      Aww I feel you! I know it could be overwhelming… trust me i was sooo stressed when going through this whole process! I think you can register, but they’re gonna have to wait til they receive your ECE report before sending you an email that you’re eligible to take the inbde. So you can register, but can’t do anything til your ECE report is ready. P.S. dont worry, ECE works very quickly!

    Good day Doc Sandy :)
    Thank you so much for the awesome video I really appreciate it with your fantastic video I didn't get challenging to apply but I got a couple of questions.
    1. If I re-apply for the INBDE due to failure or fail will I still need to make ECE again?
    2. is there no expiration of INBDE? Like Tofel?

    • @sandypriyawatkim
      @sandypriyawatkim  Год назад +1

      To be honest, I don't know the answers to your questions, but I did some research and I think for INBDE, it depends on the dental schools you're applying for. Some require INBDE that has been taken within the last 3 years or 5 years.
      As for the ECE, I think you should be able to use the same one as long as it's still valid.

    Hi Sandy, great video very helpful! Quick question, once ECE sends report to JCNDE, how would they know that I am applying for INBDE in specific and not for ADAT for example? or will they reach out to me with that question? Thanks

    • @sandypriyawatkim
      @sandypriyawatkim  Год назад

      I don't think the ECE report needs to be specific for any type of test. They're just converting your credits to U.S. credits, so you can use that to apply for INBDE or any other tests/schools. However, each test/school may require a different type of report (e.g. Course by course evaluation or General report). Just find out what they need and apply accordingly!

    Thanks

    • @sandypriyawatkim
      @sandypriyawatkim  2 года назад

      I’ve done evaluations from both WES and ECE and based on my experience, I would definitely recommend ECE! The evaluations were much quicker and I could contact them easily via the ECE live chat. With WES, it was a little bit difficult to contact someone. But it all depends on what your dental school accepts though. If they accept both then that’s great! :)

    3) Educational history mentions a disclaimer if post secondary level (University) of education is completed there's no need of high school. It means no need of 10 to h 11th and 12th class have i got it right?

      1) Indian address will do (I also used a Thai address and phone number)
      2) ECE evaluation for the purpose of applying for the INBDE only needs to be sent to JCNDE/ADA as a general report.
      3) From my understanding, I think you only need to put your university level in. But just to be safe, I entered my high school education information as well.
      4) I am not too certain about this, but I think they should be okay to send over, since they're just trying to convert your grades from your transcript to a U.S. equivalent grade.

    Hey Sandy, thanks for the information, its really helpful for everyone here who wants to get a license in the US. Uhm I have few questions that i want to ask.
    1. Should I pick the school first and then take the Inbde based on school’s schedule? Or Can I take the Inbde (if I pass) first then apply to few schools? Or it doesn’t matter?
    2. Can I apply for the school first without passing the Inbde test? If i graduate the dental school(in the Philippines) and tell them im gonna take the test before I graduate the dental program in the States.
    3. It seems like each States have different requirements(California, or New york, or Chicago etc). Do we need other requirements other than Inbde test based on the different States?
    4. People who have graduated the dental school no matter which country is, able to apply for the Inbde and the dental schools in the States?
    Thank you in advance and sorry for too much question 😅😅

    • @sandypriyawatkim
      @sandypriyawatkim  2 года назад +2

      Hi. I'll try my best to answer all of your questions!
      1. I would recommend you pick the school first before taking the INBDE so you have a clear deadline. But if you choose to take the INBDE first then apply, that works too. I just prefer the first option because I don't want to give myself too much or too little time to prepare for the INBDE.
      2. I don't think you can apply for the school without passing the INBDE. It's a requirement for all the schools I applied to, and I think this is probably the case for other schools too.
      3. Each school has different requirements. For most schools, the tests they expect you take include INBDE and TOEFL. I've seen some schools mention ADAT, but that's usually not a requirement.
      4. People who have graduated dental school from any other country is able to apply to take the INBDE. I'd suggest you apply for international programs for dentists instead of the regular dental schools, since it allows you to save time and the competition isn't as tough. This website has a list of schools that offers international dental programs: www.adea.org/dental_education_pathways/CAAPID/Pages/CAAPIDDirectory.aspx
      Hope this helps!

      @@sandypriyawatkim Hi sandy . im sina . fresh graduate in dentistry (DMD) . here in philippines but originally im iranian . i want to ask what is the very first step that should i take. Find a university? Or directly apply for NBDE and student visa? Do I still need to take the 2 additional years before I get my license?

      @@love1234458 Hi Sina! That’s a really good question! Practicing dentistry in the United States require you to take an additional 2 years, even if you have already graduated as a dentist from another country. If you are certain that that’s what you’ll be doing, the first step that I would recommend is to look for a university that provides an international dental program, and see when their application deadlines are so you can start planning out your test dates. Once you have a few schools in mind, you can start applying for the INBDE and book your test dates based on those application deadlines. Hope this helps!
