Saying we are going to “Save The Planet” puts ourselves in a position of godlike domination, strength and power, as though we are the heroes, and the planet is the 'helpless maiden' who needs rescuing. The truth is the opposite. We need rescuing. We need rescuing from the 'dualism dream of ourselves' as being separate entities from each other, and the entire Universe.
You have answered and in fact done what has been going through my mind for the longest time. Can a business not be just about money but in fact be something that is yes, profitable but more so, one that is at the core truly about making a difference, making a positive impact to others, being an example, a business that walks the talk and talks about it more to influence others.
I wanna work for this company since i was 15 and found out what sustainability is. They keep making my passion for this planet rise. One day I will accomplish 15-years-old-me dreams.

Patagonia has been an inspiration for me as a designer to keep going even in the face of not being able to align with the idea of commodifying everything to meet the "demands". I believe in the same values as you, which is Purpose over profit and collaboration over competition. We collectively as a species needs to rethink our strategies for how to approach the future without forgetting what it actually means to alive in this world during our miniscule 80 year stint on earth.
i want to watch this video everyday for the rest of my life as a reminder to embrace the exhilaration of life's adventures, joyous or not. i love you, Yvon. you have deeply inspired me. id love to work in your company, if not id build one myself. i love this planet so much too.
