You cannot practice dentistry in the US without passing the INBDE. I'm not sure I see the point in completing a PGY1 if you have not passed the INBDE.

Well it’s for those who due to some reason cannot give Inbde , obviously the INBDE will increase your chances and eventually the state requirement be fulfiled

I was told that the residency tobe applied through pass website and they mandate INBDE and ToEfL scores for application submission, please share if there’s an alternative approach if any university will accepts application directly?

I told PASS and they said INBDE isnt necessary, GRE is a must.

Yeah, do to their website and you will see many universities and their criteria. I am also searching. So far I found Michigan is accepting without INBDE.

Is it possible that i pursue residency in some other state and appear for licensure exam in another state ? eg. newyork state doesnt allow licensure exam with a bds degree, so completing a residency exam in NYS and appear for licensure exam in state where bds is eligible ?
