Love your videos, man! Curious if you’d be willing to do a video on a basic, starting point Cubase mixing template that you’d consider somewhat “safe” for modern metal production to point folks in the right direction?
I’ve been realizing how much of a difference is made just in the routing and gain staging before any real processing is done, so a video going through your routing, gain staging, and approach to processing (the general “why” you went for a specific plugin or effect in the chain) would be very helpful for those of us who aren’t quite as advanced as yourself yet!

I'm amazed at how proficient you are at programming (and, of course, mixing) the Hydra. Have you considered creating a Hydra Midi pack? I think that would fill a gap in the market.

Great work! I also write metal using only midi instruments. I'm by no means as great at production as you, but I wanted to recommend the SoundIron Axe Machina if you haven't tried it yet. I own the Hydra and Axe Machina, and despite being sampled with a 7 string (Kiesel Aries), I find that, for me, it sounds better at lower tunings better than the Hydra. I've been messing around with diff techniques with those sample librarys + Gojira plugin and it seems that the Axe Machina consistently has more balls that I find missing from even the Hydra. EDIT: sorry. i forgot. .... thall.
