but overall it was okay and good. Just waiting for the results now🙂

Hi Noor! That's awesome to hear. You may have already taken the test by now!! In the last couple of days, the most you can do is keep the formulas fresh in your head, and make sure you are well-rested and confident. If you don't remember the answer, in many cases you can figure it out. Deduction, crossing off nonsense answers, etc. I hope it goes well!
You're awesome, your content was to the point and very resourceful , but i am still confused about taking cfa because of the huge investment of exam fees , study material and having an engineering background , i would like to know your opinion about it . Wishing you all the best ❤️❤️
Hi R C! Thank you so much for your comment! If you are an engineer looking to pivot into finance, you will find the CFA useful, however it will take a long time to get it. I would say to look at the jobs you want to have. Do the job descriptions state that a CFA is useful or necessary? Alternatively, is your resume strong enough to get there on its own? (Also might you change your mind about your career?) - I do have a video out on "Reasons to consider before starting the CFA" - check it out!

Hey Anamika! I very much feel your pain. FRA was completely new for me. I remember when I was prepping for Level 1, I took a week off of work, and most of that week was dedicated to FRA alone. I spent hours just reading the chapters in Kaplan, doing every single review question, and then drilling in the CFA institute question bank - doing sets of 20 or 30 questions. Making a list of what I did wrong and making sure I dont make the same mistake twice...

Hey Sa Y! Nice, since you have time, i would plan to review each section (equity, fra, derivatives) - 1 section each week or every two weeks, then start practice problems January - February. It's important not to forget all that you've learned, so make sure you *really know* it by reviewing the concepts & taking end of chapter questions!
Hi Muhammad! I would drill into the section, so either use the CFA Qbank, Kaplan QBank, or End of the Chapter Questions and do sets of 10-20 questions on the same topic. Once you do 3-4 sets, you will start seeing the pattern of questions that are asked and should be able to avoid making the same mistakes. Sometimes this is more effective than just rereading the section - let me know if this helps!
A couple months out from the exam, I liked to do once a week, 3 hour study sessions, then as you get closer, add an hour on the weekdays, in addition to the weekend sessions. Like if the difference is 2, and I know that Its because they added back, say depreciation. Do I agree with my original answer or maybe did I forget to add back depreciation 😅😅 this can help bolster your confidence in your answer, or it's a good second check in case you weren't absolutely sure!
Hye Marta, I wanted to know that do we need to fill passport number and expiration date for Level 2 exam or is that required for Level 1 only? I recently completed registration and scheduling of level 2 exam but I don't remember filling passport details.
