I love to see people's reaction the first time hearing him.
Me too.
Been watching Chris Stapleton reaction videos all morning! Haha!!!
you need to react to CMA awards show Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake Tennessee whiskey an Drink you away ! its Sick!!
They are always pleasantly surprised to say the least!
Being a Stapleton fan I got excited during "Say Something" you started talking about Chris having soul. I just kept thinking "He has no idea how much soul. He'll see in Tennessee Whiskey". 😂😂😂
Dubious Terror0 SAME!!
Dubious Terror0 omgggg that’s literally what I said when he said that. He’s got some serious soul in Tennessee Whiskey 🥃
Dubious Terror0 Their reactions always crack me up because they are expecting some poor ol country boy! He blows them away! Love Chris Stapleton 🥰
Morgane, chris’s wife (a vocalist herself, and sings with him on his albums), is currently pregnant with their fifth baby. She birthed twins last years. Guess the music works. 🖤
Definitely get the panties music! So smooth!
If I was his wife I’d be dropping them panties too
Fifth?! I had no idea! Talk about loads of talent 😁😉
Chris stappletons backstory
He was the first spotted unicorn,
Any further information lies in a land beyond
truth
Thank god NPH spotted him.....who knows where we'd be otherwise
Man ! This is comment is soooo underrated ! 😆
He comes from the sacred land of Kalawigbeyondgama.
I love everyone's reactions to Chris Stapleton. Haven't met a single person that doesnt like him. He just has it.
Country music is the soul of the land, bluegrass the soul of the hills and R&B soul of the mind.
With Country music, get ready for the best storytelling you’ll ever hear.
100%.
And Iron Maiden.
@@therealestmcc0y I wouldn't say "the best" storytelling but very effective!
I've never heard Fire away before or saw the Video, I didn't get through it without breaking down and crying . My husband is a police officer and it was like watching me and him on screen. Being a wife of a cop isn't easy, there's so much anxiety that comes with it but when you add it with other forms of depression it can create a perfect storm. I know my husband loves me and I love him because there's no way either of us would've stuck it out this long if we didn't..

"Stay" by Sugarland ... Absolutely beautiful voice and 💯 Pure Raw Emotion!!!!
Jenifer Nettles is awesome! So so so sexy
Or anything by Jennifer Nettles in general. She has such a strong and amazing voice.
Chris Stapleton is a whole new level of a voice it’s so hard to not enjoy his voice.
Man I love the blues! I am now hooked on Chris Stapleton! Thanks!
For someone born in the late 80s, raised on 50s, 60s, and 70s country, when Chris Stapleton hit the scene, I was like yes! The story tellers are back!
Stapleton has a way of making you FEEL the music with his voice. Amazing !
He was a songwriter first. For years. One day, his wife, told him to sing some of it.. And bam..
He loves his wife so much.. Lol. She sings backup. Her name is MorganE (with an "E" lmao). He credits her for everything.. All of their success. Her being a great mother to their kids.. His soulmate.
He can blow all other male vocals to shreds. Try, "parachute, I cry, Whiskey and you, Either way.." Whole album actually!!!
Stunning. He has a second album out as well. Crazy good!!!
ALSO- NOLIFESHAQ, has reacted to, I think, 3 of his songs. Jaw, dropped, to the floor. He LOVES him.
Said he couldn't go back to the hood now. Lmao. He loves him!!
Angela S. G. I love nolifeshaq’s reaction to Tennessee Whiskey. I watch it again and again!
One of my FAVORITE Chris Stapleton songs is Broken Halos. It happened to come out at a time when I was loosing a family member and a pet all at the same time. So there is a deep meaning for me.
Chris Stapleton is in a league of his own. Its like country soul and blues wrapped up in one.
Absolutely!!
I'm not a country kinda of girl but when I heard him sing ..I was like omg , he's music touches your soul❤
Chris Stapleton "sometimes I cry" man he is so real. Forever fan after I saw performance at BING studio
Ahhh, YES!💖💖💖💖
Chris Stapleton singing Sometimes I Cry live at the Bing Lounge will have your jaw on the floor. Amazing, AMAZING performance. You won’t be disappointed, I guarantee it 😊
I love the collaboration between Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton, I love Justin Timberlake, but Chris Stapleton is freaking amazing. He just is he's one hell of a guitarist, and he's a hell of a country singer and a blues singer. You can't ever go wrong with Chris Stapleton.
Trust me..."I was wrong" Chris Stapleton. It's one of the best!
You can't ease into Chris Stapleton. Lol.
B Smith Amen ! There is NO easing into that dude. One song...hell, one NOTE, and that’s it. You’re hooked !
I felt like a wall of clouds came and got me and took me to the note tho...ln
His voice is like trying to ease into MMA
Oh, you'll love Chris. He's as much blues as country, with soul oozing out of his pores. He's a good ol' Kentucky boy from my neck of the woods. Moved to Nashville & became a successful songwriter (many hits for major artists) before becoming a performer.
I'm not a huge country fan (you should know me by now, a classic rock girl), but he's the best, a phenomenal talent.
He didn't write "Tennessee Whiskey", it's an old song he liked so he took it & made it a huge hit. But nearly everything you'll hear from him, he wrote.
I suggest:
I Was Wrong
Sometimes I Cry
Death Row
And his duet with JT at the 2015 CMA Awards is a must see, that's what first turned me on to him. And a lot of people. But remember there's 2 songs, "Tennessee Whiskey" AND "Drink You Away." Can't cut it short. They rocked the house. It's a lot of fun to watch.
And one thing I do like about country music, it always tells a story. You like that too, so there are other artists you'll like.. Blake Shelton and also Brooks & Dunn are good. You'll be getting a variety of suggestions.
And randy travis
He said He loved Aretha, did a tribute to her. Did one for Prince too.
Isn't he from the same town as Dolly Parton? Must be something in the water
@@jimmydeakins3701 no, Dolly Parton is from Great Smoky Mountains area of Tennessee and Chris Stapleton was born in Lexington Ky and grew up in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
Hey, I’m a Zeppelin, Floyd, Stones, etc., a million times over, but who doesn’t love themselves some Justin Timberlake. From his music, to his voice, to his looks, to his comedy, and of course, his dancing, how can you not love him! I’ll always be a HARD rocker at heart, but Justin, oooooh weeeeee 😍😍
The Matthew's Fam SAM ABSOLUTELY ! You can feel it in YOUR chest when they both sing! All Chris Stapleton's music is PHENOMENAL! Oh yeah his wife sings back up! Love the channel ONE LOVE
You HAVE to see him live! Then you know he's the real deal.
I’m crying so hard after hearing and seeing Fire Away. The other two songs were great also. Thank you! I love your reactions.
I’ve never been a country music fan, but Chris Stapleton is a beast of another nature. Blues, soul, gospel, with a touch of rock. This dude does it all !!! His songs are DEEP, and sung with all the soul he can muster. This dude is a beast !
Several years ago, Chris Stapleton performed on the special for John Lennons 70th Birthday. He performed several John Lennon songs. He also sang with Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson.
I swear Chris was an old black blues man in a previous life.
Agreed. He is from a different time.
You dont know blues
@@birdland85 you clearly haven't listen to all of Chris Stapeltons music. So before you come on here and say stuff like that do your research first.
@@cliff_rogers7919 but I know blues. It's not just slave music. It's everyone's music.
@@birdland85 I never said it was slave music. Its just most of the best blues players were old black men.
I enjoyed this. You are really insightful! Chris Stapleton is amazing.
SOOOO LOVE watching everyone FALL IN LOVE WITH CHRIS!!!!!💜😘
Here a year later doing the same thjng... DAMMMMN ...hmmm
Chris is definitely influenced by the blues first! You can see amazing covers of James Brown's "It's a Man's World", Aretha's "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man", and some of SRV's catalog! Stevie Ray Vaughn is a major influence in his sound and style! Jam bands such as The Allman Brothers, Skynyrd, Gvm't Mule etc. also show you the talent of playing the song different every time, and stretching it longer live! Thank you my dear! You have a talent of bringing all types together through music! Our 1 universal language! Keep on rocking baby!
You should see his live performance a tribute to prince, no fancy camera and sound just Stapleton soul, timber and heart. dont forget to message what you think.
You should check out the live performance they did at the 2015 CMAs.
I second that!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
jen521 truly they took that performance to church
it will go down as one of the greats
But you also can't deny how amazing this video is and the fact that it was all done in one long take.
yaaassss they brought the house down!!!!
Chris insisted that this fire away video be made. The record company wanted a video. He came in a told them his idea. They were shocked. In the end he said this or nothing.
As a bipolar person I recognize all the ups and downs. It's so damned hard on a relationship, family children. It's so hard to (fake) normal.
Say something is one of my JAMS! SOUL!! BEAT!!
Oh you haven’t even begun to get into the soul of Chris Stapleton. He has some great songs, but he’s written hundreds more. My favorites are What Are You Listening To, I Was Wrong, Either Way, Death Row, Whisky and me. There are tons of them. He did a cover of it’s A Mans World, and Nothing Compares to You by Prince. He’s said that he was called by Timberlake’s wife to come to a party for Justin, and Chris thought it as to perform, and she invited him because Justin was a huge fan. After that Justin and Chris performed two songs at the 2015 CMA awards. You’re going to love him.
His own book is thousands of songs. He described song writing as an affliction!
I think he made it as a song writer before he was recognized as the great singer that he is.
He also covered Tennessee whiskey lmao it's not his song.
Russell Ragsdale. My husband pointed that out. George Jones made a hit out of Tennessee Whiskey many years ago. But Chris made it his song for sure. Georges song is so very different. The two do not even sound like the same song. Only the words are the same. I think the song Tennessee Whiskey is probably about as old as Chris is. lol I like Chris's version of it the best.
And George Jones's version was a cover of David Allen Coe...DAC released it in '81, George released it in '83
Chris's wife, Morgane sings back up on all of his songs.. Please check out You Are My Sunshine, Morgane voice is beautiful...I started following you because of Queen & am enjoying you discovering some of my favorites...Good music is good music, no matter the genre'..Salute to all the freethinkers!!!
Agreed!
Beverly Dorn or Amanda
Being a black guy from Mississippi I've always appreciated country music and others music is universal heehaw was a every Saturday thing growing up in my grandparents house
It's amazing that music shows no race. It's appreciation of talent for me. But country (classic country) is seen as white people music, but they don't know that we listened to and loved Charley Pride and yes HeeHaw was a staple in my house as well. Roy Clark is probably the best picker the world has ever known.
MARCUS 63 YEAR OLD WHITE GUY HERE WHO STILL LIVES IN MISSISSIPPI & STILL LOVES CHARLIE PRIDE, B.B. KING, THE STAPLES SINGERS NOT TO MENTION HOWLIN' WOLF, THE MISSISSIPPI SHIEKS & ROBERT JOHNSON AMONG OTHERS! AS A YOUNG'UN MY SATURDAYS ESPECIALLY ON THE COLDER ONES INCLUDED SOUL TRAIN, AMERICAN BANDSTAND, THE MONKEES & HEE HAW PROVING TO ME AT LEAST THAT MUSIC IS THE GREAT UNIFIER AS WELL AS BELIEF IN THE ALMIGHTY! WE ARE ALL IN THIS THING CALLED LIFE TOGETHER JUST AS WE SHOULD BE!!!!!
Say something one take baby! That’s Amazing!!!
Bro, I come across your reviews having so much time on my hands due to the corrona outbreak, I'm glad I did. Saw Stapleton at MSG in November and feel blessed to have witnessed him perform. Take care everyone, sending love from England x
There's a very famous band called the Eagles who have the best selling album of all time, they're classic rock/ with a hint of country. I hate country but these guys are awesome. The harmonies are to die for and nobody is reacting to them. Just as suggestion Heartache Tonight, everyone knows Hotel California(live from hell freezes over is the best), lying Eyes, I can't tell you why... emotional music you can feel in your soul
I saw The Eagles in concert in the late 90's. Best concert I have ever been to. They sang their songs then the individual members sang their own songs. It was magical.
Hey Tiffany, it's one year later and no one's mentioned it so I thought I'd let you know. You'll hardly ever see the eagles get a reaction vid made because they are REALLY bad about flagging vids for copyright with their material in it. They're one of the biggest groups that really push for reactions etc to be pulled down...
Seven Bridges Road
Chris Stapleton is life bro omg Tennesse Whiskey will be played at my wedding hands down!!Love his voice!! Just listen to everything!!
His control is phenomenal and the way he strings his words out is beautiful
So glad you picked a Chris Stapleton song not everyone else has reacted too.
He’s amazing
Chris..born in Kentucky. Has been around for years. Has written music for others for years. Played in Jompson Brothers, southern rock....so happy to see him finally getting the respect and recognition he deserves...thank you! Great song is I Was Wrong
Not many know that he played in 2 different bands, very cool you brought up the Jompson brothers
@@neilburgess627 Ty for that , Neil. I really like their music.
Chris Stapelton is amazing 😉 Love his music, liisten to Daddy don’t pray anymore
Best performer I have ever seen live! not only does he sing the shit outta his songs, he's a beast on the guitar! Love this dude!
A great story...Brooks and Dunn - Believe
React to Justin and Chris Live at CMA's doing Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away
agree
this just blew me away
Epic
I've been to 100's of concerts...Chris Stapleton in my top 2 !!! One hell of a guitar player...His wife sings as well....AMAZING
everyone loves this man...how can u not right lol loved the reaction
I would love to see da queen’s reaction to Chris Stapleton music
Chris is influenced by the blues. Said Freddie King is his favorite artist of all time. Did tributes for Prince and Aretha Franklin when they passed. Played in a bluegrass band called Steeldrivers and then a rock band, Jompson Brothers
Kenny Seabolt I have Steeldrivers on vinyl. Man you can tell him voice. Blue Side of the Mountain is the hit off that album
loved steeldrivers, Stapleton is just on a whole other level lol
Ed Whalen yes he is sir. He’s my favorite country singer out right now
Yaaassss somebody else that listens to Steeldrivers!! 😍😍😍
Brandi K I also really like Tyler Childers and Benjamin Tod (who’s in a band with his wife called Lost Dog Street Band if you wanna search them)
I sing the blues and when I sing Tennessee whiskey, I always make it about the blues.
Chris Stapleton listens to a lot of Freddie King. He's Blues. Fantastic stuff
Check out "I Was Wrong" live Austin City Limits
Of his best songs!!
Yes this one is FIRE! Great vocal and super sick guitar solos. One man should not have that much talent.
agreed.... "I Was Wrong" live Austin City Limits is awesome... as well as "Either Way" is hard.... Death Row.... pffft its all hard lol
Off. The. CHAIN. This is the ONLY song you need to recognize the once-in-a-generational type talent.
Yes love that one and the performance was 💯
Chris Stapleton should only be listened to from his live preformances. The studio releases seem to muddle his amazing vocals. Plus in the live performances you can hear a lot more of the emotion and "soul" he puts into his singing. Especially the ones where it's just him and his guitar. Those are the best.
I live in his hometown of Paintsville Ky. My wife went to high school
with Chris. Chris graduated the year after my wife. And YES, from
anything I've ever heard from anybody who grew up with him, or knew him
locally (I've never met him) he is the genuine article and a truly great
guy and human being.
"...make you feel somethin. That's what some music is missing these days." 💗💗💗
Sturgill simpson, Jason isbell, Tyler Childers are my favorite non main stream country artist out at the moment.
Sturgill Simpson- turtles all the way down
Jason isbell- cover me up
Tyler Childers- White House road
Just some of my favorites.
I Was Wrong , Death Row, Sometimes I Cry, also You are my Sushine with his wife Morgane
And that folks is why we love Mr. MATTHEWS ❣❣❣
Hell YESSSSS!!!
I Was Wrong brings tears to my eyes.... He put his soul into that song.
I love Death Row
DEATH ROW for sure. I love that beat.
Chris Stapleton is definitely a soul singer.
Chris Stapleton is the greatest singer alive right now. Gives you full body chills.
This video was filmed in 1 take .( Say something)
That just seems amazing! Now a day's they have so many takes that, I think, it's too overly produced! It loses the rawness. Those little mistakes make them more real to someone like me,!
your stupid
One take and one camera. They filmed ur at a precise time to get the light right coming into the building.
Palantir eh?
@@palintear1 And so are you because you don't know the difference between you're and your.
You have to react to Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake at the 2015 CMA Awards..IT's the best performance ever!!! They did two songs. Tennessee Whiskey and Drink You Away. You won't be sorry you watched it!!!
I grew up on Chris!! This is my kick back song!!!
Yo! I just heard Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey for the first time a few days ago and hes got soul..
Chris Stapleton “Sometimes I Cry” live or “I Was Wrong”...
L, you know I’m one of your Queen fans...TRUST ME about Chris Stapleton!
You should also do I was wrong, sometimes I cry, broken halos and parachute oh and whiskey and you
CHRIS STAPLETON'S INFLUENCES ARE WIDE & VARIED FROM COUNTRY TO THE BLUES & ROCK TO BLUEGRASS! HE IS NO DOUBT A GENRE UNTO HIMSELF. PERIOD! A GREAT EXAMPLE OF HIS COUNTRY SIDE IS NOBODY TO BLAME!
He takes it to church in Tennessee Whiskey. You feel it in your soul.
Wow, I did not expect you to react to Chris Stapleton to be honest! But I'm glad you are, one of my favorite artists at the moment. React to "I Was Wrong" either studio or live, or both ;)
Sam Cooke!!! Thank You!!!!
Fire away hits your feels
Smooth soul not afraid to show and tell a woman what she needs and wants she to hear.
Need to listen to Chris while he was with the steeldrivers a lot of amazing songs made while he was with that group. One of my favorites is if it hadn’t been for love
You really need to watch the Austin City limits performance of this song , and I was wrong,,,it's amazing!!!!!! Also listen to Somtimes I cry,,,,Love your reaction!!!
I’m totally with you on Sam Cooke. I hear him in Chris, too.
He was a song writer first to some of the great singers his wife is his back up singer and she is great too ..
Damn, you nailed it!! Sam Cooke for sure!! I was wondering who he reminded me of for a long time now.
Oh my gosh! I liked this before I even watched it! I love you and I love Chris Stapleton & JT. Chris will be your newest obsession... 2015, CMA's, he won
*'Best New Country Artist'
*'Album of the Year'
*'Male Vocalist of the Year'...
THAT COMBO OF AWARDS IS UNHEARD OF
Their performance that night? Lord Jesus... We are ALL better people just hearing it...
Enjoy!!!
❤❤❤
This video for 'Fire Away' won Chris the award for Music Video of the Year 2016... Lord, I cry every time I watch it... punches me right in the 'thoat' EVERY TIME 😢
The way you describe what we need today in our music. You need to listen to chris song sometimes i cry wow.!
Tennessee Whiskey is classic and dearly loved by us old married folks.
So many artists have covered the song "how great thou art" and the song is so beautiful.....
Nobody has ever touched my soul with that song as deeply as Carrie Underwood.
I feel amazingly blessed and filled with joy when i play it, and it is on 2 of my playlists! The comments you made throughout your reaction video are spot on!
I am brand new to your channel so i haven't a clue what you have reacted to in the past. Just a suggestion, I love the song "Jesus take the wheel" by Carrie Underwood. Bet you will be glad you listened even if you dont do a reaction video. The song will move you.😇
Thank you....i really enjoyed watching you!
Now, on to Chris Stapleton!
Tennessee whiskey is a cover. Originally sung by David Allan Coe
The version by George Jones was better known than Cole's.
LGrugett I agree. It was said that it saved George Jones's career
Jones's version was first
Play Etta James "I'd rather go blind" and lay over the lyrics to Tennessee Whiskey and viola...the Chris Stapleton version. It's a great way to breathe new life into a song but I wish people recognized the Etta James contribution to this song also.
I highly suggest going to see him. "One thing bout music, when it hits you, you feel no pain"
Chris has a varied background. He's a prodigious writer and composer. Hes played in a rock band and took the bluegrass world by storm. As the f RT into man for the Steeldrivers. I'm a bluegrass fan and I've loved him for years. He was a gem that when given the opportunity he just floored everyone. I recommend you listen to all his music. He will amaze you. There is a channel on Spotify of songs written by him and performed by some of the countrys finest. The man is pure soul through and through.
You are going to love Chris Stapleton...He has written many hit songs for other artists, including Adele...Do your research. I enjoy your reactions always...
New sub for this reac tion! That was fire. Every song Chris sings he sings with soul and I mean every song. If hes singing blues, country, bluegrass or rock. For Fire Away there is a video on youtube with the director, actor and Chris and they talk about mental illness. Loving someone with that issue, taking everything they can throw at ya and standing by them. Beautiful.
Stapleton is one of the best writers of our generations. He wrote so many songs for other authors but then finally broke out himself saving some of his best songs for himself. Dude is a badass. Also, that say something music video was taken in one shot. Unlike most videos where they shoot then lay over studio recordings, this was all natural. If you wear studio headphones you will see how great it really is because you can hear a direction difference from where the mic and camera are pointed at and where each singer is.
Fun fact. This was all done in one take. Amazing.
Black folks love Chris
He got that soul!!!!!
This video just made me a subscriber!! What a raw and wholesome reaction! Keep the energy going bro!🙌
Same here.
Chris has written for many many famous artists from all genres. Chris and JT and others wrote this song. They made a made of the song and performed it perfectly in one take..1, unbelievable!
You know something pple don't have anymore, SOUL a soul! That is the damn TRUTH!! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Stapletons voice is a gift and yeh Sam Cooke for sure man (love Sam Cooke)
His Death Row and his James brown tribute Mans World
yeah these two are really good
Yup, I heard the soul too. It went straight into my soul, that's how you know.
This video to Fire Away gets to me every time
