mesmerising to watch. i find it interesting how for the most part there's all these elaborate machines doing many complex tasks, but then every now and again the production line turns into just a guy picking things up and putting them somewhere else, then back to machines
It seems just some guy pick up and drop somewhere else, but actually is a pretty complex job for machine, this require a robust pick up gear that don't drop a dozen thing, a visual inspecting computer that checks defect, a inter transport line for all the machinery etc. but one guy can do this all and it's actually faster compare too all these in this case.
That's how humans save face with machines! 😎 So that when visitors come, they see that humans are still very important, not just robots doing everything! When I need it, I just need to... pick it up, put it down - simple but powerful! 😄
As a doctoral student working on Li-ion batteries at the materials level, seeing it taken to the practical device level is very inspiring and fascinating to see. Everything runs like clockwork, almost no room for human error where safety is a non-negotiable for the end user
Mad Scientist level automation! When you see a product, you seldom think about the many processes it undergoes or how many people it takes to make the final product. Thanks for the video-very informative. Watching from North Carolina, USA.
What boggles my mind is that this is only the process and infrastructure for (mostly) one type of fairly mundane, everyday electronics. There are literally millions of different, individual manufacturing plants on this planet, and they just keep on cranking out stuff, with efficiencies only ever increasing and making higher-end stuff cheaper and cheaper by the month. This is absolutely nuts to me, regardless of how obvious this might have been to me for the better part of my life.
Great video. I was surprised there is so much manual process involved. Chinese are very hard working. Thank you to the workers who make our modern lifestyle possible.
I almost missed this video, clicked on it just in case. The title promised a boring video about making power banks, but in fact it turned out to be a very interesting video about making lithium-ion batteries.
@Sai.Praneet LiPo is just an umbrella term for all Lithium ion batteries that use a solid polymer electrolyte instead of a liquid one. The cathode material varies and it's mostly NMC for high energy density
🤣🤣🤣🤣 It ALWAYS makes my day going online and reading comments from people who have absolutely NO idea what they're talking about!! Dunning Kruger, much?! 😂😂😂😂 Thank you!
Interesting part is majority of their machine labels and even operating guidelines are also translated in English. I wonder why, is there a regulation/certificate on this?
I searched for model number in label part of this video "QS58" , i got Silicon Power QS58 but seems different, maybe for inside china product have usb cable but in outside only 3 usb ports !
Did i missed something, or did i look right, that these Batteries are just made of Coils of thin Foil with a Microfilm on it??? I Expected some kind of Liquid or Filling.
Wait so they printed label on battery pack by laser. I never think of that because laser will heat the lithium make thing explode. We even avoid vacuum gripper when handle battery pack because of so.
You get what you pay for. The company in video manufacture battery components for various applications including high end ones, and is a supplier to Apple. Not saying some of them won't end up in an inapporopriate configuration on Temu with fake labelling and misleading pricing, but those trashy powerbanks you get for less than $10 aren't their problem.
So many steps in the process and all the machinery designed and built to produce the power bank is just insane !

Crazy contrast between extreme automation and repetitive manual labor. Very interesting to see.
They definitely got it right though. Automated everything they could and labor for the steps that are tricky to automate.
Please, no need to add the music background. The sound of the machinery itself is already great.

Agreed, but its very minimal so i cant say it bothers me.
I got to the 11:00 min mark, stopped watching al together. The same 5 notes over and over again, its driving me nuts
Agree too. Music ruins the calming effect of the machine sounds. This is not TT, where people go insane, if there is no music for 0.00023 nanoseconds.
Absolutely right 👍
This is very very cool. Watching these machines making batteries is awesome.
Damn. this is definitely not a alley way shop here. this is full production facility.

Fantastic video, so clean. I made photographic film at 3M in the 1990s, similar coating equipment.
THE IN-DEPTH NARRATIVE DESCRIBING IN VIVID DETAIL EVERY STEP OF THE PROCESS, MAKES THIS VIDEO COMPLETE?
i was wondering if the old film engineering would be useful again now with lithium film
Very cool and interesting to watch. Gives me a direct sense of how much effort goes into manufacturing everyday things

Battery capacity rating 5000mAh 20:10 each, total 10000mAh, label 20000mAh 25:28. Are they same powerbank or different ones?
You can just combine the initial modules in parallel to get these different products. You can see them soldering the modules together at 21:00.
But on the test screen it's about 8 volts, so batteries is in serial connect. Chinese mAh is so chinese.
@@gbitencourt parallel combination 5000*2=10000
