Very informative podcast. In UT Houston school of dentistry they are saying to do 6-12 months of perceptorship before getting into AEGD program. But there is no mention of that in your video.
As sir mentioned about the fact that aegd programme in connecticut offers stipend to students and after aegd in residency programmes also students do get stipend...all this is possible only if you have a PR or is it possible on visa?
I wanted to know as I live in New York... Is residency in orthodontics helps to get Lisence as dentist in New York? Because website says any dental residency of 2 yrs is also eligible to apply for Lisence As dentist in US.
Loved the way its explained beautifully. Just a little suggestion for further podcasts with Dr. Thakkar, As you know a fresh graduate would have pretty low clinical experience, Could you let us know which courses to opt for before AEGD that will strengthen our CV as a fresh graduate?
Yes. We are planning another podcast on the same. Hope you will subscribe and click the bell icon to receive the notification when its planned and upload :)
First of all, thank you for this meaningful video. I want to contact to Dr. Mayank..please can you describe me how can I contact him? I have a lot of queries related to AEGD.
@@Aspire32 Okay. Thank you so much for responding and helping. Now the NBDE exam is being replaced by INDBE exam, can you make a video on that as well?
I was wondering why the different types of dentist do not specify AEGD/GPR by their name as it makes them harder to find! I was told by an exceptional DDS in the DC area to go and SPECIFICALLY SEE this type of generalist, BUT in a search you can't tell what you are finding! I am 32 and have such bad oral issues (was left in oral hell as a child!) how do you know what you're getting!?! I'm literally weeping writing this as there's no damn way and for almost 13 years due to my issues and being on medicaid and for part of it being a child (thankfully now I have Obamacare) I was drinking through straws and I have no BS way to use this advice! I have even been told by some in the field as the issue is hard to see as it is now and due to do no harm screw you we don't see it! Stay in pain on the left side permanently and only eat out of your right side while wanting permanently remove your mouth by your own two hands! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Thank you for sharing the precious experience!! Also, Virginia State is the only one that accept only 1 year (12 months) of GPR to get to a license.
Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic podcast! Thank you Dr Shenvi and Dr Kakkar for the valuable information.
