Alcohol is definitely the gateway drug because when drunk you are down for almost whatever. If I smoke a joint and someone offers me coke, heroin, mdma, pills, its very unlikely i will partake on these types of drugs. When drunk though you never know what you'll do, that's how people get hooked. They start drinking heavily, going out to clubs every weekend. One weekend you do coke when drunk out at a party, soon as you know it your doing coke everytime you go out drinking. Then you start doing coke in the morning after a big night out and then it's just a downward spiral
Elle Luna that's lame if anything can be a gateway drug then why not acid and shrooms that's bullshit I think your answer is ignorant nieave and innocent.
When I had my shoulder surgery I was on 10mg Percocet every 4 hours for like a month! After that I was still in pain but not in unbearable pain so I was like fuck it..... I don’t need those pills but something in the back of my mind was like “get more, take more!” And I’m like wtf is going on here?!?!? So I just ignored it. Then I started sweating. I just had the cold sweats........ I thank GOD that was the only withdrawal I had. I studied the withdrawal and I realized how blessed iam that I wasn’t addicted and fall in the pits of hell.
It’s crazy hearing this guys story and the fact that weed is still not used for pain treatment, this guy almost destroyed his life with pills and he really wasn’t even intending on taking them like a typical addict
Everything he is saying about HELL of suboxone withdrawal and also the increased sense after getting clean is 100% true. CBD oil has also helped me. This is all true and very important information.
I have spinal/nerve damage from a combat injury and after 8 spinal surgeries with no relief the past years of my life have been requiring pain meds like fentanyl and icy to function just even get out of bed. And I can say I absolutely hate life and needing them. I’ve tried CBD with no help and my state keeps rejecting MMJ. Why people would take these meds for fun is beyond me because I’m 35 and medically retired but, every few months I stop my meds cold turkey and push through withdrawal to make sure I deal with the symptoms and be sure that I never become a statistic.
You're a straight fkn beast to stop all meds just to make sure you stay stronger than the withdrawals. I applaud you and I'm sure you went hard in the military aswell. Sorry for the pain you have to endure. Hopefully marijuana will help ger you off them.
Guys I lost both my legs as a baby in a car train accident. I'm 45 years old now and I'm in horrible pain. the only thing that works that will stop my nerve pain in my arthritis and degenerative disease is cannabis. I've been on oxycontin I've been on methadone. when it got closer to before I stop taking pain pills I was taking methadone and hydromorphone as a breakthrough and I was still in horrible pain. My doctor was like hey let's try this cannabis it can't hurt anything to try . When I have cannabis and it has to be pretty potent 25% and stronger my pain goes away. It does what methadone and all the other horrible pills couldn't do. What bas is talking about is the truth. Like him I've been able to come off all pills. And I use cannabis for my pain. It's miraculous what it does. And I feel so much better now that I'm off those poisonous pills. Joe I'd love to talk to you any time about my life losing my limbs in my martial arts. Especially what channel does has done in my life to make it as normal as can be. It takes me from 10 out of 10 pain to a tolerable 3 or 4....
I'm really happy that you found your pain relief! I suffer from intractable pain. That's kinda what you have -- pain that will never go away, and if it's treated you can't function, you can't barely get out of bed -- and methadone works great for me, much better than cannabis. Our pain are different though, the causes and all that. Methadone is like a miracle drug for me: it works, I require a much lower dose than what these other people are taking about, it won't look your kidneys by taking it over time like Oxycodone and its various off-shoots, and best of all, it's chemically designed to block any euphoric effects, so addiction is one less thing to worry about. Oh, and it's cheap. Meanwhile, thanks to the forced tapering by the CDC and enforced by the thugs at the DEA, I have to plan my day around the hours of *intense* pain, and somehow deal with the on-and-off 3-6 level pain throughout the day. Before, I took a methadone 3 times a day and then most pain I felt was a 2, and that would only happen if I had forgotten to take a pill and the pain was just a reminder. This forced tapering nonsense is criminal.
I was in college a decade ago and opioids were being snorted and tossed back like nothing. Shit always scared me and it's a miracle those guys are still here. Some got pretty deep into it, oxy's, xan's, perks, whatever was found..amazing how readily available that poison was. I remember sitting around watchin the ncaa tourney on a friday night, I hit the blunt a few times and we were all just sitting around chillin, I saw somebody nod off for the first time and once I connected the dots, I was out. Too fucking weird for me. Hope they're all well and clean off that bullshit.
@@Plebzzz well by 2018 it had become extremely difficult to get real opioids and benzos, so you probably saw people with dirty pills. I wish they were still “readily available” but a lot of people can’t control themselves
CBD is great for pain and anxiety. the FDA has approved CBD recently for epilepsy, so CBD is definitely starting to gain traction. the problem is it's not fully approved yet by the FDA to use CBD for general use and that's where the problem lies. In the u.s, 47 states allow the use of CBD, but there is no regulation on CBD and where there is no regulation there is corruption. you'll see a lot of products out on the market that proclaim they're CBD, but a lot of those so called CBD products have either very small amounts of CBD in them or no CBD in them at all and people are paying a premium for these products, just to get ripped off. So you have to really do your homework before buying a CBD product right now, so that you don't get ripped off. This is why the FDA needs to quit dragging their feet on CBD and approve it for general use once and for all, so that standards will be set in place for anyone who sells a CBD product.
78 MG of Liquid Methadone for 5 years I’ve been a patient and it’s really allowed me to structure my life again. Addiction is Complex Clean and Sober: there’s a difference. Structure and Support-Necessary Marijuana/GOD’S GIFT
For legit junkies methadone and subutex works. The reason people keep taking it isnt for weaning off of it but its because it stops cravings. For most junkies, they relapse shortly after kicking because they havent built a support structure. Being on the subutex or methadone for an extended time allows the person to make sober connections, maybe get a job and a girlfriend, etc, so when it comes time to kick you arent right back at the dealer
yeah but for how long do you need to take that then? just forever? your addicted to regular pills now your addicted to the "treatment" pill? I know it helps i do understand and talked to people but like fuck they need to get a handle on these pills, like bas was saying oh the norcos arent helping him anymore..so the doctor prescribes him something stronger...WOW that was smart..
@@videogamepolak0 some forever, some a week or so, some years. Yes it is pretty much a substitute in that your brain doesnt feel sick, and cravings are lessened. You dont get high from it like you do heroin, and if you take too much methadone you just sleep theres no euphoria. Its purpose is to get people away from criminal behavior to afford keeping well on heroin.
Suboxone is better for people addicted to opiates because it blocks all other opiates from entering the system. This means that once someone is taking Suboxone they can't take other opiates because they will not work. You literally would have to be in full withdrawal off the Suboxone to abuse other opiates or its a waste of drugs. If you are on methadone you can NOT take suboxone unless you have withdrawal for a couple of days and sometimes up to a week or you will end up in Acute Withdrawal and that is a horrible thing to go through worst then just regular withdrawal. I myself refuse to take it due to my spine issues and pain at least with methadone if you get hit by a car or end up in the hospital due to a injury or pain you can get opiates and they will work unlike with suboxone you will have to take fentanly and that still probably wont even touch the pain. Suboxone is also being abused by kids and people in jail 1 8mg strip can get a kid high like 10 times its that powerful! In Jail people have been literally taking the strips and adding water to if and using it like water colors on letters and they just cut the letter up and take it or sell it. 1 8mg strip is 50-100 usd in jail ! Methadone in jail is all spit back to so if you do that you will get a disease like that its disgusting.
@Kyden C You have no idea how these drugs work! Just by seeing you use the word Junkie shows you do not have the mind set to grasp these things. ?Most "JUNKIES" now adays became that way due to a medical issue causing pain! The dea stops doctors treating paitents and limiting medications of people already at these dosages which caused these people many older people to go through there pain because they are limited. Due to that you see many people going to methadone clinics just because they are in pain. Methadone and Suboxone will not get you high if you use them properly and are given the proper dosage. Past a certain dosage on methadone also acts as a blocker like suboxone but it works completly differently . On suboxone you cant take any other opiates they will NOT work! But if you are on them and you end up in the hospital forget thinking your pain is going to get dealt with ! Since the Suboxone blocks every other opiates the will end up using fentaly and it will proably not work at all.! Suboxone is also looked at as the cheaper alternative to Viviral which is a 30 day opiate and alcohol blocker! But it costs about 2500 per month for 1 shot! Most addicts are in poverty so not everyone can go to rehab!
Mike Petruccelli did you come down properly? Like 10mg a month? And how long were you on it? I started at 120mg I’m down to 70 and feel not that bad I’ll be at 60 next week
Organized Chaos yes I went down I believe 1 mg a day... It’s been 10 years but I was at 150 when I started... when I got down lower I slowed down going down so fast .... but I walked out n never came back after being on 1 milligram for like a month...
I've been on methadone since September 11th 2001. Now 41 and I want to get off methadone so bad but man this gonna be hard. think I'm just going to take two years to slowly detox off this stuff and do it really slowly and then no matter what I want to be sick as hell when I get down to 15 or so milligrams. I actually got addicted to Xanax also and kicked a 6 million mg bar have it cold turkey and I've actually kick methadone before and the Xanax was even worse. I had all the symptoms of methadone but I had the mental insanity and the most vivid in real hallucinations you could possibly see. I imagined an Amtrak train coming through my living room and I could actually see people sitting in the Amtrak train looking at me and I can even remember the clothes they had on in their facial features and can even remember the train number.. and also I had horrible seizures on top of it.. I honestly would not wish that on my worst enemy

Edibles are just pure awesomeness!! I once had a friend from California send me a chocolate star thru the mail. I didn't know how much was in it and like the savage i am i ate the whole thing. Turns out it was like 500mg. Let me tell u had a true life altering experience. I was literally fucked for a complete 30 hrs. I solved all the worlds problems that night and went on a trip that changed my life.
I can eat 500 mg dank gummie rings for breakfast .must be because I was on meth and opiates for so long that now that I quit them thc just really don’t affect me much
Bas rutten is 100% right suboxen is only good if you don’t have opioid for a day and your dope sick that’s it I would take 3 sub and still be sick my habit was so bad and people don’t realize suboxen is more for oxi than heroin if you have a heroin habit sub will barely help especially shooting heroin and shooting a gr a shot. Going through a finger every 2-3 days it was brutal worst time of my life
I wish smoking weed wouldn't give me anxiety. I love smoking and have for 11 years daily. But I get bad anxiety from it. Does anyone think CBD would help with the anxiety? I've been looking into vaping it but I thought it was just a gimmick.
Alcohol is the cousin of every hard drug, when was the last time u saw a heroin or crack addict or coke addict who didn't drink liquor with their drug...?
I been on suboxone for 5 years 2 a day 8mgs.. well now ik I prolly have NO testosterone left and why I'm drained mentally and physically and no sex drive
100% true. Been on suboxine for 10 years. Partially kicked a few times. The withdrawal was 2 to 3 months of hell. Absolute hell. 2 weeks should be the max for that drug, with a half life of 70 hours no-one should be on it for years
It is also people that have mental illness and cant find relief. They get hurt while battle depression a doc gives them H pills and boom! depression is gone. Then the H makes the pain 1000 times worse. Depression goes up. We need better mental illness treatment too.

Interesting. I've been on sub long term for heroin and it's so easy to do a long term taper and the withdraws are infinitely easier. Mileage may vary for everyone though.
Agreed. I kicked subs cold turkey after 4 years and the withdrawals were super mild. Just sweating and feeling just slightly shitty. Absolutely no comparison to heroin or methadone withdrawal, for me anyways.
I've also been on subs long term, and am currently weaning down slowly, I'm at like 1.5-2Mgs from 8mg and am trying to work down to literally as small a dose as I can, target being under 1/2Mg. I've heard a lot of people say when its weaned slowly and properly like that and stopping at an extremely low dose, that it's almost not even noticeable at best and mildly annoying for a few short days at worse.
Well.... Marijuana is a drug. There is not difference between a drug and a medicine. They are the same thing. It's just the term "Drug" has had a bad reputation. But there are good drugs and bad drugs. Marijuana is a good drug.
garyfrombuffalo you can develop it but it takes forever and the pain has to be bad enough to pretty much make you pass out and it goes back to normal quickly
I think it just comes from the mind. Just mental strength and toughness. Which comes with experience. When you think of all human beings I would doubt there’s some science to one feeling pain more than another. In cases of ppl with no issues and functionality with every body part. Thickness and bone density show someone can get more injured through the same contact someone else feels, one might break a leg another may not but the ability to deal with pain I think is just mental toughness which I don’t think relates to anything genetically all in my opinion
garyfrombuffalo when I started football when I was 7 I was a pussy and was afraid to get hurt. I would get hurt more often. When I started to grow I became used to the pain and I also built a tolerance. So yeah I think some of it is genetic, but not completely.
it's definitely genetic. many people are born simply being more tolerant to opiates without even being introduced to them yet. i had a gene test done and found this out myself.
Subs are not as bad as methadone. I was on subs for 3 years and then I've been on methadone for 9. I'll be off methadone by March hopefully. Worst decision I've ever made. I was also on klonopin combined with it for 7 years. I literally feel like I've been asleep for 9 years and am just now waking up. Methadone is not the answer. It's the answer if you've lost all hope and relapse every time you try i guess.
You might try going into ketosis. This means you will no longer consume any sugar or carbohydrates including bread pasta cereal biscuits etc. when you do this you will burn through all of the sugar (glucose) stored in your body’s organs and muscles. Your body will begin to burn stored fat in the form of ketones. The reason this is desirable is that sugar causes cravings. In its absence you will have more control over your desires for food, drugs & alcohol. It’s a big life change as your diet is limited to proteins and fats, but when in ketosis you really transform. Watch Dr Eric Bergs videos; he has a ketosis introduction playlist. You won’t hear him mention anything about addiction at all he’s all about weight loss and selling vitamins but I really think a rehab program could be designed around ketosis. If you get into ketosis step two is to do some short fasts and detoxify your tissues. Dr Jason Fung is good on fasting you will have to do your own research regarding detoxing as I haven’t unraveled that one yet. One step at a time, good luck, you can do it!
I would try Kratom but only take it until your WD's go away. Do keep taking it. It really works wonders for opiate WD. It can become a problem if you keep taking it though.
Same! Pain from hard work with RA at young age takin pain pills got addicted OF COURSE then went to methadone...upto 135mg for over 10 f..kin years! Been coming down 1mg per week for couple years now to 26mg and still goin can’t wait to be free!
Not really. People drink for different reasons.
Ruby Night couldn’t agree more man
Elle Luna have you tried everything tho? that's the catch with addictive drugs you don't know what you're missing if you ain't had it
Elle Luna that's lame if anything can be a gateway drug then why not acid and shrooms that's bullshit I think your answer is ignorant nieave and innocent.
I watched people go from drunks to meth addicts or heroin users. I have never been drunk without weed. And I am glad I never turned into a junkie.

Ok try taking 20 of tge 10mgs a day for years. Id start the day out with 6
Send Lee to buy a new shade please.
So much respect for you. ❤
Thats fucked up brother I feel you
You're a straight fkn beast to stop all meds just to make sure you stay stronger than the withdrawals. I applaud you and I'm sure you went hard in the military aswell. Sorry for the pain you have to endure. Hopefully marijuana will help ger you off them.
Thats a honorable way to deal with a hard life
@@kushpush2724 update. Quit all my meds cold turkey back in 2019 and switched to weed. Best decision I ever made.
It takes me from 10 out of 10 pain to a tolerable 3 or 4....
judotapout God blessed us with this plant.
Amazing, so many benefits this beautiful plant
I was in college a decade ago and opioids were being snorted and tossed back like nothing. Shit always scared me and it's a miracle those guys are still here. Some got pretty deep into it, oxy's, xan's, perks, whatever was found..amazing how readily available that poison was. I remember sitting around watchin the ncaa tourney on a friday night, I hit the blunt a few times and we were all just sitting around chillin, I saw somebody nod off for the first time and once I connected the dots, I was out. Too fucking weird for me. Hope they're all well and clean off that bullshit.
wasnt any different in 2018

Erik, I'm happy it's working for you.
About to go into recovery myself hearing this gave massive peace

Kicking dope is still the hardest thing I’ve ever done

I wonder if pain tolerance is a genetic thing or something you can develop
garyfrombuffalo you can develop it but it takes forever and the pain has to be bad enough to pretty much make you pass out and it goes back to normal quickly
Yes for sure many examples.
"Hey Baz, you don't mind if I smoke do ya?"
Suboxone is 2 drugs Buprenorphene and Naloxone . They have antagonist and agonist in the dame drug. Methadone is only an agonist.
But suboxone is only a partial opioid agonist which is why there’s a ceiling effect if one tries to abuse it. Methadone however is a full agonist.
