❤️🌱no apologies needed for talking at length, Katie. Your informative and engaging narrative is why your channel is so successful. We learn so much and it so nice for like-minded people like me to be able to follow your successes and lessons.
I think the main reason we watch these videos is because we like you talking at us. We like it when you show us things too! So glad you got bored of not making videos.
I am so happy to see you again, Katie. Love following your adventures on Instagram, but RUclips is much better and more personal! Thanks for sharing your love for gardening 💕
Great to see you and your allotment. Don't worry about long videos, I loved every minute. Take care of yourself and enjoy your time when you can get it. I'll look forward to the cooking videos. 🌻
So happy to see a video from you again! I hope you had wonderful success at the garden shows this past summer. I grew a tall sunflower this year too, with purple morning glories twining up the stalk. The bees had a blast! Your new artwork will look beautiful In the shed. Congrats on the publication article! You deserve it. :-) Welcome back, Katie. Blessed Be
Thank you and the shows have been more than we expected! Oh I love the idea of flowers growing up the stalks, I bet it looked lovely too. Thank you again
Yeah!!! Katie’s back. So happy for the update. Great to see you and the allotment again. So happy that the shows where a success. Have a wonderful Autumn.
So nice to see you again Katie! Great update. Congratulations on making it into the Kitchen Garden magazine, that's very exciting! Take care, Gabby. :-)
Hiya, just wanted to say thanks for your video. I'm sure at times you found it hard but thanks for being so honest. I've been in the same boat as you this year and was about to hand my allotment back as its in the same way as yours but you have shown that it can happen to anyone. You have made me feel so much better about my allotment. Thank you Katie xx
Just found your podcast. Enjoyed it and looking forward to the next. Hope you are keeping a journal about your successes and failures, plans for next year. Here in Texas, we must rotate the crops to avoid depleting soil and for bug control. The flowers were the most awesome site! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Jo. I have a handmade notebook that I carry around with me every where I go which is full of all my notes and plans. We rotate our vegetable beds too but it's just areas like the trough and archway which don't get changed. I'll be adding manure and fertilisers this year though. Thank you again
Brilliant! Good to see your still at it, I have used your videos as reference to sowing and growing my own veg this year, and all though here in the far west of Ceredigion it has been rather wet! My harvest has been quite successful, happy days, looking forward to your next video :-)
So nice to see you again!!! Love the drawing, it will look great framed, what a treasure. I am in the U.S. but I will try to find a copy of that book, you must be sooooo proud.
Hello Diane and thank you so much. It's definately going to be framed and added to my wallpapered wall in the shed. It was such a nice article, I was extremely happy with it :)
Well I'm an old subbie and I'm back. I've been away from allotmenting for a few years due to a move, surgery and illness. But now I've got my mojo back and I'm subbing back to my old youtubers I used to enjoy watching :) good to see you! It's been a hard year, for me...recovery from major surgery, found out I've got heart probs now too, 3 deaths, 1 birth, illness on and off, and with all that, day to day stuff too. What a year :/ be glad to see the back of it now. Enough of my rambling. Nice to be back and looking forward to seeing how you get on xx
Hello and welcome back! So sorry to hear about your bad year but I'm glad you have your 'mojo' back like you said. Nothing beats raising your spirits like gardening so I hope you get to spend time in yours. x
Yayyy so good to see you back Katie, I've missed your videos so much! 💜 With the fertiliser tubs, in mine I put all the leaves in onion sacks so it self strains and add a tap to the tub so you can fill you watering can easily without splashes and having to over endure the stench! 🤢😷👍 P.S Go easy on yourself, you've had a mammoth year on and you've still had lots of wonderful success 😘
Good Morning from France 🙋, really enjoyed watching your new update as it has been a while but I also understand how life really does get in the way at times 🙂. Hugs x
Hooray! Lovely update 😊 You know, I think we're all very critical of our own Allotments, I think yours looks rather tidy! Looking forward to seeing a bit more of you in the winter months. A bit of a Welsh twang in there too 🐑🐑 x
Thank you Natalie! I believe you are right you know, it's easy to pick out all the bad points isn't it? I can't wait to film more but right now I am infact in Wales :)
Katie, I love your allotment. It really does look great, it's normal for this time of year. You've put in so much hard work. I wouldn't mind your fruit-cages and mammoth sunflowers! If you, or anyone is interested, I've some gardening (small-scale!) and succulent videos myself :) Love from a newish subscriber whose pleased to see you back, Faith Chi. xox
You'll have the plot looking good in no time....sometimes life gets in the way of all the plans we make. Congratulations on your magazine coverage .....I think the exposure will be good for your little shop. Don't fret the weeds ....at least the soil is covered and a bit protected from the rains of fall and winter.....study the weeds before pulling as they tell you what you need to add to enrich your soil.
Thank you so much Dorothy and it's getting there, just that big pile of rubbish to sort out for next year! Thank you again about the magazine, I was so happy with it.
BRILLIANT!!!!! Stop apologising about talking too much or having neglected the plot. I Love all you're videos and I've so missed you and you're updates. However feeling a little sad about the bulbs you're replacing I always thought with a feed once or twice a year they would go on for years. If you haven't discarded them put them in the flower patch with some of that 6x dug in before you might be surprised.
Brilliant video, really enjoyed watching that ,tip for your pond you need a fine net scoop out some of the mud and let it hang over the pond just touching the water so all the butt in there can go back into the water because you will have a few in there depending on how much mud you have at the bottom it shouldn't take to many days to clear it ,💚💚
You will be surprised how strong those nets are , or if it's not to deep use a fine mesh sieve but put two sticks across the pond to let water drain away and bugs to escape 🦐🦎
nice to see you back... still following you on other media... better to be busy it means that business has been good. Tell that bloke of yours he is very lucky to be the boyfriend of a 'centre fold' ! I bet you are relieved they showed the pics from LAST September though !
Thank you, it's good to be back. I'm sure he does ;) They actually popped round last September and did the interview so I knew what would be published, but yes :)
Nice to see your plot again 'warts and all' I think a lot of us have got areas we would rather not have..I know just what you mean by dumping waste and creating a huge pile to deal with. The photos were a good idea to show us what's been happeningwhile you were so busy.Thats a lot of stuff you have to load and unload for the shows.Hope to see another video when you have time .
Thanks Helen and hopefully my little messy area will be cleared soon. It's easy enough to add to the pile isn't it?! The shows were a lot of work but worth it. I'll be trying to do more videos now and more recipes too!
You don't have to burn the sweet corn stalks. You can actually bury them in the ground and they will return nitrogen. It is done commonly here in southern US. I did that this year and last, and they broke down by spring.
Don't even worry, I didn't even get to plant a garden this year. There is always next year🌸 Love your videos and glad your back. What do you do in the winter as far as the allotment and your shop
So many factors as you know. You really need to rejuvenate the soil where the pumpkins grew. Did your beans put too much nitrogen into the area where the pumpkins were? Your a good gardener and I have missed your channel. What is your ph level and what do pumpkins like? Compost only is not enough to replenish your soil. Google is your friend!!
It seems every time I watch videos from UK it is either raining, starting to rain or has just stopped raining... but rain features very much in your day over there haha... I came home to Canada in 1973 and now I remember why, well, until it starts to snow over here haha... I guess I traded one for the other. Anyway, take care, stay safe.... Sandie.

Thanks Penny and I was dissapointed with the tulip bulbs as well but I read somewhere about particular bulbs that won't come back every year...
So glad you're back!
Yes you are back!!!

Nice to see you back :) I have missed your videos !

Thanks Paul and I love the tip, I'll have to try it. Although I am worried the net won't be strong enough to break through the compacted mud...
You will be surprised how strong those nets are , or if it's not to deep use a fine mesh sieve but put two sticks across the pond to let water drain away and bugs to escape 🦐🦎
