I am watching it right now I can't tell you how many times I've seen this movie I fully believe that things wouldn't have escalated so far had the girl's father taken precaution or realize that Kurt is actually a dangerous stalker
Yes indeed they are their pretty entertaining, dramatic chaotic but very educational to watch.I always feel terrible for the victims but at least they become strong minded fearless survivors in the end, when their battling evil crazy ass Psychopaths though.
And before 70s 80s early 90s Rest is all fake sexy girls, terrible acting and even worse plots and scripts.... When special effects took over acting went out the window...
There was a man at my church I went to when I was in middle school. He was very overly affectionate. Always caressing my arm, my shoulder, my back. And I would always move away from him. I told my stepmom how uncomfortable he made me feel and she said that he was harmless and that he was in love with her during high school and on and on about her. One day he went up to shake my hand and I refused. He forcibly grabbed my hand and pulled me close and said “good little girls don’t tell men no”. It scared the absolute shit out of me. I told my dad, crying, that I was afraid of him. My dad patted me on the back and said I would be okay. That he would handle it. My father is a very stoic, big man. After that day that man didn’t say another word to me. Didn’t even look at me. My dad and stepmom are now divorced too. So there’s that. 😂

And this is exactly why do not ever let them take your right to bear arms . criminals will not turn in their guns and I sure will not mine . to dangerous for us women out here and even men this worlds gone crazy as a stalker victim the law could only do so much but my right to bear arms worked
there are people who have mental illness. their brain waves are sending all the wrong messages. we all hate them but they can't help it too. it is just frustrating how some of these people get around the law and get away with whatever it is that they are doing. we are lucky we are not living in the year that this movie was made/ based on. our laws nowadays are slowly covering grounds of what could have happened if these types of behavior and actions don't stop.
I have a stalker, a 60 some year old man who believes we're soulmates and going to be king and queen of the world someday and he has magical powers and choke people with them and control the weather and make rain and other crap and still doesn't get the hint I do not like him and am terrified of him and want him to leave me alone!
Samantha Forette,I agree with you.As a childless single man,I have 100% control of my sexual desires by waiting for a childless single female to do all the talking to me when there's no act of courtesy, emergency, work,or business involved.I'm not like these men who make assumptions, take the wrong chances and wrong advice about the meeting anti-social females, emulating the tactics that other men use to meet anti-social females, and get their hopes up on and caught up in the wrong things or the wrong way of right things wasting their time, breath, energy, and motion on females who aren't interested in them.If I waited days, weeks, months, and years for a childless single female to tell me what type of pleasure can she have with me that I expect her to have with me and she don't mention about,it then I would leave her alone and forget about her like she wants me to, and if there are men who have it difficult to follow my example, this may sound strange coming from me and sound like it don't relate to this subject matter, but I hope it works for the sake of decreasing the chances of harassment of females and other matters as well.Men who are both childless, single, and sexually addicted should go find out where can they determine their chances of becoming a father before they have sex with a female which means that men should know if they"re sterile and they won't be able to impregnate a female after having sex. Then find out how, where, and why people take the time, energy, and motion to use their hands to make statues, dolls, puppets, mannequins, dummies, action figures, and robots so childless single men can be hopefully influenced use their time to either buy or make robot females with their own hands so that it can help them leave alone and forget the females who aren't interested in these men.Thank you and I hope my suggestion was helpful.
I remember I was in 3rd grade and I was completely enthralled with this movie. It was as if I was learning how to be prepared to help others in case of that happening. Lol idk, I was a weird kid. Love this movie still! Scary as hell but still really good!
To me that aint werid. If anything that was great that you took a film like this seriously as a real guide to observe and report potential stalkers. Movies like this (if it didn't happen) should truly b shown in schools to help teach students that there are truly awful ppl like this that terrify youngsters/teens.
@@JW-uy2on I was just going to say that and quite frankly the law is there still not on the side of the victim. It's very elusive they get away with a lot until they get their hands on you and either you're dead raped or whatever else they were looking to do to you they get to do it and get away with it or barely get anytime at all behind bars.
@@JW-uy2on not all cops will like that and aren't now but unfortunately the ones that were passionate and trying to help women and men being stalked is not just women women could be extremely dangerous as well let's just use the Jody Arias as an example. And I would be, out there, too, in the dark, waiting with either one of my dogs. An American Bandogge mastiff or American Staffordshire terrier. Oh. A rifle, too.
Back when thia happened there were no such things as anti stalking laws in florida. And with the assault on the boyfriend, if his guardian doesn't press charges then the police won't/cant do anything. Everything he had been on probation for was misdemeanors and most places only ask about felonies. He could have also pleaded no contest to everything and he is basically admitting guilt but not pleading guilty. The system was and still is messed up.
Haven't seen this movie in years. Thank you for the mother continuing to fight for her daughter. The father he really seems like a chump. I hope Laurisa is having a wonderful and healthy life after this horrific deal. Last I heard about her, she was an engineer and was married but that was years ago.
I thought the same about the father when I first saw this film, back in the 1990s. But nowadays, I realize that he was rather limited in what he could do......especially back then. No stalking-laws really existed, for one thing.....as Mrs. Annello fought for. A second: If he had hit or killed Curt, he would have gone to prison for years, maybe forever. Laurisa would be safer but her life would be destroyed without her dad. It was a no-win situation.
@@taracollins5597 Not necessarily because if he had hit Kurt eventually he would have healed up and the Father would have gone to jail or Prison for Assault and Battery 🪫🔋 and there would have been no one around to protect Larisa
This mother did everything to protect her, and this guy just keeps pushing! I am glad she took it further to the legislature and passed the stacking law! Sad it took this extreme procedure!
I have plenty of common sense to know that your crazy for writing a long ass paragraph about a fucking movie that is old and not even important. IQ, really? You would let a man beat the shit out of you because his intelligence quotient is higher than yours. C'mon be serious. Obviously, the man needed to be in a secluded mental facility.
Hey, simmer down, batts2008. I don't see where Chiterra even said beat him up or bash someone's face in. She simply stated how annoying it is to see a dad be so passive about another adult stalking his underage daughter. And it was obnoxious for me to watch as well. His attitude at home was "don't worry too much about it." Even at the beginning of the movie, he knows that Kurt likes Laurisa and he teases his wife by saying "There's your son in law." Creepy! No, he doesn't HAVE to bash Kurt's head in to show somewhere in the movie that he has frustration/disgust that his daughter is being stalked like any rational, breathing being would. It was an unrealistic portrayal. But I think they just wanted to show two sides, so they had the mom go all the way one way and the father all the way the other. Anyway, be nice! This is YT for crying out loud, not a debate club.
I don't like what her best friend said about Larissa being into older men after knowing that she's being watched stalked followed she should never have said that!
Not all mothers are protective some are and some aren't there's dad's that do protect their kids not all of them are like Mr Anello you should watch this movie call FEAR from 1996 where this man was doing everything to protect his daughter from her psychopath Boyfriend!
There is such a ignorance that is astounding, they are asleep unconcious covering up eachothers evil lusts they need to make it a murder of inocense, mind body and soul lets take molest, rape ,of children sodomy of boys girls and women and men and give them the death sentance, better yet put the men or women in LEVEL 4 PRISON IN THE SEX OFFENDERS UNIT A D ,LET THEM GET THIER GET THERE JUST TORTUROUS REWARD FOR LIFE...JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED GET THAT! BB
The actor that portrayed Laurisa's stalker is Tom Kurlander. He was in a few movies years ago. Not sure if he still acts or not but if he does, here's another stalker role he could play should it ever get made into a TV movie...one that is based on Hank Wise, a deranged, delusional man that stalked a Nashville, Tennessee karaoke host, Nikki Goeser and gunned down her husband Ben, also a karaoke host. Nikki is a gun rights activist. From time to time, she is on FOX News.
Whats sad about this movie is that it is a true story, that poor girl had no life in her younger years. She was right in her line about she was the one on probation and he got away with everything. Laws might be a little stricter now but restraining order is just a piece of paper unless you can get real proof. I still think there should be stricter laws on this subject.
country girl There are laws on the books now because of people like Mrs. Anello who took the fight to the state legislature. Unfortunately it's cases like this that a lot of unfortunate souls had to live through to get these laws passed. People like Curt are dangerous assholes who need to be jailed to keep them from repeating their crimes.
Sad thing is there are still issues with stalkers not getting the jail time they deserve. Granted this helped make awareness but there are thousands of people killed every year because of a stalker so it hasn't gone away
And it was so creepy when Laurisa is crying on court, reading his sick letters...and he's smiling and gazing at her like nothing is happening! He doesn't care a bit how upset she is.
I had a stalker when I was 16 (he was 19). He was a friend of my older sister who wouldn't take no for answer; asked me out so many times...He would follow my little sister and I home from school everyday, he threw drinks at me and even tried to run me over. He finally quit after my step mom practically jumped over the McD's counter he was working at, purposely made a scene (which got him fired on the spot), and threatened to send my dad after him if he didn't leave me alone (my dad is very old-school Italian; it wouldn't have ended pretty). She also went directly to his family about it & we were eventually granted a restraining order. Took almost a year.......ugh........
@@SKR9HaXoN There are female stalkers too, Remember the movie the crush with Alicia Silverstone? She was obsessed with a Tennant that rents from her parents. The line at 1:15:25 breaks my heart. The mom felt so helpless that she thought that was the only thing she could do to protect her daughter. And NO ONE should ever feel like that’s their only solution. 😢

Laws don't matter when they are not enforced so many women are killed by guys they have restraining orders against it's just a piece of paper and often the victim is blamed or the crime is minimized. Sad realities. Considering lots of rapists and abusers don't even get convicted of any crime is relevant too.

A 24 year old took an interest in my 14 y.o. daughter. I brought him to my martial arts class then out to coffee and warned him off. Never heard from him again. Three years? No fracking way. The father is worth no more than a bag of rocks.
The way stalking is not taken seriously from the get go is so dangerous! i have watched real life cases here in the UK where the early signs of stalking were so lightly explained away, only to end so fatally. It must be devastating for victims of this! awful. the father pissed me off to be honest. I hope all of us who watch this take away some good lessons and to all those who have survived this, may peace strength and freedom find you in abundance. xx
this movie reminds me of Miya maricano a lovely young woman who was murdered by a crazy ass guy who was obsessed with her then he ended up killing her just cuz she rejected him her story is so sad that I hate to think about it just to know how she died when it could have been prevented had someone done anything she would still be here
this case seems to have been when the issue of stalking was just coming to light.... and to this day, there's "nothing the police can do about it." i wonder why no one in the field has come up with a way to keep victims safe because it almost always ends in tragedy.
It doesn't help when one of her friend teases her about being stalked. Always making comments that she has an older boyfriend, likes older men Etc I mean that is really insensitive. That is not a joke when she knows her friend is scared and frustrated. Some friend she is.
slonekettering25 oh, I know! me and my mom saw this when I was a kid. I remember thinking, if she confronts him, face to face, would he actually hurt her, cause any time he ever talked to her, he seemed nervous! people like this upset me so incredibly bad! I mean, he supposedly loves her, but yet he goes to great lengths to scare her. there's another lmn movie kind of like this called Eye Of The Stalker 1995. its up here on RUclips. I just got finished watching it. its really really good, but the guy in it is such a snob, it hurts. LOL! you should check it out😊
Would he actually hurt her, theres a good chance of it yes....Jason Eric Massey, July 26, 1993, killed a 14 year old girl, and 13 year old boy. When they found his journal entitled "Slayer's Book of Death" they read within its pages his desire to KILL a certain girl because he "loves her"...also that he wanted to become the most prolific serial killer in American history. Thats just ONE of numerous accounts of killings out of "love" for the victim.
Michelle Elks Unfortunately there are numerous cases of stalkers committing crimes of violence against their victims (kidnapping, rape, murder). There is a distinct possibility that had the police officer & Mr. Anello not arrived at the house when they did, that Curt could and possibly WOULD have done something horrible to her.
My daughter had a stalker at a very young age, one night (thankfully) she was not home ,and he came by the house and shot her bedroom window out it was so scary to go through ,it was just my younger daughter and I home alone. Cops took over 4 hours to come because we were not priority or an emergency case. She was such a brave girl and went through whole court proceedings to gain restraining orders from him and his father since they were both threatening to kill her and the family. She faced them head on in court and held her stare when they tried to intimidate her she never backed down not once. Of course we were right beside and behind her every single step of the way. We took immediate measures to ensure the safety of our family. Got a guard dog that was well trained and ready to protect, hot guns and made sure the girls were familiar with them and comfortable handling them. Even though we felt a little more safe it was far from over and we put in an excess amount of calls to the police department dealing with harrasment and stalking from them. I certainly forgot what sleeping was as my husband worked nights and I would stay awake to make sure girls were ok. It started to take a toll on us...my daughter was such a great student cheerleading with the high school, coaching, she had a part time job ,she had her future planned out and was thriving towards it,then PTSD hit and shes never been the same. I lost her emotionally, she is not the same person at all. He damaged her. Shes still reaching her goals in life and I'm so proud of everything she has accomplished, a career buying her own car and home etc but I lost the girl we had worked so hard at giving a full happy life. To see her smile is so rare and that's what hurts the most.
Best thing in the world you can do is be armed and train, especially women. The media will never tell you this fact because they have an agenda, but according to CDC numbers 500,000 to 3,000,000 lives are saved each year due to the defensive use of firearms. Criminals do not follow laws, period and the only people gun laws harm are law abiding citizens that are the only people to be disarmed under strict gun laws. The police show up after crimes are committed to document what happened and if there are no good guys with a gun then the bad guys with a gun will win everytime. There should be zero Gun Free Zone signs put up anywhere unless you want to be a sitting target. Things change when criminals have to wonder who they are up against and what kind of weapons they have behind the entry of any place they are deciding to commit a crime against. An armed society is a polite society. All the worst crime rate areas are places that have chosen to tie the hands of law abiding citizens in favor of only the state and criminals being armed.
I can only imagine the heart break of watching a beautiful child lose her sense of security, innocence and perhaps faith. Have you heard of The Emotion Code? Perhaps worth looking into for your whole family. Blessings💗
We had a stalker during the time my dad passed. It was just my mom and i. The cops wouldnt & said they couldn't do anything because it was a civil matter. That he wasnt breaking any laws. This was right around this time, 1993. We eventually got rid of him, but ill never get over the stress he caused in our family.
delirous8 That's how my dad was. He would do whatever he could to make sure we were safe and protected no matter what. If someone crossed him or threatened our family, he'd have no problem with regulating them.
Lifetime REALLY needs to play these classics every wkend!!! There is NOTHING EVEN CLOSE to these types of movies anymore!! Also MORE WITH PAUL RUDD!! How awesome was this???❤
Thankful to know her daughter survived. Thank the LORD GOD for this mother's fight. Although, still not everyone survive's these tactics because of her resilience for justice and to protect her daughter, there are laws in place to protect against stalkers.
I just hate that we have to wait for something bad to happen to innocent people for the police to get involved. it sucks! it's like they ignore all the signs of a harasser or stalker. Those are the warnings that they need to focus on, the signs are clues!

The police are only enforcers of the law. Its the politicians who are making those laws. Stop voting Democrat! Look at California governor Jerry Brown who is setting record numbers of criminals free just so they can vote? And it's liberal judges who are being soft on these rapists and murderers, enforcing an agenda instead of the written rule of law. To blame the cops for the problems are ignorant. Cops are fathers and mothers too who don't want creeps roaming the streets with their kids either. They harass or intimidate a creep and he starts screaming police harassment/intimidation, excessive force, racism and the cop loses their job then they're blamed for the creeps on the streets. Smdh. Vote for politicians who actually get behind stalker laws, rape laws, anti-bullying laws. The cops isn't where the problem lies.

He’s jumped into my car in the parking lot at a mall or restaurant. Literally had to call police to detain him so I can drive away and he won’t follow me on the fwy. I didn’t know I could take legal action until watching this. Tonight I’m going to sleep so well. His name is Andrew Song. I think he’s trying to re live his youth through me.
Why are the dads in these old lifetime movies so chill about everything?! I'd be pissed!! If he's on your property and you catch him, beat him until he's paralyzed! These guys get away with murder, and the moms are left grieving with no support from their partner 💔
Right? They’re always completely oblivious to what’s going on, until it’s too late. I’ve been binging these old movies, & 9/10 times, the mother knows something is amiss, while the dad is completely dismissive.
Shanna Reed also played in The Night Caller in which she was the one being stalked. Stalking is really bad when u r the target, doesn't feel very safe. And it's difficult to know what to do.
I was 15 when someone started stalking me! And the very next day we had a restraining order against him! He still followed me everywhere I went, he was 30 years old and I was 15! This movie just makes me feel bad for the victim! Your dad should really man up and take care of this guy!

Thank God that these laws were finally passed I'm almost 60, so I worked in the late 70s, 80s, and 90s. I was harassed on my jobs, several times. Especially, in '94, I was an Executive Assistant for an EVP of a construction company in Manhattan. Short skirt suits were stylish, but I always wore with black opaque stockings. I remember a certain vendor would check in with our Reception on first floor, I was on 2nd. They would actually have the audacity to ask Reception; what I was wearing today. It got out of hand. Finally, I told my boss that if this didn't stop, I was suing for harassment. Oh, they stopped.

The last judge Curt saw wasn't f***ing around. He WARNED Curt to stay away from Laurisa and the other Anellos, but noooooo, he had to be a hard-head and keep messing up. He got what he deserved after that last confrontation with Laurisa (the garage scene). I wished Nelson would've gotten a punch on him after he caught Curt sitting in his car near the house "waiting" for Laurisa. Boy, did Nelson have a surprise for him! It was a shame, though, he messed up his hand. And Scott (Laurisa's boyfriend) actually DID land a few punches during that street fight! Laurisa kept begging him not to fight him, but Scott didn't care. He wanted to send a message to Curt to tell _him_ to "stay away from her!" How exciting that was!
This is one of the most terrifying movies I have ever seen. Can you imagine a time when "laws were not fit for purpse?" Back then, stalking was not as recognised as it is now? The movie is so sad because the survivor/ victim was a child. You would think that laws would exist to protect her.

I agree. The family likely incorrectly 'assessed' Curt,....they thought he was likely mentally slow or something harmless like that. This was also many years before a lot of stalking cases hit the media. They likely thought he would go away on his own. But nowadays, people are more wary....as they should be.

K Deloris Their hands were tied by ineffective laws that didn't recognize stalking as the crime it is now. Stalking laws weren't even on the books. This case was 1 of many that inspired the Florida antistalking statute.
Great Movie...I like the part when the MOM tells her friends to take her back home form going to the movies to check on her daughter. Then tells her husband that her priority are her children and their welfare and she'll do whatever it takes to protect them.
The hot dog that the spectators were passing around was from Curt he was there watching Larissa man he's obsessed with her and it's not a healthy obsession
It was really mean of Clarissa's friend to say that she likes older men she is not into older men it's the other way around the guy wants her it's not her wanting him some friend she is I would have kicked your ass out of my house for saying such a thing
Everyone was so passive with him even after him sending the letters and all. They waited way too long to do something about this and now look what happened... This is why, even at work I don't even make small talk with the men customers. Most men do not know what 'no' truly means, and you also have to be firm when telling them to really back off or you're not interested. It's crazy how men can pursue a woman who doesn't want them, and then it turns into obsession and also stalking and/or killing. No means no if a woman isn't interested in you, LEAVE HER ALONE. Damn
Unfortunately the laws at the time allowed this sonofabitch to commit his crimes even though the law did not view it as a crime yet. Stalking wasn't recognized for what it is.
Jupiter Rising Absolutely. And some of them are called “mom.” The shit that label allows them to get away with is even more horrifying in terms of chronicity and severity than this.

Yep!
Am proud of your dad! That stepmom was an idiot for acting it was no big deal. You have to stand up to these AHs all the time.

I hate when people dont take a hint like really if someone is not interested take a hint and move on
there are people who have mental illness. their brain waves are sending all the wrong messages. we all hate them but they can't help it too. it is just frustrating how some of these people get around the law and get away with whatever it is that they are doing. we are lucky we are not living in the year that this movie was made/ based on. our laws nowadays are slowly covering grounds of what could have happened if these types of behavior and actions don't stop.
I have a stalker, a 60 some year old man who believes we're soulmates and going to be king and queen of the world someday and he has magical powers and choke people with them and control the weather and make rain and other crap and still doesn't get the hint I do not like him and am terrified of him and want him to leave me alone!
I have many times after they end I file for another one and the judge would approve it thankfully but he walks right through them
Samantha Forette,I agree with you.As a childless single man,I have 100% control of my sexual desires by waiting for a childless single female to do all the talking to me when there's no act of courtesy, emergency, work,or business involved.I'm not like these men who make assumptions, take the wrong chances and wrong advice about the meeting anti-social females, emulating the tactics that other men use to meet anti-social females, and get their hopes up on and caught up in the wrong things or the wrong way of right things wasting their time, breath, energy, and motion on females who aren't interested in them.If I waited days, weeks, months, and years for a childless single female to tell me what type of pleasure can she have with me that I expect her to have with me and she don't mention about,it then I would leave her alone and forget about her like she wants me to, and if there are men who have it difficult to follow my example, this may sound strange coming from me and sound like it don't relate to this subject matter, but I hope it works for the sake of decreasing the chances of harassment of females and other matters as well.Men who are both childless, single, and sexually addicted should go find out where can they determine their chances of becoming a father before they have sex with a female which means that men should know if they"re sterile and they won't be able to impregnate a female after having sex.

Movies like this (if it didn't happen) should truly b shown in schools to help teach students that there are truly awful ppl like this that terrify youngsters/teens.

That's something the movie barely mentions. Stalkers are usually ex-partners, and they'll follow you from state to state.

I hate how calm the father is. He is so passive about the fact that a grown ass man is stalking his daughter.
Yeah, his attitude was obnoxious but because the mother was so gung-ho, they always have to have a character opposite that.
I imagine Kurt and Larissa are really good friends in real life.
He finally quit after my step mom practically jumped over the McD's counter he was working at, purposely made a scene (which got him fired on the spot), and threatened to send my dad after him if he didn't leave me alone (my dad is very old-school Italian; it wouldn't have ended pretty).

Her parents getting her an uncovered car when she's had a clearly unhinged stalker for over a year made me lol 😂😂
He shot at your daughter essentially and that wasn’t a priority?! That is so many kinds of messed up!

Blessings💗
@@angelapeggues9219 And to think these are the people we pay with our Taxes to protect us
Thanks for uploading it
We had a stalker during the time my dad passed. It was just my mom and i. The cops wouldnt & said they couldn't do anything because it was a civil matter. That he wasnt breaking any laws. This was right around this time, 1993.
We eventually got rid of him, but ill never get over the stress he caused in our family.
When I was teen my sibling used to stalked. The time spans the weirdos acted matched
The father is really unsettling, how can you just stand by and let this maniac run and ruin your family's life.
***** I know I don't mean to sound shallow but I would not marry a man who can't protect his family.
***** it is ashame, his daughter's outlook on life won't be the same and he is partially to blame for not pulling his weight.
+delirous8 My ex husband was the same way as Laurisa's father in this movie. One of the reasons he's my ex husband.
delirous8 That's how my dad was. He would do whatever he could to make sure we were safe and protected no matter what. If someone crossed him or threatened our family, he'd have no problem with regulating them.
Beverly B that is a great father.
Lifetime REALLY needs to play these classics every wkend!!! There is NOTHING EVEN CLOSE to these types of movies anymore!! Also MORE WITH PAUL RUDD!! How awesome was this???❤
I only watched this to see young Paul Rudd... (adorable)... and this ended up being a good true movie
thanks so much for putting this up here! I haven't seen it in years!
I saw this move years ago....BUT NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD HAPPEN TO ME...IT DID!!!
Veronica Pointer Yes, he would honestly have a knife to her throat for the police to get involved. #crazypeople.
Veronica Pointer yes I've been there moved eight years kept finding me breaking in police did nothing.
Veronica Pointer I have a 26 year old now from that.police said hard to prove because you were sexual with him before willingly.evil the guy police were just like him.didnt care me and my son were being abused.Im lucky to be alive how many times I was choked and head knocked against my head board and knocked out and rapped
I agree, why wait until it's too damn late. It sickens me. I felt bad for her.
The cops isn't where the problem lies.
i wasn't even going to watch this movie at first, but i gave it a chance. wow!! i'm glad i did. great movie. it's sad how some people just don't know what LEAVE ME ALONE mean!! overall, thanks for the upload!!
Allison Wonderland Oh they know. As George Simon Ph.D observed, “It’s not that they don’t see, they just don’t agree” the rules, laws etc. apply to them.
God! I miss the old Lifetime. Their movies used to be sooooo good.
Where's Chris Hansen when you need him?
Cee Cee yes 😂😂👏👏👏👏
Baja hahah hahaha! 😂😆😂😆

Dodging bill collectors & writing bad checks now 😂👀
Exactly
at some point I thought they never get this guy but eventually they did thank God
And now, in 2024, he lives 2 houses down from me. The same St Pete address. Hasn't moved yet.
Also, this movie is based on the true story of Bruce Raines of St Pete FL. Google it. Guys creepy. His house has the windows boarded up and he is always outside with his shirt off staring.
Lifetime always showed the best movies miss them so much this is absolutely amazing to see this awesome movie these movies will always have you wanting more because there are so many more of these awesome movies and the actors do a great awesome job amazing thank you for sharing and making it possible to see them they will never be forgotten
A MOVIE CALLED STALKING BACK I HAVE SEEN IT THREE TIMES YES AND NOW IS FEBRUARY 2020
Thank you for the anti stalking laws. There’s this guy 12 years older than me that’s been stalking me for almost 11 years now. I’m so glad to find out there’s things I can do.
Wow, sorry to hear that. How old were you when he started stalking you?
I'm watching this right now...I love the 90s Lifetime movies.
Because they're based on real life.
My dad would have beaten the brows off him.
MY Dad would have knocked him silly!!
One thing that people should know is that this was Paul Rudd's movie debut (23 year's old). Now 26 years later he starring in one of the Biggest Action Films of all time (Avengers Endgame) !!!
Thank God that these laws were finally passed
I'm almost 60, so I worked in the late 70s, 80s, and 90s.
This when lifetime had the fresh real actors and good plots great movie still happening to this day
When he started yelling I LOVE YOU LAURISA in front of all her classmates they really shouldve convicted him then.
Yes that was so inappropriate
@@positivevibes5364 He had a crush on her since she was 11.....how can he not see how fucked up and demented that is? And now he's stalking her, showing up to events and proclaiming his love for a girl who's still a child while he's a grown man. Dude is sick.
Prevert brains don't function normally at all.
👍
uhm, free speech?
What an incredible story. I'm just so thankful that he didn't physically harm Larissa. I mean mentally harming a person is VERY serious. This guy was 20 cards short of a full deck!! I'm so glad that she had a very strong family core. They put up with so much, but continued to stay strong for their daughter. I wish that PSYCHO could have been put away for a very long time. It was obvious he didn't take his punishment seriously.
He may have been 20 cards short of.a.deck but he sure knew what he was doing was wrong so he can't say he was incompetent because very well aware of what he was doing.
@@stevensgirl85 AGREED!
@@stevensgirl85 Problem was he was smart enough to know what he could get away with and what was against the Law . At least till the end
@@robertrodriguez787 I guess nobody should be underestimated, They come across as slow and may have been bullied but he was obsessed with Laryssa caus she was the only one who wasn't mean and he became DANGEROUS!
Alex Kennedy the law wasn’t as..enlightened as it is now
That father was weak. Even the younger brother was more aggressive.
He said: "Leave my sister alone you sicko" and threw a baseball bat.
What would it help? They would just lock out dad, that's all.
Yeah true but he had to think about laurisa he didn't want to make things all shitty and chaotic for her then they already were I stand by him at least he was trying not to react before curt was going too far with his bullshit.Don't be too hard on the dad at least laurisa fought back in the end really.
@@industrialcathedral that's the sacrifice a real dad would take duh
@@kimson305 sacrifice? Leaving his daughter and wife all alone and with a social stigma?

He sent flowers to a child with "secret admirer" on the note. Red flag, act fast. The pervert should not be around school children in the first place.
@Brittany Ehlert The father and mother should have stepped up right away and straightened him out. Might not have done any good with this sicko but still...
He shouldn't have been allowed to umpire after that
@Brittany Ehlert What was he again for the record? I 1st thought 28, but then I heard 24?
@@ydcee3123 But they did step up. This guy was determined. Nothing was going to stop him short of jail, which he got in the end.
@@arsonhakobyan I'm only 8 minutes in but the mother just said "most 24 year old men would not be drawn to a 14 year old girl." So yep, he's 24. What a perv!
Back when Lifetime movies had good writers, good plots, and good acting. Lifetime hasn’t made a good movie since the 90s
I agree. All of the Lifetime movies now are so cheesy. I’ve never heard of most of the people who play in them. I miss these old movies.
The mother had more guts than the father at least she did things to try and keep her daughter safe
It's not that the father didn't care, but he thought that things would just blow over with the warnings that we're given to Curt, not realizing that it just pushed him more to try to get close to Laurisa.
I would be in jail or prison cause I wouldn't let that bastard stalk and ruin my daughters life.
gingey2008 Ok his ass would be grass

flowers to a 14 yr old from 24yrold.
that would be that.
hes got a problem.
+Jayne Eyrei was thinking the same thing he seems know how to get around the law
@Jayne Eyre no way...no excuses for these psychos
I agree. The family likely incorrectly 'assessed' Curt,....they thought he was likely mentally slow or something harmless like that. This was also many years before a lot of stalking cases hit the media. They likely thought he would go away on his own. But nowadays, people are more wary....as they should be.
yeh but wait -- don't you remember being that naive and taking kind gestures and extensions of friendship at face value?
@Julie W. Like what, exactly?
Thank you for posting these movies! Being stuck inside with the whole corona virus lockdown, it’s good to see movies that are based on true stories! Gives us something to take our minds off of everything that’s going on! The guy in this movie is bat shit looney tune C R A Z Y!!! Scary to think that stuff like this can happen to anyone!
They let that go on way too damb long that was crazy
K Deloris Their hands were tied by ineffective laws that didn't recognize stalking as the crime it is now. Stalking laws weren't even on the books. This case was 1 of many that inspired the Florida antistalking statute.
Great Movie...I like the part when the MOM tells her friends to take her back home form going to the movies to check on her daughter. Then tells her husband that her priority are her children and their welfare and she'll do whatever it takes to protect them.
I thought the Dad was a bit of a wuss!💜✌️
I loved watching these movies with my mom ❤❤

The hot dog that the spectators were passing around was from Curt he was there watching Larissa man he's obsessed with her and it's not a healthy obsession

mace might help, too.
Damn
there are female stalkers too
Bree Kornegay I second that!
Your so right
Unfortunately the laws at the time allowed this sonofabitch to commit his crimes even though the law did not view it as a crime yet. Stalking wasn't recognized for what it is.
Jupiter Rising Absolutely. And some of them are called “mom.” The shit that label allows them to get away with is even more horrifying in terms of chronicity and severity than this.
I love 90's lifetime movies.
If some creepy stalker who is old enough to be my father was standing's there yelling my name I would be freaked
The little brother was the only one with sense
He wasn't having it good for him !
