Just adding some context to the song's title as FYI -- Eve, Psyche and Bluebeard's wife are all canonically women who were told against committing a certain forbidden act but gave in to their curiosity anyway and got punished for it:
① Eve eating from the tree of knowledge
② Psyche (pronounced "sy-kee") taking a peek at Eros' face after sleeping together despite promising him not to
③ Bluebeard's wife venturing into the locked room to find her husband's dead ex-wives
Their stories tie in nicely with the meaning of the song and especially the line "I wish for what’s forbidden".

Bluebeard's wife learned of the horrible nature of her husband.

also, the painting says, "i won't hide myself" (not hurt) in reference to how eros/cupid hid his face, the most terrifying part of himself, from her. the girls are saying they are refusing to hide themselves even if it scares other people off

so proud of Sakura, how she has improved so much all these years. Her hardwork has paid off!!
Sakura used to be a weak dancer in AKB48 and now she is a really good lead dancer and her vocals also improved so much. I found Sakura voice pretty even in Produce 48, but now she finally gets proper lines.

Yunjin is really good with her amazing facial expressions like, it is not awkward to watch her. She's so cool. I'm looking forward to her acting career if she will consider this path aside from being in the music industry.
Psyche is the representation of the soul in Greek culture, she marries Eros, but, being mortal, she is forbidden to look at him. Bluebeard's wife is forbidden to open a door while he is not at home. They, like Eve, had something they shouldn't do and they do it anyway. In most of these myths women are portrayed as disobedient and are punished for that. They uses these stories to tell us all: don't disobey, be sensible, just do what you have to do. That's why the line "I wish for what's forbidden" comes because we shouldn't be scared by what we're told isn't for us. Because have is the risk is worth it. They are stories that I know were used for a long time to intimidate the woman and remind her that they could not do this or that, that they only had one function and one place and that they will be punished if they disobey. But no one should live in fear, or we should be forbidden anything because of who we are or what we look like.
That's what blows my mind about LE SSERAFIM, they're not really the kind of group where you can point at one member and say that's the best dancer, they all hold their own in dance and match each other on stage so well, it's fucking crazy!!! For being a team that was made of people selected randomly and not trainees who trained together for years..,.Hybe and Source execs lucked out with these five.
And before anyone comes at me for that last bit, it's a complement; this team was only a idea in 2021, yes they knew they wanted and got Sakura and Chaewon but they were lucky Yunjin agreed to come back, they scouted Kazuha, a ballet dancer, who I believe had no training in other styles of dance and Eunchae, a trainee they had in "the vault", it was random and yet, they're fucking incredible as team one year in.
honestly i think what makes it so much better is that they have such a natural chemistry with each other! first impressions were still happening amongst each other as late as November 2021 before making their debut only half a year later, yet they’re this strong individually and as a team! all of the members also have their own ambitions, and rather than it stomping on or overwhelming the other members’ ambitions, it builds all of them up which is very visible to us fans 😄😄
Obsessed with this bop and choreo! had Unforgiven stuck in my head for weeks, now its this! glad Sakura got more lines and is featured more. Manchae has been shining so bright this comeback!

Sakura's improvement is actually insane. I remember watching a lot of iz*one stages and finding her quite awkward. Idk what it was, but joining lsfm brought her from mid to excellent. She's so full of charisma and energy now.
Agreed. Of all 4th Gen idols she gets most improved. She’s in a group of great performers and she’s definitely not slacking. She seems like the type that will improve and meet and exceed the standards in the presence of better performers. That’s a great quality to have as a performer. You’re never the best you you can ever be. The next you will always improve upon the you of yesterday.
In fact she improved so much I actually thought since their debut that she was the leader🙈😭😭
I think its a huge problem with groups that have more than the standard 4 to 8 members. The idols with less strength end up getting heavily overshadowed by the stronger members in the group and it stunts their growth as an artist. I'm much more inclined to follow a group that has 5 members so that everyone can have equal opportunity to display strengths in a 3 minute song/preformance over 12 members fighting for lines/center in choreo.
this song felt so big to me. the first time i saw it in the comeback show i didnt know what to do with myself. its so different, but also so them and fits so well with their story and concept. they all look so cool and strong and empowered. watching you watch the beginning of the video and the sakucenter dance break made me tear up because they really are so powerful. yunjins tiny smirk before the dance start kills me every time. sakura wants me dead for sure and eunchae never stops impressing me with her performance skills. i shouldnt be surprised bc to be picked for a group with this lineup, she had to have been really talented, but her confidence growing has been the biggest change, shes always been a great dancer, but she commands attention now. everyone did amazing as always. thank you for reacting to this!

You're so right. The choreo particularly for the chorus looks like such a workout. Like for cardio i should just start doing the chorus choreo over and over for 30 minutes lol. But yeah i loved the way you were freaking out during all the big moments of this video, especially the blue room with the back lighting, i was losing my shit. It's so hype and so visually satisfying. Whoever choreographed this did such a good job, it's such a sassy yet aggressive choreo. Also at the beginning when you were trying to name the style of music the beat is, it has a couple different names depending on the country, but in America that specific sub-genre of dance music is known as Jersey-Club music.

Psyche like psychology..there's a deep meaning to the song...all these three mythological characters was forced to fit in a box and told to not to do or be what they want...le sserafim says they won't fall for others unnecessary expectation and be who they want to be...wish for what's forbidden..be unforgiven

This song is pretty easily the best B-Side of the year for me, atleast so far. If it's my favourite, is up in the air with Dreamcatcher and IVE but you must commend the relentless beat of the song and LE SSERAFIM's commitment to making recognisable yet, difficult choreo. This is the song I use to warm me up for the gym. Boom Boom Boom just echoes through my head...

5:57 - this obviously is subjective to some part but Sakura definitely is in the top 3 dancers. I'd say Chaewon is their best dancer though.
Chaewon is a super strong idol dancer, the best and also open style wise (which currently turned into a big topic in the community) Chaewon, Yunjin and Sakura are all interchangeable.
Kazuha is a great ballerina but in open style which is considered Hip Hop or in Idol Dance she isn't on par with the three previously named members and since kpop mostly is idol dance with hip hop elements, I'd consider Chaewon the best (Main Dancer Title) with Yunjin and Sakura as strong Lead Dancers.
Though all 5 members blend perfectly together as a group and shine individually on their own too. It's amazing how all 5 could be considered the best dancer to some and everyone can have strong arguments to put their favs as the best dancer.
This is just my take on this.
