Absolutely loved joining you on this epic 40-hour train ride across China! 🚄
Who knew that packing for a train trip could be as strategic as planning a space mission, with noodle soups and wet wipes as essentials!? 😄 It's impressive how punctual the train was, arriving earlier than expected-seems like something we could only dream of here in Germnay! Hats off to the train amenities upgrade; that Western-style toilet is a game-changer compared to the ones I know.

    • @OlisBigPicture

Same for me, also safes you a hotel night. However 2 days straight, instead of 6h Flight, is really time consuming. It makes sense to cut the trip into more shorter overnight rides.

There's no hitchhiking culture in China. Look for other ways of travelling.

Public transport is extremely convenient in China. Once you come to a new city by air or train, you can find subways or buses just in the airport and train station. Tickets are cheap, and you will enjoy taking them instead of sitting in a car for a long time. China is so big that many people do not want to waste time on the road when traveling. The high speed rail is the best option between different cities, and the subway is the best choice in the city.

Haha yes, some Chinese friends seeing the videos said.. oh wow I haven't taken this old green trains for a decade. I think for us foreigner it's an nostalgic adventure, while for many locals it's just an old, slow (cheap) way to get around. Nevertheless big fan of this old trains and hope they'll never be retired
