    ▬ A NOTE ON USING LED LIGHTS AS HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENTS ▬
    Aim your headlights AT LEAST once a year and ALWAYS after replacing the bulbs.
    If the cutoff is bad or you can’t aim them accurately or the light output scatters, it is NOT safe to use. Try a different style of LED or one with a lower output that will be more compatible with your light housing. See my other videos for more reviews.

    1) @4:22 Since we have very good LEDs now wish we get SAE & DOT approved LED bulbs to be used as low beams on public roads.
    2) @8:24 I also wish you have the ability to test the light out put distance using cones or something to show how far and wide the light output is. Many claim that H9 halogen conversion will out perform H11 LEDs how far the light would reach and how wide the light pattern is.
    3) @8:24 May be also measure the glare over the cutoff line compared to stock H11 halogen.

    As someone who works in the car electronics industry the best LED lights I've encountered are the Lucas Lighting L5 series lights. • @AltruisticWarrior
      @AltruisticWarrior 8 месяцев назад

      Holy crap that's expensive. I imagine the average consumer is looking to spend no more than the rough cost of what high end halogens cost. In my case, the halogen bulbs keep burning out. This is probably due to the nature of my work between running my headlights up to 16hrs a day and a significant amount of offroading(vibration). Obviously LED are the best choice to being resilient to vibration... was a lifesaver with bulbs by front doors years ago. Used to replace a regular incandescent every 4mo or so until those babies came out. But yah, need something for work that's good at helping me spot hundreds of manholes at night with long run times and resilient to vibration. Just not 450 bucks worth. My boss is pretty generous but I'd have a heck of a time justifying that price even to someone as reckless with money as him. 😅

    If I want an led bulbs for low beams that we use them the most everyday or night. An external driver is a better one. For high beams I can use an external driver too. But with all in one internal driver is better choice for that for high beams and fog light use.
    But the Lasfit LA plus is one of the only led bulbs that has, the lowest temperature and performs much better than the rest of the all in one unit led bulbs out there, and the most reliable as well.
    And that is the LA plus. I still believe those are excellent for low beams compare to an led bulb with external driver. The heat dissipation is remarkable from LA plus.

I have projectors for low beams, and reflectors for high in a 2021 Ford EcoSport SE. What about the anti-flicker wiring? See...I know nothing of this stuff, but after acquiring this vehicle...the headlights are just too dim. I had a friend ask if my lights were even on! For ur low if u have a separate low beam and high beam.
      I would recommend Auxito - M3 for low beam since the the heat is very cooled. And Lasfit LAair for the high power version. And because the heat builts up higher.
      121 degrees Fahrenheit for the auxito M3 because it makes 2250 lumens per bulb.
      And Lasfit - LAair makes 26 watts per bulb. Making between 2600-2700 lumens per bulb, and heat when up to 235 degrees Fahrenheit.
      The cooler the led bulb makes, the more efficient it will take and it will last in the long run.

    Auxito - Q16 vs. Lasfit - LAair
    20 feet
    Reflector headlight
    3000+ lux vs. 2600+ lux
    After 27 minutes for retention and heat management
    Q16 retains 70% vs. LAair retains 78%
    Q16 temperature built up to 168* degrees Fahrenheit
    LAair temperature built up to 235* degrees Fahrenheit.
    Price and warranty:
    Q16 $86 bucks a pair and 2 year warranty.
    And LAair $75 bucks a pair and 1 year warranty.
    Both are very very competitive to each other.
    I truly thought the Q16 was hotter. But I was wrong.
    For Q16 that makes 42.8 watts per bulb and produce 168 degrees Fahrenheit is not that bad at all.
    It’s on a warmer side.
    While lasfit LAair is 235* degrees Fahrenheit. That’s quite on the hot side.
    I’m running lasfit LAair 9005 high beams led bulbs.
    I don’t use my high beams often except, every early in the morning, I always take the same direction from home to work, and always start with the curvy road with forest, with no light post for the next 2 minutes. And after that. That’s it.
    I use them barely.
    So these produce 2680 lumens per bulb, and over 2000+ lux on high beam reflector is still amazing bright and I love it.
    I hate my orientation. It’s not the led bulb design. It’s how it came from the factory.
    I been told and want to know, that Q16 is indeed adjustable, I say that because there’s a Philip screw right by the yellow rubber grommet.
    And they even have it on 9005 high beams bulbs. But the it’s half block. And it looked like it can still manage to adjust.
    If the Q16 all in one unit led bulb is actually adjustable, I’m definitely gettin the Q16.
    Not just because it’s a lot brighter than my LAair. But because of the orientation of the led bulb.
    The beam pattern, the brightness, and even the hotspot. I was very surprise how it was still usable light output. I still get a nice hotspot with a nice wide spread of light output.
    It acts like a combo beam of spot and wide. My led bulbs on high beams are position on the passenger side is 7-2 o’clock, and the driver side is position at 10-4 o’clock of the led chips facing.
    I hated lol but it performs well so no complains.
    Still, like I said if the 9005 Q16 is indeed adjustable because I can see the tiny hole has Philips screw, I’m definitely getting that for not just for brighter lights, but fix the orientation of the led bulb.
    I’m still rockin my LAair 9005.
    But I want the Q16.
    As soon as I found out if it is.
    Definitely buying it.

    How does the Lasfit LA Air compare to the LA Plus? When I spoke with Lasfit tech support, they recommended LA Plus over the LA Air, which I thought was odd since the Air is newer and stronger.

    • @toyotabrony
      @toyotabrony 4 месяца назад

      Because the Lasfit - LA plus is more reliable.
      According to bulbfacts.
      The LA plus is 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
      That’s the biggest difference.
      The downside, I also spoke with lasfit.
      And LA plus will be replace this year to LAair.
      But Lasfit already redesign the LAair. And it’s more beefier, larger cooling fan, twin copper heat pipes. And hopefully it can be almost as cool of the temperature as the LA plus.
      The only downside, is it’s an all in one unit. No more 360 adjustable collar.
      Which is sad because it’s very handy to some cars with halogen bulbs that had offset connectors.
      Like my 2015 lifted Scion xB 9005 high beam is off, and my brother in law’s 2005 Toyota sienna, both 9006 low and 9005 high are off angle.
      The LC plus and LA plus is a lifesaver for that.
      For ability to adjust the orientation for the perfect beam pattern.

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  8 месяцев назад

      Common question, but no...you should not drill holes. It is air tight for a reason...which is to keep junk out of your headlight assembly. It doesn't need "fresh air" as a halogen bulb is 3x hotter than the hottest LED replacement I have tested.

      @@CarLightReviews Using your spreadsheet to shop for LED headlights is incredible! For me personally, one of the most important data sets in your spreadsheet is heat management along with temperature @ 27 mins.
      Love your reviews and efforts. You certainly are a treasure in the wild west of LED tech. Would like to point out that though halogens are 3x hotter, they also do not require a fan to preserve delicate chips and circuit, but LED apparently do require cooling hence the fans. Maybe not a good idea to make direct comparisons of halogen heat and heat diffusion to LED heat and diffusion.

      Remove the existing lightbulb that's in it and look at the designation on it. It should show the size. Or, consult your owner manual.

    When are you going to test Canbus compatibility?

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  7 месяцев назад +1

      The answer to that is never.🤣 And the reason why is that it is more dependent upon the vehicle than the light being introduced to it. Some vehicles are more sensitive to aftermarket headlight upgrades and others. I wish I had the ability to test every car on the planet, but for now I am just one man. Sorry, this is not the answer you were looking for.🫤

      @@CarLightReviews I completely understand and I do think that despite no having access to every car I'm the market you might be able still to test it. If, for example, you measure any light resistance and publish it, owners of vehicle with canbus might be able to look up in the vehicle data sheet if they are compatible. Another test that might be easy to add to your suite is the flashing error some canbus car have with LED lights. If your power supply permit square wave output you can publish the frequency in witch the light bulbs output stays constant. Those 2 test can help a lot of modern car owners make informed purchase decision. And by the way, that you for your time, response and work helping people get better lights

      Also that 40,000 per set lumens is total bs. That’s hot real numbers.
      And 240 watts per set is way to much power to handle.
      Wait til car light reviews made an observation, and it will tell us the real wattage. If it’s like 60 watts per bulbs that mean it’s 6000 lumens per bulb.
      That’s how it works. Not 40,000. Because that’s on led light bar territory.

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  2 месяца назад

      I don't have to check, I mention this in every video I release. I put this in the description:
      ▬ A NOTE ON USING LED LIGHTS AS HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENTS ▬
      Aim your headlights AT LEAST once a year and ALWAYS after replacing the bulbs.
      If the cutoff is bad or you can’t aim them accurately or the light output scatters, it is NOT safe to use. Try a different style of LED or one with a lower output that will be more compatible with your light housing. See my other videos for more reviews.
      When I use the word “headlights”, I am referring to legal off-road use or fog light use only as replacing factory halogen bulbs with LEDs for headlights in the US is not currently legal nor a DOT approved practice. This video is only for informational purposes for using LED lights legally. Check your local laws and regulations.
