I didn't realize how much RUclips compresses videos until I saw 4k gaming in person myself. So sharp.

if you dont have a 4k display, playing it in 4k increases the bitrate so it would still look better :) but yeah most mobiles are limited to 1080p i think

I have both the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X and on my 4K with HDR they literally look the same in my opinion... some 4K enhanced games you can tell a difference but barely you have to be looking really hard tbh to even tell there’s a difference other then that the best thing about the X it’s load times are extremely fast.
This whole resolution thing has gotten to the point where I don't really care anymore. Dude I just wanna drive
The x looks brighter and maybe a little crisper. That's the only difference I noticed at first glance. If you really wanna compare quality you've gotta compare stills or at the very least stop the car. The only people who will notice any sizable difference are the .1% of people watching this on a 4k monitor.

Just check out the interiors of the cars, the detail of signs... there's so much more fine detail that's noticeable even from a distance and certainly increases immersion IMO.
How to see any difference if you have only hd 1366x768 monitor - 1) set video to 4k resolition, 2) watch at 1:09 on rear bumper shiny little emblem - its the ONLY WAY to see any difference if you dont have 4k display

You won't see a difference other than the lighting and textures being a little bit sharp, but that's all!
The reason for this is because the Xbox One S Video is 1080p being upscaled to 4K
And the Xbox One X is Native 4K (2160p) being shown in it's true resolution.
4k is actually worse than 720p. Having too many pixels is a bad thing. Don't fall for the hype.

If it's like 55 Inch Display TV's then no 4K is not good!
The stretching of the screen and the big display really hurts the resolution. This is why screen displays that are 32 inches and below looks better with HD and UHD, and they cost more than say a 42 inch or 48 inch or above? Smaller Screen equals better quality.

Personally viewing any 1080p content on a 32inch TV would look the same as viewing 4K content on a 62 inch TV Display!
Bigger displays hampers the resolution, which is why iPhones can use a resolution of 1080p and still display 4K Content that is good crisp, and detailed! *(iPhone 8 and 8 Plus)*
I’ll never understand the craze for 4K graphics... I mean they are SLIGHTLY different and you can only notice it because they are being compared side by side. When you’re actually playing the game there will be no differences noticed...

Not true at all. I have an S. I got the X yesterday. I can see a significant difference with no side-by-side comparison. The texture detail makes certain games, like Forza, look completely different. I am playing on a 2017 LG OLED tv.
Even on Madden, X enhanced, I noticed a measurable improvement immediately from the start up screen. Crisp.
Low the brightness and up the contrast, boom, your One S looks exactly like a One X.

You can't compare graphics on RUclips...you have to experience it on your own TV.
You can see a slight difference, but then you move back 1 more foot (10ft or so) and your like....hymm, I lost it, which is which?

RUclips compression makes this really hard to notice and unless you're viewing it in 4k you're not going to see enough to make a compelling argument. I can say from experience that if you're wanting less "jaggies" during your gameplay and the highest resolution you should definitely buy the X.
I sold my X because I didn't use it and then ended up getting the all digital edition S for $129.99 around Christmas and it's serviceable enough to still enjoy gaming. Although I must say Red Dead Redemption 2 on the One X is one phenomenal experience.

@@repalopo There is actually a launch version of it it's called Xbox 360 Core that was made in 2005 and it doesn't have an hdmi port. Any model that was made before 2007 doesnt come out with an hdmi port.

Those who say thats a huge difference are just suporting their xbox one x,there is some differences but hey the xbox one s has pretty good graphics too,so i think that people who buy the xbox one x are rushing a little bit for a little techonology upgrade,the ps5 might be certainly a massive improvement over the xbox one x not only resolution but graphics too it will rivalised more with high end PC

I honestly don't see that much of a difference outside of small artifacts on edges of trees and things like that.
I don't care what people say. The game definitely looks minimally better on the one X. There's definitely a very minor improvement.

still the graphics looks like a cartoon! Try GT Sport on a 4k TV with HDR. Light shaders look like in real life. I know the object disapear in the mirror on GT sport ect.....but the lights and reflection theyve captured is stunning and gives a lession to all other developers except the team of DRIVECLUB! These graphics are unmached till now.

XB1 S is currently $250, XB1 X is $500. So $250 difference. And yes, the difference is noticeable, especially if you hate aliasing artifacts as much as I do. There is almost no aliasing on XB1 X.

Not worth the money on any platform, this is coming from someone who games on both PS4 Pro and PC capable of 4K gaming. I have a lot of disposable income so I just buy the best of all platforms I'm interested in. Will probably purchase the Xbox One X but it will be for physical game copies, something you can't get on PC. But still not worth the $1600 I spent on two 4K TV's, PS4 Pro, and GPU and memory upgrade for my PC. Friends and family are blown away by my gaming setup in my house, I'm just not impressed by it anymore. Yet still I'll probably buy the Xbox One X and a 80" 4K TV (the next one I have my eye on). Have a lot of income when your old, have a great job, and no longer have a family to take care of.

So, basically, if you like a white-colored gaming system, buy the One S. If you prefer a black-colored gaming system, spend double the money for a One X.

I don't see any reason to be blown away by the X. The X is basically like the Pro version of PS4 ( the graphics aren't improved just the colors & the lighting ). I say making one version of a console is enough.
The X has darker blacks, which is easily adjustable on your tv. Save yourself $250 and get the S. There is no difference. It's all checkerboard 4k anyway.

Daft comparison..doesnt show much difference..videos on youtube are compressed..you need to see it on a good tv..ive come from the one to a one x and the difference is obvious! Much better light and reflections

Is it just me, or is it a trend now for game developers to create low poly textures for xbox one S games because it lacks in power, and work extra hard on titles supporting the hardware inside the X model????? Basically, to mitigate any criticism about poor graphics quality, game developers can use the fact that the S model is a step below the X model. So, they can dump half assed textures into a game title, and instead focus on coding better graphics for a better X model. Correct me if I'm wrong please - I'm about to get an x model - so no biased cry drama here.

Watching this vid on my note 8 at 1440p 60 fps. I don't see much of a difference to be honest. The price difference is just too high for that bit of difference. 160€ plus one game free with Xbox one S and 499€ just for the console xbox one x. And 4k is just not yet ready for the commercial market ...
Okay you know what. I will tell you the truth. If you play a xbox s game on a high resolution tv, then your game will be much brighter. But x, is going to be even much brighter and will make your brain harder to concentrate. Concentrate on health first. Second he is recording from his game and his games are either kind of low or high resolution please understand this. Xbox and ps4 are both enemies but we can help this problem if we have common sence.

Why don't these companies just bite the bullet and release the fully capable system they want on day ONE. I can't help but feel like as an early adopter,i got screwed. I bought an Xbox1 thinking I'd be good for the generation. Instead,they release a more capable version.

I get that, I'm just not a fan of releasing a graphically/technically superior version of the same console mid generation. The XBOX 1 X isn't a true next gen console. If one wants to get the most graphically superior version of a game, they have to get an X. Just seems like it works out for late adopters but screws early adopters.
I'll say the Xbox one x doesn't look any clearer but the saturation is just a pinch up and the hype is to get people to buy something they say is different I don't own a Xbox one x I played on the same tv with it and I have to say its just a higher opacity and a pinch of saturation and violia

*+Dew Wolf* No, although the Xbox One S can display games in a resolution of 4K, it doesn't PLAY the games in 4K.
The Xbox One X ACTUALLY plays the games in 4K, as well as displaying them 4K too!
So with the Xbox One S, you're getting 1080p (Native) being upscaled to 4K on that console.
Meanwhile, with the Xbox One X, you're getting TRUE 2160p (4K) being run on the highest settings, which is 4K! That's the difference! :)

Dew Wolf the S does not display resolution higher then native 1080p. Then it uses upscaling techniques to fill in the pixels to make it fit on a 4k tv. Otherwise the picture would be too small on the screen. The 1X has all the power to put the full 6 million pixels on the screen without any upscaling. So it creates a sharper image at native 4k and higher resolution textures making the game more immersive. So there is a difference.

there is actually no difference, if u want 4K the Xbox one s can upscale the game at 4k otherwise everything is the same except load-times which are a maximum of 10 sec fast on the Xbox one x

LOL Hardly see any difference comparring 8GB DDR3 memmory of the XBOX One S with the 12 GB GDDR5 memmory of the XBOX One X and look at this result but then again it will probably take like a full year before any game comes out where you can truely see a difference in graphics and then even then the differences between any versions of the PS4 or XBOX will be slight to nothing atol because game developers will adjust to console its not PC gaming were talking about here .

I typed in Xbox one X vs Xbox one S graphics and stumbled upon this video. I watched as I thought to myself, " wow the S looks great! " then I scroll down and read your comment. I knew right away what you were saying John.
I have a 1080P TV ( Sharp 47" Aquas ) and the picture looks amazing. I don't want to buy a new 4K TV, but? I was thinking on upgrading the Xbone X. I saw the video, I read your comment, I must say I side with you 100%. I am not impressed at all. I was going to buy a $500 Xbone X! Put my old S in the bedroom and have a nice new powerful X in the living room. But... your statement, while sarcastic it's also sad, indeed I had false hopes it seems. I thought I was going to see a world of difference in the graphics. Good that people are honest. Just saved me $500.

Compared to what? If you had a shittier 1080p tv before and have a high quality hdr 4k tv now I'm sure it looks way better but that's not due to the resolution. From 10 feet away your not gonna tell the difference between 4k and 1080p assuming the overall qaulity is the same.
