    Bomber appears on Motörhead’s album ‘Bomber’. Originally released on Bronze Records on 27th October 1979, produced by Jimmy Miller. The line up on this album was Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Philthy Animal Taylor.
    Lyrics
    Oh
    Aah
    Ain't a hope in hell
    Nothing is gonna bring us down
    The way we fly
    Five miles off the ground
    Because we shoot to kill
    And you know we always will
    It's a bomber, it's a bomber
    Scream a thousand miles
    Hear the black death rising moan
    Firestorm coming closer
    Napalm to the bone
    Because you know we do it right
    A mission every night
    It's a bomber, it's a bomber
    No night fighter
    Gonna stop us getting through
    The sirens make you shiver
    You bet my aim is true
    Because you know we aim to please
    Bring you to your knees
    It's a bomber, it's a bomber, it's a bomber
    Yeah

      Tribute to the RAF as in not the model of aircraft, but the boys who flew 5 miles above the ground.. on their way to flatten Germany.. Sad but true.. Great Lemmy bass track... Any relation to Gary Neuman..?? I'm into his Electronica atm...

    It's disrespectful to motörhead that they only won a grammy for making a cover of a metallica song. Motörhead deserve so much more love than they get. I swear people barely know who they are

      @@bobmartin4021 I just watched a documentary on Motorhead, where it was said that during their heyday, some of their albums were hitting top ratings in charts, "No Sleep till Hammersmith" was even the #1 in the album charts. I don't think that they cared all that much about grammy awards, they already won prizes without going down as much as Metallica did after St. Anger. (In my opinion, that is, of course)

    Never forget. I'm 63 and this is the only music ( Band ) that gives me this electric goose bumps energy medicine. I 1st saw them in the late 1970's and was a fan forever. I saw them play the long gone Palladium for the Ace of Spades tour front row and the high level of energy made it feel & sound like a helicopter was landing on the stage. Memories for a million lifetimes.

      I’m 62 years old and I was at the same concert motorhead to me is so awesome every time I listen to them I get chills up and down my back and my blood curdles they will never be another band like that again. I saw them several times one that comes to my mind is when they played at the Caldarone theater in Hempstead Long Island. It was a small place, but they blew the doors open. They were so loud. Unfortunately the Caldarone is not there anymore either. also, when I was there, they were members of the Plasmatics behind me and a couple of friends we all enjoyed that show together that’s for sure.

    Still the best hard rock band to ever come out of the UK, and this track sounds as good in 2021 as it did the day they 'recorded it. Eddie never gets the recognition he deserves and in my mind was the best guitarist they ever had! Phil was the perfect drummer for the band and the original line up is without doubt one of the greatest 3 piece rock bands of all time. God bless you Lemmy.

    "Bomber" is a VERY underrated album, mainly because it was released after "Overkill" and before "Ace Of Spades", happens to alot of bands.

    • @DmageCase
      @DmageCase 4 года назад +28

      Yes but if you love Ace Of Spades and Overkill you obvioulsy love Bomber because the three belong to the classic Motörhead. Stone Dead Forever, Dead Men Tell No Tales and Bomber are as good as any song on Ace Of Spades or Overkill.

    • @croweman6515
      @croweman6515 4 года назад +6

      @@DmageCase yes, that's what I'm saying, "Bomber" is just underrated compared to the other 2, it's the same deal with Saxon's "Strong Arm Of The Law", released between "Wheels Of Steel" and "Denim And Leather".
