Technically, Vietnam is a Communist country, but ask the people and nobody will tell you they like Vietnamese Communism! In reality, it's similar to Chinese Communism, where bribes are required for everything which ends up being more a like a MAFIA, than a Communist Government!

" Safety first"

Nice country to visit, but maybe not to live in! A few years ago when I visited Vietnam I attempted to use my Vietnamese which I learned over 50 years ago at DLI and then used for 2 years during the Vietnam War. Seems that the younger Vietnamese told me "We know how to speak Vietnamese, but we want to practice our English with a native English speaker!" In High School in Vietnam the primary foreign language taught is English, but older Vietnamese will tell you that they used to have to study Russian as their foreign language!

Wow, brings back memories. Used to set up styrofoam and polyfoam extrusion plants. did that for 13 years until it became an issue with my health. ABS resin and dust are cancer-causing and I was having issues with the chemicals impacting my lungs. Fascinating that there are no masks being worn or ventilation systems for the vacuum former. Burning ABS is akin to agent orange. And extrusion tech in Canada would make a minimum of $20/hr, these assembly jobs are considered skilled trades.
