I vaguely remember Favorite and they started a service from Hartlepool to Durham to compete with the TMS Hartlepool Sedgefield service as TMS had started services to poach their routes further north. That Favorite route basically paralleled the old pre deregulation United route 19 Hartlepool to Bishop Aukland but at some point veared north to Durham City instead of it's westward meandering to Bishop Aukland.
@@StationBBLT I don't think that it had anything to do with Manchester!I believe that Favorite was a resurrection of an old North Eastern bus company which had run services years before. As I recall Favorite, the new one,was a sub company of Busways and was used, although it failed, to try an attack rural companies like TMS, on their own territory, who had moved into the urban municipal bus areas since deregulation.Favorite was pretty short lived.

Was the Favorite Livery a Manchester Livery?
