    Antifragile has such an attitude. Like, 'Oh, you try to drag us? Sounds like effort, good luck though', it's so fabulous and glam, it almost feels untouchable. So many songs try to have this message of Haters can't hurt me but it always feels defensive or aggressive. This is just so casual and that's what makes it so strong because it's not about ignoring the hate or growing stronger from it, they just literally could not be bothered. They're feeling themselves too much to even begin to care. It's egotistic, self-absorbed and sassy. It's perfect

    I loved your commentary about how well Hybe/Lesserafim gives that powerful feminine image. Especially cause they don’t show them being super masculine or super girly, and they also encourage the girls to be themselves and show who they really are as people. Which many of their songs in this album talk about.

    • @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan
      @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan 2 года назад +67

      I got that powerful image from Fearless, but more so from Antifragile. And I think both the title and the way the girls showed that confidence portrayed it so well.
      1. The title: Antifragile means that someone becomes even more stronger through stress, chaos, disorder, etc, and something beyond just being resilient. LE SSERAFIM has definitely undergone that right from the getgo, and I think the title fits so well.
      2. Their confidence: They've definitely upped their confidence since Fearless, and that song and video was already showing how confident they were. But their facial expressions and their movements just exuded so much confidence and powerful feminist vibes that I am truly here for. They're just giving us that raw energy that I just love, and again, they debuted 5 months ago.

I could sense the extra oomph they had in their facial expressions to show us that they are confident and charismatic to the audience. Just a minor detail I saw. I felt that this upped the charisma from Fearless, and Fearless was already a charismatic concept and song. I feel like Hybe is particularly good about "let's not try to do a bad copy of this genre, let's just call up the people who actually make it and have them work with us on this" and it really pays off in so many of Hybe groups songs.

It's so feminine in the choreography and clothing choices that it begs to be put into a drawer with every other girlcrush or sexy comeback for a girlgroup but then the song itself is so unique in it's message and the point dance of the first chorus part to like flex their arms like you'd expect a gym bro to do in direct follow up to these flirty little hip twists that scream 'girly' just don't fit. It's so obvious but also so special that there is no place to shelve it and THAT's what makes it so good. The entire album is just song after song about 'We're obviously not perfect, we're not Angels, we have all these bad days too but it won't break us because why should it?' It's all these fragments and puts it into a cohesive little bag with a ribbon on top and I love that. I hope they never lose this spark that they have

    They are rookies and this has been one of the BEST songs ever made this year. I'm from Spain, we have Rosalía and in Spain reggaeton is really really played in here and I can say that this song is one of the best made and really with true reggae and latin sounds than any other kpop song that tried to be it before. The fact that Isabella Lovestory is behind the production and all of this song really shows, and when a group wants to do a style that is from other countries I think this is what they should do, search for people who are actally professionals in that style like Le sserafim did with Isabella for a latin song!

      Rosalia is not Latin American. Le Sserafim has Latin American influence music in this song and they did a relly good job. As a Latin American person myself, please, if you are going to talk about it do not relate Rosalia with Latin Music (we have tons of good Latin American singers who sing this kind of music).These rhythms-music-sounds originated mainly in Panama and Puerto Rico (Latin America) not Spain.

    Honestly, I wasn't sure I would like the song because I did something that I haven't done in YEARS and I watched the teasers. Just from the little snippet of the teaser I was so wary of the song, but I genially love this song. I kept watching it yesterday and I've had this mini album on repeat today. The B-sides are good although I wasn't loving No Celestial, but I've come to like it. From the documentary series they really had to fight to come together to create this group and people were talking shit before and after, plus the whole Garam situation. But they have come through it all with their heads held high and they have things to say. It's catchy and the "anti ti ti fragile fragile" part has been stuck in my head in the best way.

Discovering new groups, getting to know their members was something I've been lazy about. This song is really catchy, it made me actually want to know more about the girls. I felt like when I first discovered K-pop with BTS, so hyped up and wanting more. I never felt close to a girl group, never said "this is it." before. Now I can say I found my group. The girls are so amazing and talented. I can't stop dancing to this amazing choreo and I find myself singing to their lyrics randomly. I feel all bubbly and energetic again! Best comeback ever!

Like all the parts and the way it goes to the chorus, plus the instrumental, it all just feels so inherently familiar to me. And as it turns out, there were two latinoamerican artists involved in the production of this song, Pau Cerrilla and Isabela Lovestory, who's already a known musician from Honduras.
