@@dorotagniedziejko7841 That one doesn't look great, but it still looks way better than whatever this is. Hopefully these two movies will establish that Cage can pull off this role and he'll get to do good Westerns later.
He is the most down to earth actor I've ever met or talked to. Got to talk with him on the phone while he was filming in Hawaii. I was stationed there. He called looking for one of our soldiers while filming wind talkers. Awesome man.

Any time he is making movies I get excited. If they're good, theyre usually really good and memorable. If they're bad, theyre usually absolutely absurd, ridiculous, stupid and so still memorable.

Just watched this last night... Best western ever, very theatrical. They took the best parts from every western and rolled them up into 1 movie... excellent!!!

I had very low expectations of this film and it ended up being a decent western that was actually honest about the sociopathy of the western 'heroes'. Most westerns chalk it up to existentialism or nihilism but this writer knew what was really going on.
Also props for KUBIAK being in this.

My favourite nick cage movie is Willy’s wonderland. He is almost the only character, he doesn’t utter a word, but pulls it off. And yeah, I spent way too much of my life playing fanf
You should checkout Mandy... and if you're into it, watch it on mushrooms. One of the best indie horror movies ever made, imo, and he was amaaazing in it. Absolutely batsh*t bonkers in every beautiful way imagineable.

2) everything is either exploding or is on fire.
I love westerns and scifi, the old way and the future way.

The director photography is the one who died. Her name was Helena Hutchinson and she was a wonderful person who didn't deserve the ending she got. There's 4 rules to gun safety, So for someone who memorizes entire scripts for a living it sure does piss me off that they couldn't memorize for simple rules that could have saved her life.

I’ve always kinda wanted to see Nicolas cage so a western. It looks like he’s hit another home run. The movie had that low budget feel but who cares? Nic cage is a favorite actor of mine and I like westerns. It’s just nice to see him still putting out good movies.

He's had alot of great movies. This was a nice slow burn western.
His performance is great in many movies, but bad scripts paint him in a bad light.
If the writing is good, then it shines through.
