    ABOUT Dr. Katie Woodley - The Natural Pet Doctor
    =====
    Dr. Katis is a small animal integrative veterinarian who developed a passion for natural medicine while I was living in New Zealand. Her vet career was lucky enough to begin in the beautiful country of New Zealand. She was able to see how living off the land by growing our own vegetables and raising our own animals was the way to live the healthiest versions of ourselves. Her pets were lucky to have lots of open space to run around in and were always at the beach or the river.
    When they moved back to the States five years ago, her husband, unfortunately, developed an autoimmune disease. As they researched natural medicine options for him to avoid the horrible side effects of the treatment options his doctors were providing him, Dr. Katie realized that she was doing a disservice to her animal patients by not offering these holistic options to them. She began down the integrative medicine route and has never been happier. Through nutrition, acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, and supplements, every animal can achieve optimal health or feel their best even when they have a chronic illness or disease like cancer. She currently has a certification in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and is continuously learning about the other natural modalities and growing her knowledge base every day!
    She started this business to provide pet parents with more resources for natural medicine advice and care because we need to increase awareness of how amazing natural medicine truly is! Dr. Katie's mission is to ensure that all pet parents have access to herbal medicine, supplementation, and nutritional advice throughout their pet's lifetime. One of her greatest joys is the opportunity to collaborate with both pet parents and other veterinary professionals to ensure access to all available integrative options for pet health care.

    On August 11 of my toy poodles one week anniversary of his death 2023.
    I got a rescue from a foster who believes she came from a puppy mill situation.
    I did a stool sample today at the vet and supposedly she Has caccidia detected and the count is 28.
    She is on a raw species appropriate diet, she drinks fresh coconut water, hemp seed, Chia seeds, pumpkin seeds now I’m grinding it up, coconut oil, kelp powder, some parsley, some cilantro sometimes sardines. She also may have anaemia because Her gums are pale. Here in the Bahamas we only have conventual vets no holistic. Thank you

    I've had a very difficult time with cat diarrhea. And I wanted to pass along a success that might help your followers. May be good video idea. I've been lightly dosing my hoodlums with a Goldenseal/echinacea capsule mixed with kitten milk. I've been mixing it pretty weak. But I've seen a marked reduction in diarrhea. I've even seen tapeworm passed. Their little bottoms are staying cleaner. I'm considering using diatomaceous earth in concert with this but not yet. For my worst cases I mixed 14 ml coconut oil with 2 capsule of the GS/echinacea mix. Shaking it well and dosing 1 ml for a big cat. Thanks for what you do.

    • @2qlrn273

      My Rottie Rose got Giardia, & was diagnosed by her vet (after examining a stool sample from deep within). Was sold a conventional chemical to treat it which Rose adamantly refused to swallow, so I looked it up online. This is how I discovered that it is not only extremely bitter tasting, but also not very effective on Giardia!
      So then I researched to find natural effective treatments, & discovered I had 3 of them in my kitchen already: 1. MSM ; 2. Coconut Oil; 3.GrapeFruit Seed Extract!
      Rose had lost 7 lbs of her 70 lbs. I immediately began feeding her an extra meal per day, & gave her an appropriate dose of all 3 natural Giardia treatments twice daily. By the end of the week she had regained the pounds she'd lost! (My other dog was showing early symptoms, so I treated her, too, & her symptoms also disappeared.
      Knowing what I know now, I would try getting the same results without using the GrapeFruit Seed Extract, because it kills the beneficial bacteria in the gut.

    So much amazing info in this video, I've watched it several times, thank you! I own a regenerative farm so I feed my dogs homemade, mostly raw, food from our meat (including organs and bones), eggs, and veggies and they get a couple supplements as well (probiotics, fish oil). They are happy and healthy dogs. They are also ranch dogs and that comes with lots of exposure to poop, dead things, and compost. My first dog (now 4) got a monthly dewormer (Interceptor Plus) because I didn't know what else to do until this fall when I stopped doing it. My new pup, 5 months, had pyrantal a couple times but I don't have him on a monthly. The dosages I heard you mention of ParaFree, Digize, etc. were all for treatment of worms but what about prevention? Obviously diet and lifestyle is #1 but my dogs are definitely high risk so I'm curious about using ParaFree as a prevention versus treatment. Anyone doing this?

( dont worry I already plan on the TNR and finding homes for kittens) but in the meantime...I really think they may have worms. Is there something I can do..like 1 u said here...that u would recommend for 4 week old kittens and mom. I don't have alot of $..I looked into the medical and to rework is sooo expensive! Should I just get pumpkin seeds and crush and put into their food( kittens are all eating wet and dry food!). I just want to make sure they get off to a good healthy start!! Thank u!!

I have taken her to the vet 4 times now and all they prescribe is the same medication fenbendazole and metronidazole but that hasn't helped, and I feel desperate at this point. She has lost weight and has soft stools. I wanted to try one of the remedies mentioned which one would be best to try the Garlic or the pumpkin seeds. I have also tried to prevent her from getting it again I pick up her stools right way have clean water for her wash her bed constantly and I feel like Shes not getting better.

I have five cats and I don't let him go outside at all cuz I don't want them to get parasites are sick my dogs I walk I watch where they go and I treat them with a flea medication and take medication so the best thing is prevention
