YES I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! I used to watch Lifetime all day. Especially when I was home from school on bed rest while pregnant, or just plain old sick! They were very emotional. But they opened up my eyes about a lot of things especially toxic relationships, and teenage pregnancies. They got to you to your core!! I TRULY wish they would come back with movies like this again!!!!

My mom and I were incredibly close. She made me feel like I could go to her with anything and everything, and I did.
She even told me once, “There are some things I *don’t* need to know.” 🤣🤣🤣 I cracked up laughing…and so did she. I held nothing back from her. She passed away unexpectedly when I was 21; she was 55. I miss her so much. She was an AMAZING mom, and I wish all daughters could be as open with their moms as I was with mine.
EDIT: 1k likes?!? Oh my gosh. Thank you all so much. 🥹♥️

We had a coach like this. He'd mess around with the cheerleaders and he did it for 20+ years. He started teaching Drivers Education a few years before I started High School, I had heard the rumors but didn't think he'd ever bother me. During DE, you have a partner, the last day my partner was absent, as we finished the last day I excitedly asked "Did I pass!?" He reached over & rubbed my leg & replied "I don't know, Did you?".. I was frozen, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I pulled into the school parking lot & started walking home. The next day he handed me a slip saying I had failed my Drivers Ed course. When I got home my mom asked if I was ready to go get my license, I showed her the slip & she said "You've had all 100%,how could you have failed" i told her what happened... that night she told my dad. My dad had went to school with him & knew about his reputation.... when we told the school what had happened, he denied everything, said the fail slip was an accident and passed me. Several years later he was officially busted!!!!

Calling her explosives and saying she's a liar or dressing like a whor3😩😩😩😭😭 soy he is still the principal today 😭😩😩😩😩
But my mother hated sending her daughters to public school, she ended up homeschooling us, and who could blame her, seriously? When I was in 4th grade and had a male teacher, she freaked out when she saw the lttl closet area with the phone inside of the class room, because her own a user(teacher) would hide her in the closet so nobody would are her.

Even my best friend who knew the whole truth was calling me these names and talking about me behind my back. I have felt this exact pain.

We actually had something similar happen at our school... it's hard to remember all the details at this point, but I recall we had a handsome coach (as a teen I remember being attracted to him, as I'm sure many girls were) and he was overall very popular/well liked. And I think it came out that he was having "inappropriate" relationships with students.. I don't know what came of it though.

When I was in high school my psychology teacher showed up at my house to see me one night. Just to talk. I was shocked. I stood outside and talked because I knew my Dad would have a fit. When I went inside after he left my Dad asked who that was and I told him. He was livid. Shortly after that the teacher was fired. When I asked the other students if any one knew why, they said they heard a parent complained about inappropriate behavior toward their kid. All the students were mad and wanted to know who the student was. I was afraid my Dad was the one who called the school which was the kind of Dad he was! I never asked because I didn’t want to know. This was back in 1978. The teacher was very popular with the students but that was way over the line.

And when he wrote what he wrote in my journal, that wasn't all he wrote, he also said that it was his loss and had drawn a smiley face. That's not appropriate to write to a 13 year old girl. There were already rumors circling about him at school, about his advances towards other female students and he would purposefully ask them to stay after class and then when they missed their bus, he would drive them home, it wasn't a one time and isolated incident. He would also find the Simpsons episodes of the big breasted beer girl, literally just those. And the first time that he leaned back in his chair, his head bounced off my rear, that was the last and only time because I figured out a way to walk around him.

Kinda heartbreaking in the opening scene....seeing her stuffed animal collection and watching her putting on makeup --- no longer a little kid but not yet a woman...

I had a teacher just like this in the 8th grade. Me being so young, not ever at that point had a "real" boyfriend, kinda made me feel pretty special. NOTHING ever happened but he would pat me on the butt, hold my hand, get me out of class to , yep, grade papers and "work" with him, especially once he started in the office. Im pretty sure these men know exactly what to look for so they can get what they want and make it seem everything is ok, talks the girl into, this is what she wanted.

      Must be a culture thing,
In India you would be surprised but even 6 year old girl child knows that touching no matter what who do is wrong

I know what it’s like to be 14, innocent AND crushing on a 20-something year old man. The guy kept me at a distance until one day aggressively making out with me. I didn’t like his kissing style but thought ‘that’s what love must be like’. It went no further than that. It was torture. This movie plays it out accurately how confusing and exciting adolescence is and I don’t blame girls like Amy one bit.
