Sixty millions lives were lost in the 2nd w w. This is a recorded history. None can dispute this. Soviet union made highest sacrifices. They had the highest number of casualties. Keeping in view of the miseries suffered by them we should focus on the contents not the technical or other cinematic deficiency. A great work.

The fate of the war was not turned on British and American shipments, but on the fact that the Soviet national economy was effectively converted to war production, and the production plants were relocated to the hinterland. And the Soviet people fought the German fascist land grabbers with their own weapons, not American or British weapons. And these Soviet weapons were produced by Soviet military production.

Dude... Hatred is born out of being formerly occupied by Russians... My father has never had a chance of learning English and he truly loves travelling abroad. All his life he was forced to learn Russian, since that's the language that Russians imposed on Poland. He feels a bit envious of me being the first generation of Polish people who is able to speak English and understand anybody (I currently live in the Philippines with my wife.). 2nd reason is the 50 years of famine that we had from 1939 to 1989 when shops endlessly lacked food, even after you have waited in line for 3 hours. All we could have from the communist government was 1 orange for the whole family once a year, for Christmas. 3rd reason is mass r*pe by Russian soldiers on Polish women on the way to Berlin. My own grandma described to me how she managed to ran away from one Russian soldier. (What she also described is another Russian telling him to stop chasing her, but it doesn't change the terrific scale of Russian r*pes on women at that time, through Warsaw up to Berlin). 4rd reason is being invaded in 1939 and divided between St*alin & H*tler. 5th reason is mass execution in Katyń on thousands of Polish intellectuals (that Russia perceived as a threat).
Don't worry though... We still prefer Russians over Ukrainians. Ukrainians have done something so much worse than all of those 5 reasons. It's better to have a tough love of "the older brother" than somebody who has commited a g*nocide on >120 000 of your people, and who happily celebrates it on countless marches, statues, and monuments in 2023.

Yeah, like the Chancellery was the most quiet and rational place in the world at that moment. According to many battlefield officers who had to come to Berlin in those days and who returned to the front shaking their heads in disbelief, "it is a madhouse over there" in the Fuhrer"s quarters was their comment.
And this Russian Hitler is far more accurate than Bruno Ganz's
