An excellent driving tour. Didn't realize though that The Caymans had such a relatively intense car culture. Cars everywhere, it seemed. For some reason, I thought the island might be more walkable. Saw just a couple of people walking. Don't recall seeing any bikes or scooters. Sort of gives off a rather lonely vibe being inside a car so much, but many parts of the planet seem headed in that direction.
I just took a tour of my Birth Place. The changes is amazing after 57 years of leaving at a very young age I think the Hotel you started from look very familiar Comfort Suites, the place I always stayed when I go for a visit
Ah, beautiful Comfort Suites, just across from Coconut Joe sports bar. Stayed there 4 times and enjoyed it each time. Coconut Joe's sports bar and restaurant a nice spot to hang out at nights.
Thanks for posting this Kevin. We stay there too! And since we can't be there this January due to the pandemic, it's really nice to take this drive with you - lots of familiar sites.
#1 tip living in Cayman is avoid getting your car repaired at GT Automotive - they are the biggest crooks on island charging 5-6 times more than what a part is worth i.e. $850 for a part worth $175 elsewhere on island!
Ocho Rios City looks better. Ocho Rios is Jamaica's most sophisticated, opulent, desirable, dreamy, adventurous and livable international city by far. George Town is just business community that's manicure.

Ocho Rios had a Stringray facility that don't even advertise or listed on the tourist board of attractions. It has Turtle Farm, Snorkeling, Rock formation similar to "hell". Let me put this into perspective so you could understand. The historic town of Falmouth which located between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay that was upgraded to a resort town in 2011 by Royal Caribbean International, has all the Oasic Class mega ships that only dock in Falmouth because it has the deepest water at that pier. However, majority of those mega ship passengers took more day trips to Ocho Rios than anywhere else on the island; even some Montego Bay cruise passengers booked day trips to Ocho Rios. You are too narrow- minded to understand progress. Has " dangerous " as you think Jamaica is, Ocho Rios always kept it together even in Jamaica darkest days of the 70s and 80s. Nothing wrong if I said Ocho Rios has more to offer than Grand Cayman. Ocho Rios has more attractions the some islands. You sound like someone who hates progress.
