      John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
      Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
      2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
      Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I remember hearing in a video that the Ninth Legion could have deserted and the reason they "disappeared" was that in such cases Roman bureaucrats would have wiped all their records, effectively erasing them from history. I don"t know why but I love that theory, it's a perfect blend of historical pettiness.

I think you are under selling polynesian navigation techniques. They didn't just blindly sail into open ocean in any direction until they hit island. They learned to read the ocean currents, the celestial map, and noted the flight path of birds. The birds have to eventually land somewhere and basically gave sailors an indication of which direction they might find islands.

This was actually pretty good as icebergs go. Like, there was genuinely obscure stuff on the bottom levels. Often, I can't understand why the person who came up with the iceberg organized it the way they did, because there are things I've never heard of at the top and stuff I know about at the bottom.

You touch on it a few times in this, but it really annoys me that people will try claim all these fanciful explanations for some aspects of society in the past. When some modern opinions end up at the always ridiculous "[modern concept of] Aliens did it/told them/made it/..." I just roll my eyes. There are loads of civilizations and individuals who were clever thinkers/engineers/leaders... who get devalued because there is 'no way they would have known' when in fact they did, as well as the hard working historians looking into topics like the Ninth Legion or Hannibal's Elephants that in my opinion are mocked by stupid theories. An alternate theory is fine, some have come to be the most likely scenario, but of all the 'solved' mysterious in recent times non are ever as outlandish as 'Aliens' or a 'Race of Giants' that some suggest - keep the fantasy to, you know, fantasy.
Rant aside, love the vid Historical-ish, hope you do a Vol. 3 someday.

Sumerian King list might have lumped descendants in with their predecessors to make reign lengths cumulative.
By this logic, Ptolemy would've ruled Egypt for 275 straight years.

...what?? Invaluable means "impossible to valuate*, this is *not* something the word "valuable" on its own ever means in any context. There is a difference.

    • @MrThhg
      @MrThhg 28 дней назад +1

Both "valuable" and "invaluable" are adjectives that describe something that has value, but "invaluable" is often used to describe something that is so valuable that it's beyond estimation

japanese speaker here to do my duty🫡 your pronunciations are mostly on point honestly! my only tips are 1. "yayoi" is more like "yah-YO-ee", each syllable separate and 2. for things like "kyu" and "ryu", it's a single syllable, so instead of "kee-yoo" you just say "kyoo"
in general, japanese words are pretty easy, every syllable is pronounced just how it looks so i'd say try and sound out the word and you'll get it

We could be here all day discussing the significance of “acoustics” - it is linked to energy waves, frequency, patterns (similar to fractals), and the human mind’s unique ability to enjoy music. I don’t know if it would really appeal to you, as you sound quite skeptical of most theories that revolve less around mass accepted modern Western science/culture.

There are a lot of theories that suggest that ancient buildings were built by harnessing vibration energy. Vibration energy was used to move and cut the heavy stones needed for the construction of these ancient temples and tunnels and pyramids. The vibration energy was produced by using acoustic tools that produced the vibration frequencies needed to achieve something, which might be the reason for the huge emphases on acoustic and vibration buildings which you ask about in 1:14:00

Cleopatra had children with both Caesar and Mark Anthony. Some people claim that Jesus was the son or descendent of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony's offspring. Being the king of kings came from Cleopatra being the "king" of Egypt and Anthony being the "king" of the eastern Roman empire.

Frequencies are theorized to have real-life effects on people and objects. Scientists, including Tesla, stated that frequencies are possibly the key to manipulating anything in existence. Every object resonates at a specific frequency. If you play that sound loud enough, it can cause the object to crumble (this is how Tesla's earthquake machine worked).

Valuables means of having significant worth
Invaluable means to have worth of such degree as to not be accurately quantified by any relevant metric.
Some thing valuable can have a value assigned to it. Some thing invaluable can’t be given a value. So valuable that it lacks a value. Which is funny when you realize that something valueless despite having no value can still be evaluated and assigned a value of nothing.
So this all means that something invaluable with infinite value has so much value that it’s valueless while something valueless has a value which is infinitely more value then something invaluable with infinite value since it doesn’t have a value.
Yes I had a stroke writing that.

i feel i should comment on every single entries in there. for an example, regarding the crystal skulls :"It has been determined that the skull was carved using Silicon carbide (SiC), also known as carborundum, an abrasive mass-produced from 1893. The skulls examined were manufactured in the mid-19th century or later, almost certainly in Europe, during a time when interest in ancient culture abounded." . it's not up in the air, open to interpretation. that's what's up.
