Grizzled, 67 yo, ex-military man speaking here of the marvelous work by this fine literary artist. What a wonder are Ms. Austen's stories. Above all, I am struck (and appalled) by the paltry options left for women of the day. No hope of any meaningful work, the Bennet ladies are, in the main, left with: a. marrying into wealth; b. inheritance; c. a life of poverty. To women, very little above disgrace, is available. And God-forbid a means-providing patriarch dies. In P and P, the possible death of Mr. Bennet has potentially catastrophic consequences for the Bennet ladies. What a world, and JA explores it expertly. Bravo!
I completely disagree with your judgement here. First of all you don’t have to marry rich, marrying a simple working man, as in example for Eliza’s friend, was perfectly fine for her. Another option is work, if they have completed education, (described well in Jane Eyre), they could work as a governess or even run such a school. I assume if they could inherit property, means they can be a business owners as well. Considering the most common practice- to stay at home with children do you not think it is a valuable engagement, especially if it is well esteemed in a society? From what we have seen in the story, women were fully respected, much more than they are today. And free to act as they please.
@mykhailohohol8708 there is much I could disagree with here, but not enough space. Just this: Harriet's eventual marriage to Mr. Martin wasn't considered perfectly fine and that was a plot point of the story.
@@inamorata966 I'm somewhat lost, who are these people you speak of? I was talking about Elizabeth's friend Charlotte Lukas who married mr. Collins. Making a point that one did not have to marry rich to feel comfortable in life.
I would have spent three months trying to read this by myself. The way you read makes it very easy to understand the connotations and innuendos in the novel. Thanks!
Awful Felafel ... I've read the book at least 6 times and watched the original movie probably as many times. I first read it in high school when trying to find something to read in the school library. I had read everything of interest to me so decided to find the biggest books possible since they didn't take long to read. The fattest book I could find was the Count of Monte Cristo! Fortuitous method to find good books to read. Another one was "War and Peace."
I’m reading this right now and I’m in 6th grade and i had a little trouble reading it even though it’s my reading level (12th grade) and this is so my much better thanks you 🙏🏻
I listened to this probably once a week, it helps me fall asleep. Karen Savage reads all of Jane Austen's books and they're all free under RUclips. She is amazing
Second that! One of the few readers on Libervox who reads competently and is actually a pleasure to listen to. I wish she would read Jane Eyre, she'd be perfect. I'd gladly pay to listen to her readings 👍🏼
Oh, god, yes. I hate to criticize, because the woman did the reading for no pay, and I'm grateful for that, but between the overacting of certain parts (particularly Rochester) the strange accents, and the mispronounced words, it was really frustrating.
I’m reading this, listening in my case, for my English class. I watched the 2005 movie with Kiera Knightley, and dreaded reading it afterwards. So I started an audio book and hated everyone besides this. It fits so well. Especially after seeing the movie.
This is my first time with an audiobook and it just set the bar too high! Karen Savage you are an excelent reader and i love the way you characterize the different voices!
GREAT reader. Excellent tempo, excellent volume moderation and breath regulation, excellent characterizations. Her portrayal of Collins's pompous, drawling pontificating is hilarious. English accent of course fits perfectly with an English tale.
The name means 'pure, clear' a subordinate of the word Katherine. In Hebrew a 'ray of light' or 'sunbeam' any wonder in these days of glorified ignorance, such a name is persecuted. It is also the title of an ethnic group in Burma who's base also an ancient culture. Name perjury reflects the bias of those reporting falsity of temperament. Quite ridiculous the followers of silly trends.
The irony is amazing too. This takes place when “trifling colds” had a much higher chance of killing you. Even stubbing your toe hard enough could get it infected and get you very sick.
I was quite surprised by Mrs. Bennet comment. People CAN BE KILLED by a cold, especially when medical advancement and availability was so poor at the time the story played out.
Just a heads up... if you address your potential wife as “my dear cousin” while proposing to her, it’s probably not a marriage that’s set in the stars... Edit: I’m aware that incest was common back then, but for the sake of comedy I elected to ignore that fact and y’all are annoying
It sounds strange now but marriage among cousins was normal and not frowned upon back in the day, it's still practiced in some parts of the world. My grandmother's sister married her cousin but two of the children were born with mental disabilities.
I just listened to mansfield park and it's so funny where she explains isn't it only natural to fall for your cousin who raised you from age ten... you're so similar... I mean I guess 😂
I can’t be the only one that low-key died of happiness when at the end of the book they addressed Jane as Mrs. Bingly and Elizabeth as Mrs. Darcy. As if they couldn’t cement the cuteness any further!
This is my first time through the audiobook and the Mr. Collins scenes are SO much worse 😭 you don’t realize until you hear it how LONG he waxes on embarrassingly 💀
@@bgreen7286 yes, they captured his character perfectly (1995 series are superior to any other adaptation so it’s not surprising) but still he wasn’t talking THAT much in it. dude is so tiring to listen to lol
This reader, Karen Savage, is one of the very best, if not the best, I've ever had the pleasure of listening too. I'm including all the paid audiobooks I've ever "read". Excellent!
Why I did not ever finish this book in English lit class I will never know. The antics of Mr. Collins is especially hilarious, and Mr. Darcy's agony in wooing Elizabeth is gold!
It’s interesting to see the use of ‘condescension’ as a natural part of someone of the upper class being civil to someone beneath them. Whereas now the word has evolved to have a negative connotation of arrogance & rudeness in modern society.
cometdog I agree. I think it still had a negative connotation at the time, but accomplished people in England were taught to uphold composure in public at all costs so they’d rarely speak on it (VERY different from modern society)
There was an enormous disparity in wealth, and most people were dependent on the good will and patronage of the upper classes. This power often corrupted many of the wealthy, leading them to become inconsiderate and callous in their dealings with the poor. Thus amiable and kindly behavior, by a wealthy person when dealing with his dependets was considered to be praise worthy.
Even a modestly wealthy household such as that of the Bennets would have at least half a dozen domestic servants. Their land would be cultivated by tenant farmers.
This book is very memorable to me. English isn't my first language. This is the book that introduce me into English novels that I've never imagined I'll ever read (and enjoy). It changes my life for the better. Since then I learn to love English language even more. I used to have dictionary beside me while reading this. It's been 9 years now. Before, this book introduced me to a great hobby and self improvement. Now, when I'm about to try audio book (to cure my addiction to smartphone and screens which is bad to eyes), I met with this book again! 😭❤️
hello Catlady. I admire you greatly for attempting this book as a English learner. I am an English speaker learning other languages and I would not dream of this difficulty. I hope I become brave like you. But countless of us love this book. The love story is Number One, the characters are very funny. I wonder how you can face it though, the speeches are extraordinary and antique. When Elizabeth is upset with Darcy she talks like a dictionary, not like a girl!
Karen Savage, where ever you are, you have done a cracking job with this audiobook. You've restored my faith in librovox, cheers! Can you read all the Austen, and then the Brontes pretty please?
Many thanks to Karen Savage for one of my favorite renditions of any Jane Austen books! Your pacing, accents and character voices are wonderful and appropriate, as is your phrasing, which is perfect for the era. Looking forward to hearing other audiobooks read by you. Well done!
Me, during the first chapter: I wonder if if Karen Savage can make her voice sound even more snobbish. This whole audio-book: *exists* Also me, 9 hours in: Perfection.
thank god for this- for some reason recently i’ve found that i can’t sit and read a book for more than 5 minutes at a time without getting distracted or having to reread a whole page. this helps a lot
The stunning characters of Miss Elizabeth and Miss Jane are so lovely and the former one is so profound in her philosophical speculations. I couldn't spare my generous love and wish of eternal peace for Miss Jane Austen, RIP.

Karen Savage, I can't thank you enough for this outstanding performance in reading this novel. You've been my companion in reading this novel with your lovely voice. Thank you
I listened to this as I was sleeping last night, then proceeded to fall asleep and wake up again around 1, still listening to this! I had even dreamed of it !!
With the whole Bridgerton trend going I've explored the modern historical romance writers and been reading SO many of those books. But, I'm here to say that Jane Austen is our queen. ❤️
I started listening to this audiobook and when my husband realized I had to stay in RUclips to listen he signed me up on an audiobook app. I started listening to this same book with a different reader and I hated it. My opinion is no one else’s voice or manner in reading this would be half as good as Karen Savage.
Chapter 39 was just... wow. Karen Savage did a wonderful job with bringing the characters to life and this is apparent the most at this chapter. She did Lydia’s conversation in the carriage with such accuracy that I really did want Lydia to just shut up! Savage!
I wanted to share a tip for those of us who hear "slow" (auditory processing challenges). The reader is excellent but she speaks too quickly for me to process, particularly because the sentences are long. If you click the gear button, you can modifiy the playback speed of thsi video. This allows me to slow down the narration to the level I can process. I love this RUclips feature!
I absolutely agree with you, Mary. I slowed it to 75%,and my enjoyment was wholly improved. Otherwise, the reading is excellent;so far, the only mistake I have found is in the pronunciation of INqueries, rather than the correct English , ENQUIRIES, but this is a small thing. I am enjoying it immensely.
I love how Mary just disappears after the family embarrasses themselves at the ball. It's like Austen forgot there were supposed to be five sisters and just mentioned the four throughout.
@alison webster I've read this book twelve times, it's one of my favorites. Mary is mentioned here and there, but mostly as an afterthought. Lydia and Kitty and Jane and Elizabeth are the main focus of the story. It makes me wonder why Jane chose to give the Bennetts five daughters if we were only going to hear about four of them. This is why people complain that Jane uses too many characters.
I think she is just always in her room, studying, reading or whatever. It was said at the beginning, that she likes to do so. Thus, Mary is kind of the opposite of Kitty and Lydia, whose highest aim is to marry well. I must admit this seems highly sympathetic to me!
It is a known way to write reserved characters, we are supposed to notice her being overshadowed at every turn by her prettier sisters, thus rarely mentioned.
i think it fits the background of the family, that there is five daughters and no son, after they tried hard to have a son, and adding to the desperation to get all daughters married. Also it fits Mary’s character to be not around her family much since she is so different to them. 🤷🏼♀️
It’s about how she always gets overlooked- she probably prefer it that way as well considering she like to read her books in the solidarity of her chambers- cause of her ‘prettier’ and more outgoing sisters.
Same! It really is timeless and this narrator is so good that I've listened to this reading multiple times. If you like her voice, she has narrated a few of Jane Austen's other novels!
I D G A F very true, and it’s hard to not be charmed by the real life wickams. that’s why it’s so important not to make snap judgements and have the patience and faith in humanity that jane does.
Stop trying to find the Mr. Darcy’s, we often go back to what we know and that is toxic to us. If you’re in a friendship hoping it leads to a relationship and it feels like all the rest then walk a way. Consider this, people who are a bit more reserved may prove more fruitful and they may feel different or challenging. As a guy, I’ve found that I repeat my mistakes when looking for relationships. End up with something that’s been before.
NathanMN exactly!! don’t go looking for a specific person, even a relationship. just be open and treat everyone with kindness. also, a guy who reads pride and prejudice is a very attractive trait lmaooo
I've spent my weekend listening to this audiobook and embroidering. I almost feel like maybe I should put on a long-sleeved dress and really get into the spirit of things.
This audiobook saved my life as a theatre kid. I had procrastinated reading the book until a week before the date of my audition for the play, even though I had two copies of the book, and this audiobook helped me get through the book quickly.
I love listening to this while doing chores. I don't even mind getting stuff done, because of this wonderful reading of a delightfully entertaining book. Thank you, Karen Savage!
I washed dishes, baked chicken , started a pot roast in the crock pot, and stripped a ton of dry mint leaves off their stems to store for winter. Without this audiobook I would have suffered.
I never preferred audio books because the voice is usually so robotic but the way u read it adapting to every characters softness or superiority or their nature is excellent it feels exactly how I would read in my mind u are amazing your voice I really nice for narration seriously love the work would certainly read other audio book too
Wonderful reader 😊 I really like this last chapter, where Ms. Austen gives us a glimpse of the Darcy's married life. Most romances, and all film adaptations of P&P, just take us up to the wedding. It's enough to let us assume they're happily ever after, but I love her generosity in giving us playful, clever confirmation.
After years of watching the BBC adaptation, I am finally actually going to listen to the book, because my crush reminds me so much of Lizzie and I want to understand her personality better
This book has one of the most satisfying endings of all the books I have read. The fact that they overcame so many obstacles and true character is the basis of their affection and happiness is so wonderful that it lights up my heart! Do I dare to hope for the same? Jane Austen does inspire it. Though she didn't end up with a lover of her own, her encouragement to thousands of others is truely inspiring and the lessons she teaches worth reflection and application. I have come to value real character in the men around me and at least in part I can thank Jane Austen for that. Maybe the good sense she inspires will also aid me one day in acheiving a happy marriage. Maybe I will end up with a country Clergyman like so many of her heroines have. ❤😂
I had read this book when I was in school. But i could never get over it.From a week I watching all movie series of the adaptation of this novel. The 1995 BBC series of Pride and Prejudice is the best.Colin Firth and Jennifer have played Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet perfectly. And I am listening to this audio again which is amazing ❤️❤️❤️

Though I'm not particularly fond of this type of literary genre, I must admit that I can't stop listening to this audio book now and again. Because to my taste, the gal who reads this execute a brilliant performance. I'd like to be able to pronounce so well, to own that awesome accent (quite impossible since I'm but an English learner). It's just the epitome of elegance of the English language. Superb!!
I absolutely love this book by Jane Austin. I have read it several times over the years and as an audiobook, Miss Savage is an excellent reader to this book. She makes listening, very enjoyable.
I'm only to chapter 26 thus far, but this literary work is so very enjoyable! The humor is balanced so nicely with true observations about human behavior and character. The line just read, after Charotte has been married and Elizabeth is exchanging letters with her, Elizabeth continues corespondence despite loss of intimacy as friends, writing not for as things were, but "in the memory of how things once were." I've lived in such a manner for the past 8 years, I have relocated to a new abode after dwelling there for only 1-2 years, and though very intimate friendships were made in while in each place, there is a chord that is strained if not snapped after a certain period of length. Try to remain in touch as you may, it is more for the "memory of what was" more than the present state of being, for they have learned to live without you, and you them, sad indeed as it is.
RUclips just recommended this to me because I like to listen to audio books/stories to go to sleep. This is _PERFRCT._ A full 10 hours? of Pride and Prejudice? read excellently with so much passion? FOR FREE?? FREE??

Karen Savage is brilliant! She nailed the fretful tone of Mrs. Bennet and the pomp of Mr. Collins. It was almost as though she was mocking Mr. Collins as she read his lines, and that was hilarious. I listened to this twice as a part of studying for my class, and it was great every time!
I very much relate to Elisabeth. She struggles against a society of often unhappy monetary-means based marriages. She is understandably prejudiced. Darcy is also understandedly proud. Love is the only thing that could destroy these walls
And I relate as well, that even in these times I (we) face prejudice and bias, I face it as a woman in a corporate/tech world - it sux! I shall take strength in LB and apply in my own life! Woo hoo
I didn't like the way she didn't like Mr Darcy at first. Someone who wants a love marriage is understandably relatable. But the rest of her perspectives were bs.
I'm at 7:26:27. I'll pick up where I left off tomorrow. This is awesome. The readers voice is pleasant and I'm loving how close the 5 hour movie/show is to the book. I'm impressed. I'll definitely be listening to this again. ❤️

This is the first time I read and listen to an English book and fortunately I was introduced this one. Your voice is great, it's exactly what I want my English voice to be like.
This novel is the only one I’ve ever read where every word is exactly where it needs to be, nothing is out of place and everything makes perfect logical sense through that flawless delivery. People who resent its popularity straight up just don’t understand what makes it so great. It’s almost difficult to succinctly explain, because it should be apparent. No stone is left unturned here. It’s truly remarkable.

This is so, so incredible. I took to the internet with an unquenchable need for the original story after I've seen the remake featuring zombies, too far away from actual bookstores etc and too excited to wait for time to come to buy the book. Of course I knew a full, free version of it would obviously not be available, but I wanted whatever the internet has to offer nonetheless. And here this jewel popped up. It is the best thing to possibly ever happen to me, being exposed to Austen by such a lovely, mellifluous voice with perfect pacing and quite a funny voice for Mr Collins, among others. So thanks, to whoever this brilliance was the cause of. (Also in unrelated news please pray for my grades as I haven't paid the upcoming exams as much attention as I was supposed to for the last two days .....)
This is an absolutely magnificent reading of an absolutely immortal novel. Seriously, a model of how to do an audiobook. Brava, bravissima, mille grazie, bis.
I saw the movie about 15 years ago, never read it until now, reads very much like the movie, good film adaptation. The feeling reading was same as watching, the title could easily be Mr. Darcey and Elizabeth, the story around those 2 is top notch reading, great character development with Darcey's letter but rest of the novels characters good but a different level. Anyone else feel Jane focusing around them is what makes the book a classic?
I read this book over 40 years ago and I still remembered the letter Mr. Darcy writes. Letter writing is an art the British cultivated for centuries. Wondrous.

Agreed!
I’m reading this right now and I’m in 6th grade and i had a little trouble reading it even though it’s my reading level (12th grade) and this is so my much better thanks you 🙏🏻

IKR!!!
I’m reading this, listening in my case, for my English class. I watched the 2005 movie with Kiera Knightley, and dreaded reading it afterwards. So I started an audio book and hated everyone besides this. It fits so well. Especially after seeing the movie.

"People dont die over trifling colds."
Sweats in 2020/21
The irony is amazing too. This takes place when “trifling colds” had a much higher chance of killing you. Even stubbing your toe hard enough could get it infected and get you very sick.
I WAS THINKING THIS LOL
@@mckenzie2423 lol exactly its quite bizarre but I guess the statistics and news of death or sickness wasn’t spread so much as it is now
I was quite surprised by Mrs. Bennet comment. People CAN BE KILLED by a cold, especially when medical advancement and availability was so poor at the time the story played out.
@@TLinnNguyen yeah i always felt like this comment by mrs Bennet was a testament to her stupidity
Just a heads up... if you address your potential wife as “my dear cousin” while proposing to her, it’s probably not a marriage that’s set in the stars...
Edit: I’m aware that incest was common back then, but for the sake of comedy I elected to ignore that fact and y’all are annoying
😂😂
It sounds strange now but marriage among cousins was normal and not frowned upon back in the day, it's still practiced in some parts of the world. My grandmother's sister married her cousin but two of the children were born with mental disabilities.
I just listened to mansfield park and it's so funny where she explains isn't it only natural to fall for your cousin who raised you from age ten... you're so similar... I mean I guess 😂

Karen savage does do amazing reading. The anne of green gables series that she reads is sooooooo good.
And Mrs Bennett is so much worse too!!!
I noticed that too!
I'd skim through them when reading, but this reader is too good for that, so I never noticed the degree of pontificating 😂
David Bamber in the 1995 mini series perfectly captured that mix of obsequiousness ,pomposity and stupidity.

Why I did not ever finish this book in English lit class I will never know. The antics of Mr. Collins is especially hilarious, and Mr. Darcy's agony in wooing Elizabeth is gold!
Ohhh. So sad! But, happily, you found your way to it again!
Nice Name!
It comes down to the same meaning.
It was a religious duty iimposed upon in required of sharing blessings. Much of today's wealth has no accountability, due to intense pride.
I love this! Happy reading 📚 😊

The reader is excellent but she speaks too quickly for me to process, particularly because the sentences are long. If you click the gear button, you can modifiy the playback speed of thsi video. This allows me to slow down the narration to the level I can process. I love this RUclips feature!
What ‘gear’ button? Where is it? Not that I want a slow reader/‘absorber’ I love this being so fast - just my own normal reading speed!
@@margaretlavender9647 , if you click on the top right corner of the video, ie 3 dots, a menu drops down..you can choose the playback speed
Thank you for the tip. Yes, I tend to agree. She’s just a wee bit too fast for me to easily follow.
It’s about how she always gets overlooked- she probably prefer it that way as well considering she like to read her books in the solidarity of her chambers- cause of her ‘prettier’ and more outgoing sisters.
the way she does Mr Collins is immaculate
This is my 8th or 9th time listening to this book. It’s timeless and a true inspiration
Same! It really is timeless and this narrator is so good that I've listened to this reading multiple times. If you like her voice, she has narrated a few of Jane Austen's other novels!
I love how you actually know what the characters are thinking .
Ugh why is my life so full of Collins and Wickams? I need a Bingly or even a Darcy
Question is are YOU an Elizabeth or are you a Ms. Bingly?
You can't spot a Mr. Darcy by first meeting, just like how Elizabeth can't. If you think you do... well, that's a Mr. Wickham, not a Mr. Darcy.

This is the first time I have heard an audiobook and to be honest I have been so impressed thank you
Wonderful reader 😊 I really like this last chapter, where Ms.
If there is one good thing about this quarantine.. it’s that I get to listen to this book for the first time!
Karen Savage wherever you are: you rock

I absolutely love this book by Jane Austin. I have read it several times over the years and as an audiobook, Miss Savage is an excellent reader to this book. She makes listening, very enjoyable.
I normally hate audible books,
but this lady does a wonderful job.
Listening to this makes me want to send flowers to Karen Savage.

Woo hoo
😊
I didn't like the way she didn't like Mr Darcy at first. Someone who wants a love marriage is understandably relatable. But the rest of her perspectives were bs.
I'm at 7:26:27. I'll pick up where I left off tomorrow. This is awesome. The readers voice is pleasant and I'm loving how close the 5 hour movie/show is to the book. I'm impressed. I'll definitely be listening to this again. ❤️
i've always loved austen but this is the first time i can read this book. before i couldn't bear it, i thought it sounded to old-fashioned. now i'm 23, i feel like i've matured more and more this past year.
isn't this just the best story ever! *swoons*
Yes old fashioned as it has no sensual explanation ;) to feed ur frustration
sara khan of course it is old fashioned it was written in the regency era
Karen savage narrated all the Anne of green gables books as well. She is a TEXAN. Impressive accent work.
Really???
I adored her Anne of Green Gables!
What!? I just stumbled upon this! I can't wait to start on that series again. It's always been a favorite 😍. It's like finding a treasure ❤
I listened to her 4-7 of Anne of Green Gables!
My bookmark: 4:02:00
3:59:00 vanish every painful thought
4:02:00 she started to consider going with greater pleasure (when you make yourself excited about somwthing you dread doing)
Chapter 25: "violent love"
The Best Ever Version and adaptation made! 1995 - Beautifully and Perfectly done. Magnificent actors with their very high level of excellence in portraying all their roles individually and collaborating as group performance overall is superb!
The soundtrack and costumes were masterly done and magnificent which bring us to the regency era enormously and undeniably the best and great experience and feelings while watching this masterpiece interpretation of the great Ms. Jane Austen literary masterpiece of all time.
Loving it so much and watching repeatedly the whole series almost everyday! Well done to all and hope to find similar story in the near future!
Magnificent and Superb Adaptation!! Thank You so much!!
Just finished this book. Thank you to Karen Savage for such a nice reading. The characters were portrayed well, and her clarity of expression made the satirical sections all the more hilarious, even ridiculous, and the acting was quite subtle, but genuine.
Excellent narrator. It seems the British are the best.
ALBERTEACHER FROM BILINGUAL COLOMBIA THANKING THE AUTHOR, EDITOR AND AUDIO BOOKS FOR THIS WONDERFUL RENDITION OF PRIDE AND PREJUDICE BY MS. AUSTEN. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT WAY FOR US FOREIGNERS TO PRACTICE ENGLISH BY LISTENING AS OFTEN AS WE HAVE THE TIME TO DO SO. THANKS AGAIN, AND PLEASE KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK.
The last comment was a year ago, so let me continue with the praise for Karen Savage's delightful reading of this beloved classic. Ms. Savage, you have done justice to the story and characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed your rendition. Thank you! I hope you are healthy and happy during this time of Covid. Please consider how much joy you have given to so many who have been in quarantine during this time!
I lov lov love this book so much! Thank you for this wonderful book! I am unable to sleep unless this book is playing. The reader voice is so soothing!!😊
Never been so hooked to an audiobook, karen savage is an amazing reader
I saw the movie about 15 years ago, never read it until now, reads very much like the movie, good film adaptation. The feeling reading was same as watching, the title could easily be Mr. Darcey and Elizabeth, the story around those 2 is top notch reading, great character development with Darcey's letter but rest of the novels characters good but a different level. Anyone else feel Jane focusing around them is what makes the book a classic?
I read this book over 40 years ago and I still remembered the letter Mr. Darcy writes. Letter writing is an art the British cultivated for centuries. Wondrous.
This video just saved me from
my 5 1/2hr layover!! I would have died of boredom waiting alone at the airport, thank you thank you for uploading it!! :) I read the book every year but first time in audio book and I’m hooked!
Oh my god the reader has done such an amazinggggg job. I am a bookoholic but never liked any audio book other than this. The reader has done such an amazing job. Lady you made the story soooo interesting. Loved it. Great job
May I ask if this is the posh accent?
Excellent reading-The different voices helped me keep the chracters straight.
I love the readings of Karen Savage. She is tremendously talented.
Her reading is amazing and don't let me get started with the British accent
She even nailed the different expression of the characters
@@redballoon5024 yeah right
Karen Savage does such a wonderful job with Austen's prose. I love this audiobook.
im literally halfway through and i wanna CRYYYY just because its halfway done
DARCY'S LETTER IS JUST
i first watched hank green's adaptation, then p&p&zombies, then the 2005 adaptation. im so glad im finally 'reading' the book! will watch the 1995 version after this :3
MRS GARDINER IS THE BEST WOMAN EVER OMG I LOVE THE GARDINERS
awwww yisssss that was great ❤❤
@@shakibzz I'm very fond of her, too. :-)
@@shakibzz Mrs. Gardiner was such a shipper of the couple, I love it so much. She's more of a mother than Mrs. Bennet is to Elizabeth.
Not that anyone will see this but, I have major concentration issues. I find it hard to concentrate on reading or even remember what I am reading on the pages before me and the amount of times I have tried to read this book and failed will astound you. But this audiobook may have just saved me from failing english. Thank you so much, if you are reading this
Omg for realll😌🤪🤪✨
Just finished listening to all 61 chapters!
With the old English and the British accent, I could understand it better listening on .075 speed.
Nice tip, theres some things i have hard time understanding bc of the accent n old culture n social standard.
Love your pronunciation, very easy to listen to! Thank you so much
The most amazing reader i have ever come across. Tells the story so perfectly, almost as if it’s jane herself:)
