Appreciate the concern! Unfortunately there is no other way for me to make videos/this channel happen. When I post a video, sleep has been sacrificed - it’s ok really. Some weeks I don’t post so I can “recharge” a bit, meaning; daily routine but with sleep.
I'm happy to see that the game is optimized so well for each console,I still have the XB1X hooked up to a Sony 65' 930e tv so it will look great until I can find a Series X,what I've seen the XB1X version looks similar to the Series X version in performance mode & is 30fps instead of 60fps & to even get this running on base XB & it still looks decent blows my mind,they're one of the best developers in the world hands down I take my hat off to Playground Games what amazing work they've achieved here.

@@chromehearts888 On XB1X Forza 5 no unless they patch it later to run 1080p@60fps but I doubt it because it's much bigger & more demanding than Forza 4,but most games run at 1080p@30 or 4k@30fps depending on what tv you have but there is quite a few games that do run at 1080p@60 & 4k@60 on the XB1X,just do a google search to find out which ones can,so for now it's still a little beast of a machine.

@@MrMagikool i watched a comparison video for mlb21 for xbox and ps4 and they both showed smooth consistent frames so i got it and it was a frameskip lag fest. a 3+ yr or older console will struggle for sure. im sure these tests are done on new/refurbished systems. run it on a 5 yr old OneS and see if it plays this good

I have a mid-range gaming PC and yet I will still play on the Xbox One S, partly because my gpu doesn't do more that 1080p60, and partly because fh4 looked fine on it

I'm normally a quality guy but Performance mode on the Series X has been soo good I haven't even bothered trying out Quality mode.
Tried quality going from 60 to 30 and the input is so noticable. I'm definitely happy with performance. I only use quality when I want to take pics on the game
@@SSwizzyMusic Yeah I ended up trying it and its not worth it to me, everything looks blurry when you're driving fast and thats the whole point of the game lol
@@galactic_4k quality mode is useless if the frames are stuck on 30 fps I don’t know a single person who enjoys blur on their games.
Performance is good but would have been better as quality at 60 but 1440p

I’m glad I found this video. I was worried that my Xbox One wasn’t going to Handle this game very well. But if I keep the game at a solid 810 I’d be able to play until I can get my hands on a new gen Xbox.

Thank you for this Comparison. I have a Xbox One X with 1TB SSD instead of the original defective HDD. So my Loading Times are near at Series S or X... In 30FPS almost the same quality as Series X. I hope there will be a 1080P-1600P 60FPS Mode on ONE X. Would be nice. But the team of that game did a superior job for all consoles. Same on AGES 4 on pc. First day and it runs smothly, not as other Publishers like Blizz or els with unplayable games on release week. Microsoft... good job on this!

I was worried about the game on my one s but it looks good enough for me.
Yeah people were posting videos about the res and audio files and visuals being worse, but looks like playground games have been making sure that it doesn’t interfere with the user experience, the only thing I’m not sure is about the sound which I’ll see how it does when I get the game tomorrow since I’ve been waiting for the date

Depends on the game, but also on your monitor. Nevertheless, Series S is pretty decent. Check out The Xbox Tester, Maurice, he uploads daily gameplay for Series S.

I think the game looks incredibly cool on Xbox One X so for me there is no reason to get Serie X especially when I do not care about charging times or 60 fps. Probably waiting for the next Xbox Series X PRO and skipping Series X.
To be honest, I have xbox one s and I will enjoy this game. It still looks gorgeous considering that the consoles are already 8 years old.

Yea I’m noticing slight differences and frame rate seemed smoother on FH4 as well as resolution. Maybe because FH4 had time to update? I’m not sure but I’ve noticed too.

The picture quality gap between the current generation and the next generation of Horizon 5 is not as obvious as the gap between Horizon 2 XBOX ONE and XBOX360 in 2014

Hey, thank you - appreciate the comment. I get this more often. The choice I made at start of this channel was One S because it outputs 4K and HDR. This specific video isn't HDR because I was having issues at the time of recording but if a game support HDR the project/video will be HDR. In some cases the games do not support HDR for One S and I will tonemap One X/Series S/X from HDR to SDR to fit the project. With the original one I would basically have this situation with every single HDR game. I agree that it would be interesting to see though - but some comprises we're made to allow as much HDR content as possible on the channel. Thanks for the visit!

There is the Xbox One S, which is the older one, and the Xbox Series S, which is just as new as the Xbox Series X.

I've just bought a Series S, and i play forza a lot. I had my Xbox One S for 4 years and while I had so many memories, I look to the future. The Series S, Performance or Quality, looks absolutely stunning.

You don't understand how hardware works. The CPU is completely outdated and won't be able to run most games at 60 fps, turning down resolution or graphic settings won't help.

Where I live the One S is almost the same price as Series S.. I strongly recommend hold of your purchase until you can get Series S if possible. Like Speedy J suggested also, it really is the best option. Good luck on your decision.

Lol no it don't. It has a higher rez that's it. The series s has 60fps as well as a quality mode that blows the one x out of the water with better textures more trees and bushes. The ine x is a 4k console the series s is not. But the series s is much more powerful. Are you sure you own one?
The series S was designed for 1080p-1440p. So they went for that resolution and were able to jack up the settings way higher than the lagbox one X.

Which capture device are you using? If you're trying OBS - OBS does not support HDR. Your capture device and recording software, if it is not done on the device itself, both need to support it.

My regular capture device was out of order but really wanted to do the video so I had to improvise, otherwise it would have been an HDR video.I agree it came out a bit too saturated and overexposed, not sure why though - only thing I could think of colour shift while changing project from Wide Gamut to Normal. Luckily I'm back to my regular device (replacement) now for next video, improvements for specially HDR content for more cleaner image in the works - the improvements should also make video quality better in SDR without need to wait for HDR processing for decent quality. Good catch btw!
