Growing up my brother and I would sit on the porch and break beans, shuck corn, shell peas whichever until all was done. Then we would eat lunch and then have the rest of the day and night to play, go swimming, etc. Mom used a pressure cooker and I would run like crazy when she would release the pressure and take the lid off... Precious memories...😂😂
Awesome job, Amy! By the book all the way, no botulism spores are being allowed to make someone sick! I’m a long time canner and it does my heart good to see a mom preserving food for her family’s benefit. There was a spot of confusion for me when you said remove or add your pressure gauge, you mean add or remove your weight. The gauge doesn’t get removed. I’m sure you know this but newbies might not.
Brings back wonderful memories sitting on the front porch steps taking both ends off the green beans then breaking them into pieces. We picked them out of the garden my grandfather planted u til his death then my uncle planted. Miss my grandparents and my uncle.
I am way less intimidated to can green beans now! I never thought of getting vegetables in bulk from local farms. Great idea if you're someone without a large enough garden!
I love watching your videos, you always explain everything, making it easy to understand what you are showing us. I really enjoyed your live video, it was amazing watching your creativity come to life. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend 💞
Enjoy all of your videos however, I really look forward to these ones! I've only ever experimented with water bath canning. I did can your salsa recipe last August, it was very simple and turned out wonderful! Definitely just made me inspired to do more canning this summer 😊 Thank you!!
I’m definitely getting more into food preservation! Did dill pickles, salsa and peaches last year. This year already did pickled jalapenos and a strawberry lemonade concentrate. 100% water bath canning, wanting to get into pressure canning but definitely more fearful for me haha! Love your videos, especially the baking and canning as they give such good ideas!

That will be so nice to add that to add to your pantry
We have some coming on in our garden so I hope we get enough to can
God bless
I like to snap beans outside in the shade when I can mine. We planted 4 rows this year so I will be busy! Thanks for sharing your canning experience!

My grandma did a lot of canning. But we use different jars in Germany.
I planted a lot of green beans this year, in hopes of canning what we need for the year. Great video!
Very good explanation!
I enjoy listening to videos from Sean McDowell on RUclips.
Takes me back to childhood when my mom and me would can all kinds of things. We broke a lot of green beans!!😊

I am very surprised that you didn't use hot boiling water in your jars after putting beans in.!! Did you have your lids and rings in hot water?
How many zinc tablets do you add per jar?
I added two per quart jar
I'm very surprised that you didn't use boiling water to fill your jars. Did you fill jars with water while waiting for canner to finish?
What happened to shopping for yourself?
