_I've got to say, Lee Van Cliff was simply magnetic in his Spaghetti Western roles. Whenever he strolled onto the screen, dust swirling around his boots, eyes as cold as steel, I found myself leaning forward, totally hooked. He had this raw, authentic grittiness that really brought the wild, wild west to life, right there in my living room. But what I admired most was how he added layers to his characters, making them so much more than your typical gunslingers. He wasn't just playing tough guys - he was playing real, complex individuals who had their own stories to tell. That kind of depth made his performances unforgettable for me. Honestly, Van Cliff's performances are a big part of what made me fall in love with Spaghetti Westerns. His style, his intensity, his knack for bringing characters to life - they're all part of the magic. What an incredible talent he was. His legacy in the genre will live on forever._

Its true Lee Van Cleef is an underrated artist, i watched all his movies in the youtube and it entertains me a lot with what i expect in a cowboy film. Firm look, razor sharp eyes, perfect nose, he's a real cowboy...
Unfortunately, this international version has 27 minutes less footage than the original version. There are a few loose ends left in this edited version. And very good details are lost, such as the fire with Talby's surprise appearance in the crowd, the banker's plans with the judge, the beating of Scott by Wild Jack, Scott's escape from the town, the arrival of the stagecoach to the town, the psychological process that Scott begins to go through questioning Talby, and other moments that leave the really great movie.
Saw this movie in 1967 when it was brand new as an 8-year-old just enjoyed it again Halloween night 2022 what a great actor especially in Western Lee Van Cleef was
"The Right Bullet at the right Time." That line just hit differently. Some of the lines in this movie would make for great samples in a rap song. Never Trust anyone, stay wary, Only brother my gun, just like Scott Mary.
With Lee van Cleef, it's often hard to say whether he was playing the good guy or the bad. In this movie, I think he kept the mystery going right till the end. He was on his own side, took out a lot of garbage, but didn't pander to authority, either. His only mistake was, that he thought he could make Scott forget the lessons that he himself had taught him so well.
Even since I was a kid, (Many yrs back) Saturday morning cartoons and messing with people on dial phones w/party lines..... has ever came before a Dang good Western.. Thank you again... Grjngo
Great film, i love the character of Scott Mary. Can't help with sympathize with him and understand, being talked down to and kicked around all of his life only to be respected via the fear and anger he learns to demand from those very people through the use of a gun.
A Gun Slinger, Ole' Angel Eyes (Van Cleef) takes the town Pee-on Scott (Guiliano Gemma) under his Wing & Makes the Biggest Mistake of his Life! Teaching the Boy & Training him too well! What a FANTABULOUS Movie All Around, Acting, Storyline, Location & Filming were All of High Quality! I Really Loved this Fine Spaghetti Western, THX 4 Uploading! PEACE OUT!
Thanks for upload of this fine movie with good story. Scottie; bloody coward and thankless "Bastard" indeed. The townfolks called him Bastard, insulted him, treated him like a slave. On the other hand "Talby" gave him respect, taught him to be a man, & the Bastard paid him back by shooting him.
In Europe Van Cleef was a huge star, in Spain for example he was just behind Eastwood Bronson .and Terence Hill, a major box office sensation,I remember standing in line for this film in Spain and the lines went round the block..
Addicted to these western greats you name it from John Wayne to Clint, LVC to that ugly Elli and Terrence to Charles Brownson. It was my high school era I never missed them even being in India. Thanks for opportunity to watch them again and again.... better than nasty dramas and depressing news channels😋
I have a problem with this ending. Tolby, if I got his name right, only killed those who tried to kill him. The VIPs of the town were a bunch of crooks who tried to kill Tolby many times. Tolby did what he had to do and was justified. He never betrayed anyone. As for Scott Mary, this numb nut ate up all that garbage fed to him by the old man who was not able to differentiate between good and bad. After he ate up all that garbage, he went and betrayed Tolby, who he owed a great debt. If not for Tolby, Scott would still be cleaning toilets and being mistreated by all the bastards in this town. What a dumb ass.
I'd say all western movies with Guiliano Gemma have the same narative town elites not exactly pure more like bandits in nice cloths and at the end all die good or bad....non really good. What Wyatt Earp was? Gambler, rustler and even ran a brothel before he became us marshal......it is like at the end prosperous people are "good" no matter how filthy way they have become rich. There is no moral in these movies it's just reality....
But cleef who said never trust no one trusted this person so both could be confirmed dumb ass but still such as life you see people betraying each other after befriended each other so yeah this show is brilliant in that case
Agree. The end was not necessary at all. The old gunfighter/sheriff was on the side of the crooks who needed to die. He didn't like Talby from their issue 20 years earlier and was determined to take him down and was old and inept when it came to taking on Talby. Scott should not have taken on Talby. But then the ending wouldn't have been what it was.
I enjoyed that immensely RIP Lee Van Cleef, and thanks for all the great westerns you've done.

When lee van cleef left his parents house at the age of 15 he told his dad"now it's your turn to be the man of the house"
"The Right Bullet at the right Time." That line just hit differently. Some of the lines in this movie would make for great samples in a rap song.
Never Trust anyone, stay wary,
Only brother my gun, just like Scott Mary.
Love this movie 🍿🍿
Another Legend Lee Van Cleef.👍
It is a woderful film. The character Scot Mary is awesome. The photography and back ground music are fine.
Love the way Lee prances around killing & reciting quotes.
Even since I was a kid, (Many yrs back) Saturday morning cartoons and messing with people on dial phones w/party lines..... has ever came before a Dang good Western.. Thank you again... Grjngo
Film Legendaris yg tak membosankan mata memandang.
Kereen 👍👍👍💪
A legend killed by a broom boy! What a bad ending!
Lee Van Cliff is the defination of a western god

PEACE OUT!
great western movie I like old western movie greeting from suadi arabia 😊❤
Thanks for watching :)
Thank you Mr. Van Cleef for your uniformed military service in defense of our country during time of war 🤛🇺🇸🤜
These movies teaches us a lot of life lessons
Lee van cleef is a legend

In Europe Van Cleef was a huge star, in Spain for example he was just behind Eastwood Bronson .and Terence Hill, a major box office sensation,I remember standing in line for this film in Spain and the lines went round the block..

L like Lee Van Cleef movies only second to Client Eastwood , master of western movies.
Franco Nero an Thomas Milan are also really up there
Clint eastwood an lee van cliff is the two best western movie star
I'm still never sure which is best - Lee being badass or Lee being REALLY badass! Great!
54:32 Great scene, music, drama, trick that Talby used, camera angles. All this combined is pure gold
Q2
So are you a director giving a legend director a compliment 🤣
Yep !! I was searching this scene .......
The old chivalric way of duelling......every epoche comes to the roots of two knights fighting for death.
Lee Van Cleef has was handcrafted to be a genuine hardass. F-in love that guy, steals every scene he's in.
Watching 2024 march

great movie with a great American star Lee Van Cleef and an excellent supporting cast I really enjoyed it
This film is so nice
Addicted to these western greats you name it from John Wayne to Clint, LVC to that ugly Elli and Terrence to Charles Brownson. It was my high school era I never missed them even being in India. Thanks for opportunity to watch them again and again.... better than nasty dramas and depressing news channels😋
Even though I am 20 year old but I still love these movies.
Lee van cleef 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The old films are much more interesting and realistic than the modern ones.....
Lee V C is great actor, very convincing, doesnt even have to talk..
Thank you for this great memories.
That's true. Scott was a bustard and remained one too.
Loved the movie, but I agree. Kid should’ve let him go…but he did save toby’s life
The theme song haunted me along 35 yrs. What an amazing soundtrack!!!

Bye you yhave me y
Damm what a great movie. Van Cleef has always been known as one of the fastest gun draws cowboys, but this kid beat him to it.
wow, a Van Cleef movie I hadn't seen yet! THANK YOU!
Seen this one before. Movie looks like nothing till Van Cleef appears, damn such a presence!
This one’s a winner. Thanks.
Giuliano Gemma my childhood favorite star
Lee all lessons learnt
Lee Van Cleef is underrated so much better than John Wayne
...Too lazy to construct a coherent sentence?
No way. Wayne was phenomenal. Check out Rio Bravo.
