    l hauled concrete for 16 years and NEVER heard of someone trying to put a 4" slump through a trl. pump, not even a hard rock pump. Even 6" will still dry pack in the hose sometimes. lt was always a joy dealing with amateurs, especially when "stand by" time is $1.00 a minute. CHA-CHING! lol.

      I was surprised the Pump Operator even allowed OP to put that in the hopper ESPECIALLY since he already had old mix drying in the pipe...
      I sure as HELL would have told him NO WAY IN HELL IS THAT MIX GOING IN MY PUMP!!!, Screw what the Customer wants, HE'S not responsible for fixing or clearing blockages...

    12:11 - "I'M NOT ONE TO BACK DOWN FROM A FIGHT"........Did anybody else smile when they actually heard this??
    I mean, FOR ONCE NOT HEARING THE INFAMOUS LINES;
    "BUT I DON'T LIKE CONFRONTATION " or ,
    "I DON'T DEAL WELL WITH CONFRONTATION" or ,
    I TUCK TAIL BETWEEN LEGS AND RUN, WHILE LETTING PEOPLE WALK ALL OVER ME" or , (THE EVEN BETTER, ) "AS SOON AS I GOT ANXIOUS BECAUSE OF THE CONFRONTATION, I BURST INTO TEARS AND HID ME HEAD IN THE SAND".
    THE LAST ONE IS, "I WAS BORN WITHOUT A SPINE, AND I IDENTIFY AS A SHEEP OR LEMMING, (DEPENDING ON THE DAY OR THE LEVEL OF SELF ADVOCATING I AM ABOUT TO AVOID). 😂😂😂😂😂
    ANYWAY...IT'S JUST NICE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY STANDS UP FOR THEMSELVES AND ISN'T A PUSHOVER DOORMAT.

      Where I used to work, I spent a lot of time proofreading and correcting operating instructions written by our otherwise intelligent engineering department. This was appreciated by the engineers, except for that one guy. There was no way that my high school educated butt should be correcting anything Mr. Big University Graduate did. Mr. Big wrote some instructions that basically told the operator to assemble an item backwards, using an adhesive that cannot be removed. The error was caught relatively quickly and Mr. Big was told to run his instructions by me going forward.

    If you want to know if your Property is part of an HOA or not, the easiest way to do it is pull a copy of the Title/Deed fro the County Records Office. If the Property is a Member of an HOA, that will be listed as a Restriction on the Deed...No Restriction = NOT in the HOA!!!

    If the printer was that loud you probably needed hearing protection. Should have called OSHA. Figured it was not in the U.S. I'm sure it could be reported to a safety organization.

    I don't live in the USA, serious question for those that do. Why would anyone have a HOA, it seems that they only exist for petty power games and possible exclusionary behaviour, i.e. ' we don't want your type here !' .

    In the second story/situation, ASCII is a Computer Code (language) & it is pronounced something like “Asskee” not ASC 2. Later in the story there is “pcs”… that’s short for PCs (Personal Computers, plural).

    Those big noisey printers were line printers, i.e. they printed a whole line at the same time, no individual characters just the information dumped to the printer a line at a time. the head didn't move. The paper advances to the next line.
