Love the shed discussion! I hope you realize that you can relax and let the idea of perfection go. Doing, trying, creating, growing your garden, and growing as a person, is all such an achievement in this life. Perfect is being happy as you sit in your shed on a rainy day with your herbal tea, and sharing who you are with the whole world.
It was like sitting in the shed visiting. Very fun. Just let me know what tea to have ready before I start watching. That make me feel like I was really there.
Katie, please keep waffling on! Love to see the more relaxed side of you and this format suits your personality so well. Like so many others, I would love to hear about your trials and tribulations you have to go through, the car scenario was classic! x
I love the catch-up vlog chats from the purple potting shed, please keep on! I also like the idea of book recommendations. That photo book is amazing. For me, it's a better idea to keep track of what happened in the garden than journaling because I'm so bad at keeping up on writing things down. The herb drying rack is a clever use of space. Thanks for sitting and having a chat with us; looking forward to many more! :-)
I'm so glad you like them, I actually really enjoyed filming this one, was like talking to friends! P.s I got your message too and will look through later :)
Hi Katie! I enjoyed the vlog very much! Looking forward to seeing more in the future. And....I have a cup of camomile tea every evening at bedtime. I love it as well!
Lovely idea Katie! Really enjoyed watching that this morning. Love the personal touch and seeing a different side to u and sharing things. I love yr finds... the drying rack is fab and brilliant idea to store it. Where do u find such wonderful things? Keep up the fab work yr such a inspiration x
Thank you Melanie and I'm so excited to film more! We travel around a lot to different markets so I'm quite lucky really, however I usually end up wanting to keep everything which isn't good for business!
Hi Kate I loved your new style video and the others too. Sorry to hear about your car and hope it is sorted out soon. Really looking forward to the planning video as you are inspiring me to get growing some of my own food. Thank you.
Love love love this video! So nice and relaxing. I feel like I can get to know you better when you "ramble" on. :-) So yes, keep on with these videos, as well as the allotment videos. I love them all.
THE QUEEN OF THE GARDEN KATIE.Katie Sean said if you use a Redcup for your tea.It will stay hotter longer. You can hear the car on the rainy road.It was to rain all day.But at 2PM the sun was shinning.I filled my thermos with coffee.Got on my bike 6 miles went to my communitygarden.I plant more garlic 102 and tomorrow Iam planting more.Keep the videos coming.I enjoy them.
I love this format Katie. Count me in! I have to admit that I positively swooned when you got to the July photos in your book... so many plans for 2018, but for now I'll just keep feeding & watching the birds in my snowy garden. Not a bad life really 🐦⛸❄⛄🌝
One thing to try Katie is finding some local honey. Local bees will use plants and pollen in your area and eating their honey can reduce hayfever symptoms. Even if you're not really affected it's worth a try x
I really like this format. I went right to Amazon and got one of the cups you are using and the book you shared. Sharing a book with us every now and then would be great.
Thank you and I did think that, although I didn't quite fancy walking around in the rain I will most definitely do it next time. I have lots of things planned to share with you all already!
I love it. You could call it, "chat and tea at 15C". Also, the teapot is so sweet, you should definitely keep it. Your photos are beautiful. You have such a great talent for composition and you inspire me to take more photos.
Mitzi Mantooth I looked at your channel because my name is Mitzi as well. I'm fascinated to know how your channel has no content but you have 3,503 subscribers? Are you famous or something?
Thanks for book recommendation. I also have been adding lots more herbs and spices to my veggie garden as well as edible flowers to make my own tea mixes. Just ordered book from Amazon, can't wait to get it. Glad to see your back as well. Love your videos.
Yes, yes, yes....I love all your videos but the "little purple potting shed" ones are always always totally enjoyable & I don't mind what you talk about or even if you're just having a quick cuppa...I think I'm a bit of a "shed head" cos I love seeing videos of folk in their sheds and all the different styles and uses...what a strange lady I am..lol. Sorry to hear about your car, everyone these days seems to take your money and then do anything they can to not provide the service they promised...so annoying when you payed in good faith & trusted them, I hope you've changed or will be changing who you're insured with in future. Happy Sunday. Ann X
Thank you and I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I really liked filming this one and can't wait to do more! Oh don't worry you aren't alone, I love a good shed and would live in mine if I could :) Thankfully my Dad worked in the car trade a few years back so he's fixed my car and it looks amazing. It wasn't my insurance company but the lady who backed into me so I didn't need to change, but thank you and have a lovely week
I love your book recommendations - also I got my husband that red tea cup from whittards when we went Zero Waste and he now loves having loose leaf tea! I have rooibos and mix hibiscus flowers, vanilla pods, rose petals, rosehip shells and things in for myself - I have mint to plant this year for teas - I have never grown chamomile but I might give that a go too! I haven’t got an allotment yet - 30 families still ahead of me on the waiting list - so I have grow bags and containers all over my gravel front garden for the past two years and am trying to learn as much as I can before I get one 💪🏻 your shed is so beautiful! Xx
Hi Katie, I loved your vlog! I’m glad you’ve found this style easier to do and less time consuming. It must be such a big commitment putting out all these lovely videos as you have done, and keeping up with your many fans and followers. You’re such a friendly, likeable character! I Absolutely adored your book. What a brilliant ideia turning your favourite pics into an actual book. Have you thought of publishing it to sell? Also, might Lavender and Leeks have a stand at the RHS Chatsworth or RHS Tatton Flower Shows? Would love to meet you and your dad in person -and get some of his lovely metal works also xx
Nice vlog.like your infuse book and your ingenious use of the space in your tiny shed.Be nice to keep up like this as sometimes short bites are easier to watch in between other things that need doing.
Great video and I loved the chat.It is interesting to me to hear about your plans, your herbs and what is going on in your world,so please keep this type of Vlog going.Cold & Raining here in Ga. USA too..I don't drink hot tea but I am going to get some Chamoline and try it,I have so many sleepless nights.Love the books.I have mine made of what I did with the grands for the yr and of course, the garden.
Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm longing for some sunshine too! Let me know if the chamomile helps and I'd look into using Lavender too as that helps with sleep. You can places a few drops of lavender essential oil on your pillow? It's worth printing photos out isn't it? Especially of the grandchildren!
I love it, please keep with it. Love the kettle and the herb rack, I would have bought both myself. I already bought the book today, thank you. The Pleasure of Herbs, A Month to Month Guide to Growing, Using and Enjoying Herbs by Phyllis V. Shaudys is another good book. Chamomile is one of my favorite teas.
Absolutely loved this vlog episode, Katie! So relaxing and you are getting better and better on camera. How abut using those beautiful photos in a Purple Potting Shed Calendar? I know they can be expensive to print - (but not as much as they used to be!) and you would have a captive audience! Try a short run - your photos are so lovely!
Or use a print-on-demand service in which the photos are uploaded and people purchase from the service and a Katie receives the profits. No need to estimate demand and order either too many or too few.
Thank you so much Lynne, I think it's much more natural isn't it? Funnily enough I've been thinking about making a calendar for a couple of years now and actually went as far as making a collage of all the chosen months! I'm definitely tempted to release one later this year, maybe a limited quantity? Thank you :)
Actually Blurb do just that, people can order your book (if you put it up for sale of course!) and the company prints and sends it direct to them! It's a great idea when you think about it
Love love this new style!!!!! Please continue!!! and I really have to get that book even if I have to travel to England for that :-) (I live in south Sweden)
Loved your video! So happy to have found you. We’ve bought a new home and I’ve a whole 3 acres to play with and design. I also love tea! And make stuff :)
I know it took a lot of time and effort to set up your videos because they appeared so well produced. However, this less formal style will probably be even more satisfying to your viewers. It allows us closer and more frequent looks at the garden and all things L&L-- that's why we subscribe. Looking forward to going thru the seaons.
I'm so glad you kept that beautiful tea pot!! I absolutely love enamel. I have a fabulous recipe for a courgette and walnut cake if you find you have a surplus, it's so light and fluffy. ^_^
PS I've actually got to the end of the video now (I was so excited by the tea pot I had to comment before!), so just to add I love the new style videos and hope you keep making them!
I couldn't not keep it really could I? Just need people here now to drink all the tea! My dad would love that cake, he likes walnuts. I'm more a courgette and chocolate type of girl :)
Hi Katie, I was looking for help to build a frog pond and found you. I am so looking forward to building a pond like yours. Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to your next video.
It is so nice to see a video from you, and yes please this is all good video, hope you decide to keep them going this year. Love your photo's book, and the herbs too! Sorry about your car, they had no right cutting off your bumper, what are they thinking, not very good for their business. I would sure put them on my "not to go there list".
It's sad that repairmen still treat women with such disregard. Same things happened to my wife thirty years ago. When will we ever reach an age of equity between the sexes .I'm glad your dad stepped up but it would be great if he never had to. Love your video. Hope to see more.
Not sure what this has to do with men/women. Dodgy people from all professions smell a rube (someone who might not know enough to know they are being ripped off) when they see one and will cheat them given the opportunity.
ALWAYS WRITE YOUR 'TO BRING' LIST WHILE THE KETTLE BOILS. Then get them together in your bag as soon as you get home whilst your first cuppa is boiling......voila. memory routine
soulder on ........great idea hanging urbs .....two old broom handles wired from screws........will allow tray to slide up on ........ between roof rafters ........S
Wish I was closer to have a cuppa with you, and a visit and natter of course. Sorry to hear about your car, makes you wonder where their head was when they decided to cut the bumper off. Silly people! Anyway, have a good day despite the rain, take care and stay safe. Sandie.
Our allotment sheds get broken into at least every quarter. A pain for me. I want a shed, because I have severely disabling conditons, and would love to make my shed to be cosy and comfortable, but will likely end up leaving it entirely empty each time I go to the allotment. :(

Thank you and I'm slowly learning to be a bit easier on myself. But thank you so much for this comment, you are completely right of course
Lovely video- missed your regular videos so much last year. Please keep making them, you are a charming hostess!
Thank you so much, I missed filming them too!
It is always fun to spend time with you! Can't wait to see you next time.
Love this format!! I was so glad I had a cup of coffee to sip while I watched.
Where do you get your book printed¿
It was like sitting in the shed visiting. Very fun. Just let me know what tea to have ready before I start watching. That make me feel like I was really there.
Thank you and it will most probably be chamomile or 'normal' tea :)
Katie, please keep waffling on! Love to see the more relaxed side of you and this format suits your personality so well. Like so many others, I would love to hear about your trials and tribulations you have to go through, the car scenario was classic! x
Thank you and I'm glad you liked it! I have lots more subjects to talk about so I'm excited to film more
I love the catch-up vlog chats from the purple potting shed, please keep on! I also like the idea of book recommendations. That photo book is amazing. Hi Kate I loved your new style video and the others too. Sorry to hear about your car and hope it is sorted out soon. Really looking forward to the planning video as you are inspiring me to get growing some of my own food. Thank you.

Yes great format. Like the fact that you are telling us your plans for the year. Love the photo books. Take care. Nick

Thank you so much and I can't stop looking back through that book, especially July! Its so cold and wet outside today... Hope you're staying warm
Just found your videos. Been binge watching. Fantastic!
Love this little tea catch-up. Thanks Katie. Have a great week.
Thank you and have a lovely week too
One thing to try Katie is finding some local honey. Local bees will use plants and pollen in your area and eating their honey can reduce hayfever symptoms. Even if you're not really affected it's worth a try x
Oh good idea and my boyfriend gets local honey down in Wales, it tastes so nice! Thanks for the tip, I'm off to look for some near me :)
I really enjoy these kind of videos and I'd love to see more book you're loving.
Yay for the new video series! If it's easier for you and also means more videos, then nothing is more perfect! Waiting for the next one...
So glad you liked it and I can't wait to film more, the next one might even be filmed on my boyfriends farm in Wales :)
liking the spontaneous informal chat videos x
I love this style, please keep doing these.
Hello Katie...love the new format...gardens are a bit dreary right now...but, planning is half the fun. Good to see youand your lovely potting shed.
Thank you and I love planning! Especially when it's wet and miserable outside.
I really like this format. I went right to Amazon and got one of the cups you are using and the book you shared. Sharing a book with us every now and then would be great.
That's a good idea! I like that, also you can wonder with a vlog camera around your allotment, it doesn’t have to be fancy, it’s still enjoyable! 💐
Thank you and I did think that, although I didn't quite fancy walking around in the rain I will most definitely do it next time. I have lots of things planned to share with you all already!
Great Video Katy really enjoyed it more please good luck for this year in all that you do

My first time and I love this style already.
Nice video. It lets us get to know you better. Loved the idea of the memory books. That is what I need to make.

Hello fellow book addict! Thank you and don't worry, I have loads more books to recommend :)
Yes lovely idea Katie !!! so relaxing and pleasant watching your videos while drinking an infusion of "thyme";)

Lovely video, Katie. And all those years ago I watched your first one. Keep going ☀️
Thank you and thank you so much for being there from the very beginning :)

Katie, Yes, I love the Vlogs with you in the little shed. Looking forward to more. Jerris (San Diego, Ca)
Thanks for this video , i really enjoyed it , and i am looking forward to the next one keep up your excellent work
Those photo books are a great idea, I always forget to print photos too
Hi Katie, I loved your vlog!
I also love herbs and grow lots of them to dry for my tea, cooking and home made lotions and soaps. Herbs are amazingly great for our health!
I've been wanting to learn more for a few years now and I find it so interesting!
Nice vlog.like your infuse book and your ingenious use of the space in your tiny shed.Be nice to keep up like this as sometimes short bites are easier to watch in between other things that need doing.
I completely agree and I thought this video was only going to be 10 minutes long, I forget that I talk so much!
Great video and I loved the chat.It is interesting to me to hear about your plans, your herbs and what is going on in your world,so please keep this type of Vlog going.Cold & Raining here in Ga.
Thank you so much and I hope you like the book! Thanks for your recommendation too, I'll look into them
Absolutely loved this vlog episode, Katie!
It's a great idea when you think about it
Well done Katie, most enjoyable.
Such a nice treat to hear your voice again :) I hope youtube's new changes don't affect your channel too much :) thanks for sharing
I don't think they affect me too much, it's all down to views and I seem to be getting enough thanks to you lovely bunch!
Yes. I love these videos 🙌🏼❤️🌱
Love love this new style!!!!! Please continue!!! and I really have to get that book even if I have to travel to England for that :-) (I live in south Sweden)
Thank you and I think the book is worldwide and in different languages too!
You make me relax & enjoyed your video. . .thank you!
Loved your video! So happy to have found you. We’ve bought a new home and I’ve a whole 3 acres to play with and design. I also love tea! And make stuff :)
I really enjoy your videos!
Love this. I’m a fan in the USA
I know it took a lot of time and effort to set up your videos because they appeared so well produced. However, this less formal style will probably be even more satisfying to your viewers. It allows us closer and more frequent looks at the garden and all things L&L-- that's why we subscribe. Looking forward to going thru the seaons.
Thank you so much for this lovely comment and I'm glad they come across like that even if I don't feel it :)
Iove the waffle too shows your real and have feelings most endearing with the fake people who live perfect lives
Love to see pics of problem I was mechanic body shop guy for 14 years before becoming a gardener
I'm more a courgette and chocolate type of girl :)
such a joy to see you, love.
Hi Katie, I was looking for help to build a frog pond and found you. I am so looking forward to building a pond like yours. Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to your next video.
Thank you and I'm so glad it's inspired you! Have fun building and enjoying your pond
Good idea, I’m going to check blurb out now 😊
Sign up to the newsletters and every now and again you'll receive codes etc!
Loved the ending
Very nice and if it works best for you, that's the important thing!
Love the vlog idea!
Hello from Michigan! I have used old window screens for drying my herbs on, just a thought!
Thank you and I think it also comes down to the fact that I don't stand up for myself, I really need to learn to do that!
As a single woman, i think Dorian is spot on. Even my neighbor says he has noticed that women are given much less service for higher prices.
ALWAYS WRITE YOUR 'TO BRING' LIST WHILE THE KETTLE BOILS. Then get them together in your bag as soon as you get home whilst your first cuppa is boiling......voila. memory routine
Thanks for the tip, and if it means I get to drink more tea the better it is :)
Was nice having tea with you.
Thank you for coming :)
soulder on ........great idea hanging urbs .....two old broom handles wired from screws........will allow tray to slide up on ........ between roof rafters ........S
Thanks for the tips, I was thinking just screwing eyes into the corners of the rack with twine and a hook in the roof... We'll see!
Stevie is my new one , great natural sweeter! 🤗🤗
Great style of video, really enjoyed it :)
Wish I was closer to have a cuppa with you, and a visit and natter of course. Sorry to hear about your car, makes you wonder where their head was when they decided to cut the bumper off. Silly people! Anyway, have a good day despite the rain, take care and stay safe. Sandie.
Nice see you starting make vlog it's a pity I live in Belfast are I liked a invite to the tea party nice see other plots
I found this an interesting format. Particularly during a dreary January on Prince Edward Island.
beautiful video... I feel like I'm in the garden with you!
I don't think you waffle on, it's like visiting with a friend and being yourself.
Geri Romero agree completely. I love the chattiness because it really does feel like a nice visit
Thank you for the herbal tea book review. Ordered it.
love your videos.
Besides being charming... love your beautiful scarf!
Thank you and it's my favourite! From Monsoon Accessorize :)
I love books too. I just bought HERBS after hearing you talk about it. I would love it if you were able to make a book review video 🤗
Our allotment sheds get broken into at least every quarter. A pain for me. I want a shed, because I have severely disabling conditons, and would love to make my shed to be cosy and comfortable, but will likely end up leaving it entirely empty each time I go to the allotment. :(
I'm so sorry to hear that they get broken into, what a bunch of nasty people they are for breaking into people's property!
Loved it!
Please continue with weekly chats. Lovely
It would be lovely to see and hear you more regularly, but you should do what is best for you and your schedule.
Thank you, I really enjoyed filming this video as it was just like talking to old friends. Infact I'm so excited to film more like this!
