    Your Shenandoah is stunning! I make mistakes or purposeful changes in my stitching all the time. 😉. Awesome fabric and charts you’ve acquired for your stash.

    I enjoy your channel! You do a great job showing charts, fabric, and projects. You hold it up long enough I can really look at what you are showing and decide if I might want the chart. Second, I like the fact that your episodes don’t tend to be very long. I watch many channels and like seeing a variety instead of spending over an hour with one stitcher. Finally, I am an avid reader and love the short book talks. I hope you keep going with your channel! I’ll be watching.

      Thanks for the feedback, Pat. I appreciate it! I struggle to make long videos so it's good hear some people prefer short ones. I've worried that I hold up the charts for too long, but I do it so that some members of my family can see all the details. 🧐 Thanks for watching!

    Counting is hard and sometimes we have a run of bad luck. Stitch a couple of smalls that are easy stitching to get back on track. Hobby House is on my bucket list! I think it is great you spent time with the students to educate them on Veteran’s Day and why it is a holiday. Librarians are under appreciated for all they contribute to a child’s education.

    I can't tell you the number of mistakes in my stitching. I say these are learning experiences and just go with it. Your stitching really is gorgeous. I really like the cloth you dyed for Autumn Alphabet. Would you be able to tell me where you purchased the pink clip hoops on this project? As a veteran, I thank you for the Twenty-One Steps book recommendation and having veterans speak to your students. It's so important students learn these lessons. Blessings to you, my dear and continue doing what you do to educate future generations.

    Hi Laurel! Cat Magic is pretty! Shenandoah is beautiful! The frame is perfect. I haven't gotten my "Autumn Alphabet" out in a while. And I don't know yet what color I'll be using for the pumpkin. You are pretty far on Autumn Quaker and it's gorgeous! Fabric from your New York trip is beautiful! Great haul! It's wonderful that you and the school where you teach had Veteran's Day celebration. Lessons on war memorials and explaining to students is wonderful. Thank you and wishing you a good week!

    Such an awesome video! I love Shenandoah; it’s stunning! I totally understand about mistakes and putting WIP’s in time outs! It can get so frustrating to put in so much time and then have to frog or start over! I love the colors on the Shepherdess! I hope you don’t have to start over! Maybe try the Sulky white! I hear it is a good substitute for white in general! Your haul from Hobby house is fantastic! All that beautiful fabric! Wow! I was watching Brenda and Laura and they just raved about that store! I so want to visit; maybe some day! Thanks for the book talk as well! I always value your opinion and recommendations on children or young adult books! Hang in there and try not to get too frustrated with our wonderful craft! Just move on to the next WIP or start something new! Happy Stitching!

    Wonderful video! I, too, have changed stitching directions by rotating a hoop. It is understandable, but , yes, I tore out those stitches I worked that way. About the pattern conversion from red to gree: if you haven't yet started over, you might consider a white lookin green. Maybe 3756, 524, 10. A very light yellow or tan, or gold or brown may also work. If you have to start over, you have to, but try different almost whites first?

    It was so fun to stitch with you today and get an update! Your framed Shenandoah piece turned out beautifully! What a treasure! I’ve done the very same thing where I turn my Stitch-O-Graphy to the side to make an word upright and then all my stitches were going the wrong direction. I think you have a perfect plan to stitch something small, easy, and quick to make things fun again. I really enjoy hearing your book recommendations!

    I remember learning that lesson...no stitching sideways😐 I've also learned to take froggable mistakes in stride, it's gonna happen, so I just consider it part of the process. I'd be right there with you, snatching up Primitive Hare fabrics! Yes they always smell delicious! You've convinced me, I'll have to make a pilgrimage up there to NY sometime soon. I'm in Lancaster PA, so not quite as far for me. Always great to see your FT's.

    Also. A little bit of backstitching the borders of the sleeves on the red to green conversion. As long as the eye gets the border it needs between the stitching and background fabric. Hopefully you won't have to tear out your beautiful stitching.

    I often have times when I need to frog, but if I stitch daily, it seems to happen less.
    I did a piece in memory of my husband, and I decided to add the charaters name and a quote. I graphed out but turned the piece sideways to stitch. Then realized what I'd done! I have yet to rip it out...

    What interesting designs you are working on! Your work doesn't have to be perfect, and mistakes can be re-interpreted to be your own interpretation! The main thing is to have stitches crossing the same way, as you have found out. There is a method of stitching sideways - look at Jean Farish's RUclips tutorials. Also you might find it helpful to use tacking stitches to place motifs etc correctly. Mainly be kind to yourself 🤗

    I think you are too critical of your stitching. Think of the pattern as a guide, not cast in stone. No one will ever see the pattern to compare it to your finished piece so they won’t see any differences. Relax, take a breath, and keep going forward instead of backwards.

  • @CaraDayhoff
    @CaraDayhoff Год назад

    Don't start it over just use a different color than white. There are many different color sheep. I think your being to hard on yourself. You need to give yourself grace.
