Having never ventured into AX combat at all, I would just like to say a hugh thankyou, for all the time spent putting this amazing comprehensive video together with all the links below in your description. I looked at every one and copied your links to EDSY and placed them in an email to myself so that I would have them "in case I ever needed them". Very best regards, Cmdr [BRAVO 2 ZERO] - Buur Pit Sqn.
The concept of using basline "worst " ship is something i did organically. As an old school.gamer, i appreciate every single ship and wanted to be respectable in each one...i like that u hold similar philosophy!❤😊
What a nice list! Imma make the eagle and hate myself 'cause I'll suck with it, but imma try anyway! :D Can I use an Imperial Eagle btw? Or is the normal Eagle mandatory? thx!
The Imperial Eagle works too, but because of power distributor limitations, they both fight with 3 small gauss cannons. And the extra acceleration of the Eagle makes it easier to fly versus the lower acceleration / higher top speed of the iEagle. You never, EVER, boost with this ships in combat (you'd go way too fast and swing out of range.) So iEagle will work - just know its smaller sibling is easier to fight in.
Is there any usefulness of guardian SLF's? I wish theyd have a modified version with a flak launcher and more hull and shield overall. Are there any fun builds that use yhat?
Guardian SLFs are tricky: - They die instantly in Maelstrom systems, so simply can't use them there - They die instantly to interceptor (phasing) cannon fire, and near-instantly to swarm shots - They have no heatsinks to be able to avoid damage at all - They reportedly create lag for everyone in the instance if piloted by an NPC, so everyone in a group will hate you for deploying one when others are around So, unfortunately, short of flying around in "safe" areas, there aren't many combat scenarios where it makes sense to use them.
Always long range on lasers for AX. The extra range is nice, and the falloff on anything other than LR weapons is crippling at the orbiting ranges of AX.
@@banzabreizdude On sensors, because there will be situations where you drift out of 7km range and being able to get your bearings quickly and close range is often the difference between salvaging the fight and the interceptor losing interest and waking out mid-fight. Also, the speed benefit of LW vs LR for D-rated sensor is tiny on all but a small handful (of usually very small) ships.

The 6 mod shard kablamaconda is also a fun one
It's great for gibbing clops at AXCZs for sure, and for making sure most hyperdictions truly regret pulling you!

@@Astyrrean thats so frustrating, I really want a reason to go and get them. Wish theyd add azimuth variants that are much better
@@brodyestes2376 So do we all. Ever since Thargoids gained phasing damage, they have been practically useless with their paper hulls sadly.
Why long range on solo ship? never gonna end up at more than 7 km of the interceptor anyways

My bad i was talking about sensor, i should have precised
