Although the exterior showcases traditional Islamic architecture, hidden inside is an interior covered with intricate stained glass windows, creating a stunning kaleidoscopic effect each time they catch morning sunlight. The unique design and gorgeous color palette create a peaceful environment for prayer, drawing worshippers from all around the world.

I was there in December 2017 and as a Catholic, the most surprising discovery for me that was never been written in news or magazines is that each mosque are required to have a Christian section. Imagine my surprise seeing a Christmas tree inside a heritage mosque!! I have to double take and asked one of the handlers to identify it just to be sure. But there is no mistaken it, a Xmas tree with fairy lights, ornaments & packages gift wrapped. After that realization of how tolerant Iranians are towards other religions, I didn't shy away when asked if I were a Muslim. It was one of the best trips I have taken in my life. Been to 58 countries to date, can't wait until we can all travel again.

Cut your crap dude. This Iranian design is been around for thousands of years. Take your dumb idea to the world museums and you can find it in Elemite, Achamanid , Parthian,Sasanid and today’s Buildings. If French closed the door to you , then you can check out the Iranian videos on RUclips TODAY and see the Iranian professional Artist working in Syria in mosques and other places.
Keep lie to yourself, BUT I can promise you that you won’t get anywhere.
My time inside this mosque feels like a dream. The Persian rugs are laid out during winter & remove in the summer to reveal exquisite marble floors. Got up really early to be the first inside. It was a magical place to be.

dark arm no they are not. For exp these two are mosques build by ottoman architect who are also balkan origined, sedefkar mehmet aga and sinan the architect.
Prophets mosque is best
It has been my dream to visit this mosque and explore Iranian culture and cuisine. Then, 3 days ago, the news on US and Iran conflict plus the bombings was always in the air. Really hope that the culture, architecture and civilization there would not really deeply devastated in the next few days.

the mosques in Iran mostly use blue tiles so this one stands out because of the color of the tiles. those windows are used in most of the mosques from that period of time.
