SMUG KAREN NEIGHBORS СALLS 911 ON ME! I Am the Land Owner of this Land! r/EntitledPeople
We got banned from the local Pizza Hut for queuing up Puff The Magic Dragon 25 times in a row on the jukebox back in the 80’s. They didn’t even get through 10 times in a row before they pulled the plug on the jukebox and asked us to leave.
Nice song, but there are limits. I sometimes have to put up with snatches of a song off and on all day because my earworm is in the mood for it. About halfway through this past December, we had a power failure that lasted about 21 hours. My earworm played the sound of my refrigerator motor for the ENTIRE TIME!😖😠😳 When the power came back on, my earworm went silent until mid-March. I thought it was permanently broken until it slowly started to function again. It's almost mid-October, and it's still not quite as active as it used to be. It did decide on playing the James Bond tune, For Your Eyes Only, yesterday, while I was waiting for a ride to a doctor appointment, though. I don't know why it picked that tune. There was nothing going on that I thought could trigger it. Anyway, playing a tune repeatedly for hours is likely to annoy people. 😂
@@Questor-ky2fvthat's exactly why that's one of the things used as an actual torture technique, bc it is torture
Music Story: If I was OP, the moment the system got locked into one song, I'd have been calling both Tech Support and their Bosses and filed MASSIVE Complaints about the music and IT's refusal to do their jobs in a timely manner...
And I'd be filing those Tickets/Complaints once per hour until it got fixed and after the 2nd day, I'd call the District and Regional Managers and tell them if they don't light a Nuke under IT, I'll be looking into Filing a Lawsuit against IT for Dereliction of Duty as well as Mental and Emotional Damages...
I’m glad OP was able to get a fence to regain peace in their outdoor sanctuary. 🙏🏻💖
I worked at a grocery for a few years, some good, some bad. The store would start playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving through News Years eve. You would hear the same songs over and over, but by different artists. There are only so many Christmas songs and every musician has to record them. You learn to tune it out.
We had the opposite, when our neighbour, asked my wife to ask me to trim our bushes, so she could see the garden birds who visited our bird table. She snorted and said NO, but theres nothing to stop you from getting your own bird table and putting out food and attracting your own birds. The answer was a whine that said, "But that costs money!" My wife just walked away.
My daughter left the intro to "RENT" playing in her dvd player on loop for almost 6 months. Believe me when I tell you, I know how many minutes are in a year! 😂😂😂😂
I'd be slamming my head on a wall

@@darkmage9252 I've only heard the song all the way through once
I would have put up a privacy fence the first day she sat on the edge of the yard.
Agreed. I would have told her from the beginning to get off my property (politely) and put up a No Trespassing sign.
Last story - Here in Washington state, she would owe you 50% of the cost of the fence.
It's more than thirty years since I worked in a clothing shop. We had a cassette that was played for a whole season. The only time a new tape came in was when there was a sale. If I hear any of the songs that played, my brain automatically plays the following tunes 😕 x
Last story: As the saying goes, good fences make good neighbors.
OP shouldn't have had to go that far. People today are too worried about offending anyone and don't stand up for themselves as they should. After a couple of intrusions, they should have just flatly told the neighbor something like 'I want to be a good neighbor, but your comments and opinions are neither needed nor wanted. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything. I will put whatever plants and decorations in my yard that I want, it is not up to you. Do not enter my property unless you are invited, and do not touch or move anything on my property. In return, I will give you the same courtesy.' Some people just can't take a hint. You have to lay it all out for them in plain terms.
I had to Google elastic heart as I've never heard the song. I couldn't listen to the song all the way through once. Can't imagine having to hear it two or three times a day--let alone nonstop all day.
I think that the CIA has used repetitive music blasting as a torture technique throughout the years. This would definitely be a song on that list.
I absolutely cannot listen to the Theme from the early 70s movie "Shaft" for this reason although it was not because a store played it over and over but patrons at the bowling ally I hung out at played it replayed it and replayed it for hours on the Jukebox while I was playing Pinball. Almost wish I was not as good at that one as I was. Thats because I would be able to play the game for $0.25 for those same hours on hours.
I had to Google it too, and I agree with every word Tanya wrote.
I googled it as well -- 1.09 closed it down. Everything about it was awful. Sia has a lovely voice but that was crap.
You wouldn’t have to listen to it they chose to instead of turning it off
I was working at Busch Gardens several years ago over Halloween, getting the Christmas displays ready behind the scenes. During an early morning while the park was closed to the public, the sound crew decided to check the sound levels on the speakers. They did so by blasting at max volume the same one minute long park song ("Come Play in My Garden" for those who care) on repeat for the next 4 hours. I was up a tree in a boom lift the entire time. I could not escape. The song still causes flashbacks.
My first warning to such people, is to tell them I have Asperger's and they are making me uncomfortable.
After that, I go straight to telling them to F- off.
Do I actually have Asperger's? Well, it's never been officially diagnosed, but who knows.
keep track of the neighbor peeping over your fence. You can report her as a peeping tom, then get a 'restraining' order to prevent her skulking. Also I had neighbors with demon kids that climbed over my fence a lot. solved that with berry bushes.... raspberry bushes. the kind that have a crap ton of thorns, as well as rosehip shrubs. mad nelly out of both at end of season. native here. a few times hitting thorns they final stopped, and I get pretty pink flowers, some edibles, and birds and squirrels visiting and not Lucifers crotch goblins.
That last story sounds like she was doing it to make you pay for a fence she wanted as well. She just didn't want to pay for it.
Hearing the same sound played that many times would be like Chinese water torture only audible.
Man I laughed out loud at the first story working 4 years and counting at Walmart and that's every year around Chrismas for us.
I'd have planted honey locust trees along the back.... 2-3 inch thorns....
Another good barrier plant is Pyrocanthia. It's thorns can go through truck tires (personal experience).
Retail industry doesn't understand how important music is for people in terms of psychology in terms of of making people wanting to shop. Look during Christmas time and you'll see what I mean as far as the increase of sales.
Neighbor story, good fences make good neighbors.
Good afternoon or evening everyone and RedWheel 😊
You realize that nothing in the video matches the video title, right?
Yes, I noticed that too.😂
outside the hell that is christmas in customer service my store once had 2 days where we had a 1hr playlist. The same 12 songs on a loop it was maddening and as someone who actually listens to lyrics I was of course one of the first to figure it out 2hrs into my 9hr shift
So he cleared the plants that created privacy, neighbour bugged until he put in a fence to recreate the privacy and they stipped. Sounds like that was what the neighbour was hoping to happen.
"I'm such a total wimp that I can't tell an intrusive neighbor to mind her own business." There, saved 6 minutes of whining.
Had similar music situation at a high school auditorium. Our stagecraft class was doing the lights and scenery for an elementary school production of Snow White. We were trying to do the lights for the scene with the song lyrics someday my prince will come. The grade school teacher would start the scene run it half way thru and request a different color for the scene. So lower three pipes full of lights and change the color gels. We did this for at least an hour. I have PTSD to this day when I hear the song.
I find myself feeling sorry for the people who drive ice cream trucks and run certain games at places like carnivals, etc. Remember one we saw years ago, don't remember now where it was, they played the theme song for SpongeBob SquarePants over and over again. The guy looked like he was in pain. 😂
Last story: If someone like that Karen tried that with me, I'd tell her this: "If you like my flower garden so much, I can make sure you and Nature can have a 1 on 1 forever." That would have shut her up and if she even dared to report me, I'd tell her I had video evidence of her trespassing on my property.
❤ Hey, y'all. I hope everyone is having a great Friday. Warm weather for the weekend. Redwheel, your stories are a great way to start the weekend. Y'all stay safe and enjoy your weekend.
Hope everyone had a great Friday 😊
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend 😊
With the repeated songs, would have got cards made uo with customer complaints details to hand to each customer when repeat started.
Good afternoon all
Howdy people
2nd!🧡🍒✌️
The first story is exactly why I never applied to one of my favorite places for a job. I live in Michigan and fairly close to Bronner’s Christmas store. They play Christmas carols all day, every day.
I applied at my dream shop, a candy store. Except I never got past filling out the form. The candy and chocolate smell in the shop was overwhelming.
Better for me in the long term.
I was working at a small deli sandwich shop on the ASU campus in Tempe Az. I came to work and one of my coworker's love life took a nasty fall. So for approximately 3 to 4 hours we had to listen to "What's Love Got To Do With It" straight from the jukebox!
The manager didn't do anything about it!
The lady in the last story needed to have been told bluntly to eff off and mind her own business. There's no reason to be polite with people who aren't being polite.
Twist for the last story: She wanted you to build the fence on your own dime, so she pestered you until you did.
What? No one else remembers what the US Special Forces did to Manuel Noriega? They played a Van Halen tape on loop over loud speakers when he was holed up in a nunnery. He was facing life in prison...
He surrendered after 10 days.
In the late 1970s I worked the Christmas season at a local department store where shifts were often two hours long. The store had ONE Christmas album (yes, a real record album) and played it without ceasing. To this day I hate Bing Crosby’s Christmas album. Especially Hawaiian Christmas. Underpaid to listen to 12 hours of torture almost daily for SIX WEEKS!
Regarding the first story, a number of years ago a local pop rock radio station was sold to a national conglomerate. There was a two week window between closing and reopening... the last select to be broadcast was “it’s the end of the world as we know it...” (song by R.E.M.). The last DJI out left the CD in play on repeat and that is what was broadcast for over 2 weeks...
First story: There has to be some kind of input for the music to play through. A stereo or a computer, or something else that sends out the music through cables to the speakers in the store, so a smart person would look at the system and see if there was a way to jerry rig something. Worse case you buy several spools of audio wire, and 10 to 20 speakers, and connect it all to a stereo system in a central spot and then you can play your own music.
If you didn't want to do this then print out the contact info for corporate and give that to customers to complain about the music. Eventually corporate will do something to stop the complaint calls.
Thanks red😊
Rent/ buy a buncha floppy noodle doors, line 'em along your property border and turn 'em loose and floppy. Add blinkenlights to make 'em extra annoying...
And if anyone does try this, please post the results...
Thank-you for the ear worm lol, it's been almost 30 years since we went to Disney and I can still remember it 😅
Song on repeat worked in department store for like 8yrs, 9Christmas seasons. After that time hearing a Christmas song was enough to get me to leave the store rather quickly it was almost a decade before I could stand to hear a Christmas song again and then it was alternative music starting with Trans Siberian Orchestra
Simple solution to the yard watcher, build a fence! If you can’t do that just tell her to stfu and stay off your property!
Play a ten hour loop of Monty Python's Watney's Black Label sketch...
That story about OP and the motorcyclist on the trail? Where I'm from that's called "sogging someone". It's usually done to irritate someone behind you on the road who is riding your rear bumper.
Many moons ago, my co-worker & I counted 16 different versions of White Christmas in one 8 hour shift! 🤦🏼♀️
Last story: build a fence seems like the only way
Last OP could have called police for harassment i think
🔥🔥🔥🧙♂
I sympathize with OP in the last story. After the military, the minute I feel eyes watching me I lose my sh*t. I have and will confront those watching and tell them off. IDK it just bothers me on the highest level. Probably because it reminds me of getting shot at.
last story
why do i have a feeling she is going to purchase a lifeguard chair (one of those who tower high up so she can se over the fence) an a bullhorn/Megaphone
911 was never called in any story in this video !
I paused listen to this episode just to check out Sia's "Elastic Heart" My listening ended about 10 seconds in. I can deal with "Titanium" every once in a while but "Elastic Heart" is downright irritating.
yard story: bluetooth earbuds and have her tresspassed
Isn't there some kind of volume control? There's always one so that the system can adjusted to match the environment.
So was the title about a smug karen calling 911 just click bait?
Comment,,
This Karen just a bully. This neighbour want her garden e better the op garden. This me I told shout the f up. This entire neighbour just she think tell other people what do their property
1😊
1st!💜🍰✌️
4:20... this is why you need to keep taps on your employees. But also why you don't pull stunts like these. OP in the first story is really clueless, eh? Copyrigth and usage laws? That bluetooth speaker tunt could have resulted in thousands and thousands of dollars in legal compensations. Licensed music and all?
OP in the last story sure is a jerk. Engages and talks with everyone else except their neighbors who they alegidle have a grudge with.
And of course assuming all that happened was true. Who cares if the neighbors weren't involved!
Title is CLICK BAIT.
First lol hi
That 2nd story is the op’s fault. Should have shut down the trespassing down right away. Tell her to leave you alone and shut the f up.
