    The gorge is so deep and cold that trout can be caught almost year round down there. Nice job guys. (Especially Dad) haha

    Just Quick question, do you need any special permit to go to NYPA deck and what time its open for fishing?

      Thanks Augustine! All you need is a NY fishing license, and it opens April 1st, sunrise, weather permitting 👍👍

    What setup was Mark using when he caught that 2nd laker? Rod, reel, mainline, leader & lure? Awesome day out there, your old man beat you to it this time haha. Tight lines!

      Rod: 9ft fenwick eagle salmon/steelhead spinning rod. Reel: pflueger summit xt. 15lb braid to 12lb fluro with a spinner 👍👍

    Back in the mid to late 90' s lots of lake trout in teens in the Oswego River. I was lucky enough to get up there a few times. Lakers in current are the equivalent of strippers on light tackle. Pulled hard and were aggressively feeding all fish ate the bait

      This platform is the NYPA, you can find all shore access points at the link below! Although I think the whirlpool stairs are close now👍
