Yes , Van Halen stopped playing the great IN YOUR FACE HARD ROCK with David Lee Roth and went SOFT playing more pop oriented music with Somewhat haggard Sammy Hagar!
I liked the best of both but I do agree Sammy was better vocalist but David knew how to have fun probably to much but for me it’s the best of both worlds
I hate to admit to this but I went to see Van Halen in concert in Jacksonville Florida in 1991 and got so drunk that I went to the car about 5 songs in on their playlist and passed out in the car missed most of the concert. I mean you don't want to miss any of Van Halen because now it's over there is no going back sure I can watch videos but that's not the same talk about regrets I really hate to admit to it but it happened and it's something that can't be changed
He was the greatest! always jumping around having a blast playing that guitar with the cigarette at the top of it🎸🚬🔥 smiling that sweet smile of his such a goodlooking man 😘 he will be greatly missed, gone to soon 😔💔
This shows alot about Eddie’s ability to share the stage with other great showmen like Sammy Hagar. I wouldn’t have it any other way, Two amazing lead guitarists, Eddie also was great on coming up with melodies on the synth. Such a legendary talent gone too soon, totally breaks my heart. 🤘🏽RIP Edward Van Halen

When Sammy Hagar. Came to Van Halen it was magic. Not that there was anything wrong with DLR but we heard more of Eddie’s vocals with Hagar. He has a pleasant voice in addition to his expert guitar talent!
They kicked this tour off in Shreveport, LA. They also prepped the tour here (because Valerie's parents lived here)for like 2 weeks before they went worldwide. I was 10 years old & was a budding young guitar enthusiast. BTO was their opening act. They kicked the show (and the tour) off with "There's only one way to ROCK!" It was fucking awesome!!!!! Forever the Baddest Ever... EVH
