Shakey please release this version of the song it's so much better than the other version
OMG THANK YOU to the camera person/cinematography genius who made this music so intimate and public- for once, I wasn't wanting to see another angle or shot- or feel that I was missing out by not being there in person or seeing the wide shot. You were my eye- and where I would have hovered and focused for this song.
ive been watching this video for eleven years now, and it still sounds fresh
Still one of my favorite songs/videos of all time 11 years later, I’ll see yall again at 21
Listening 10 years after listening to it, this is gold, I hope you're still writing good tunes bud! You have a talent
Shakey puts on one of the best live shows I've ever seen in my LIFE!
Thank you Shakey Graves. This was 9 years ago??? Adding this to the soundtrack of my life.
such a jam. even 11 years later.
Listen to this song about twice a year! Love it! This young man deserves to be wealthy and happy! Talented to no end!
This is the best version, he changes the tempo in later performances and it loses the magic of this one IMO
I love the way he alternately slows the tempo down, then speeds it back up in other versions
It's a bit crazy but this bloke saved my life I was at a crossroads , this one tune, changed my mind. I am still here , and I love this song still. Peace love and happiness
Glad you are still with us. I was there, sometimes still am. Stay strong.
The juice is always worth the squeeze mate
This is the most up beat song about an execution probably ever

This song just has that something that makes you fall in love with it....the story....the beat....pure raw talent
Hah. Back when he used to sit on the kick drum. *wipes away single tear*
You need to release this version. It's 1000x better than your other version
The same thing with cure what ails, the npr tiny desk version is soo much better then the studio.
This was a moment in this mans life that will be cemented in the experience of thousands... Jams baby.... Jams....
This has to be the 50th time I've watched since revisiting a few days ago.
11 out of 10......... I can't get enough of this song.
I just met him 2 days ago at Summerfest. I had never really listened to him so I had no idea how big of a name he was in the music industry.. But he was so friendly and nice I thought "well geez this guy is too friendly to be famous!" Such a nice guy, friendlier than you could imagine, and witty too, he blew an amp and played it off so well, said "alright nows the men in black moment *makes neuralyzer (thingy that makes people forget) with fingers* .. Hi I'm Shakey Graves!*. And he's also very very smart
Simply put- where’s this voice been my whole life until now?!
This might be my favorite video on the internet. Fucking incredible, just keep coming back years later.
His guitar playing at the beginning is so captivating he doesnt even need to sing...
One of the greatest expressions of music this world has ever seen
Shakey Graves needs to see the extraordinarily overwhelming flood of positive comments that this video has achieved. He is practically God-like. Unbelievable skill and talent just radiates out of him. This is THE best version of this song and what brought me to his world. A beautiful world, indeed. THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Saw him in NY last month. Best night of our lives. We've been fans since his first song, and he exceeded all expectations !!! Legit he's the coolest person ever.
I can't explain how much I feel when listening to him play.
Sweet Jesus. I trolled around and stumbled on this video. This guy is awesome. Added to my favorite artists
..Found by watching The Handsome Family and Slaid Cleaves videos.
Man I’ve listened to this song so many time I first found it on here back when no one else knew about it , And That makes me Happy!!!
Eleven Years man.... That's hard to believe.
I would take 25% of this man's musical talent and still be a damn good musician. That's the level he's at.
What if you only received 24% of his musical talent?
"Shakey Graves!" I love his story, music , his whole persona and aura! Long may he live his legend! What a great artist and interesting character he is.😎✌
Nailed it. Been listening to this for over 10 years. Happy to see its still popular.
